I have a persistent problem. On websites that require me to use Google Authenticator or a proprietary app (my bank), Firefox requires me to authenticate whenever I start a new session. Both bank and other websites say I should only have to authenticate once on a new device. I have no problem staying logged in to other websites so I don't think it's a cookie issue. The problem appears to only be on my Windows PC, I'm not being asked to reauthenticate in FF on my android phone. Everything is latest version, problem has bee around for many months.
