This SAME topic has been asked in MANY of the Threads - And a Moderator has locked EACH of the threads it seems - But NO ONE seems to be able to tell us - WHY the "''''Ask whether to open or save files''''" does not work anymore.

I had to reinstall Windows 11 and all my files and programs a few weeks ago - and since then - I found the above does NOT work anymore. Now, I have a boat-load full of documents in a Downloads folder - when ALL I wanted to do is open and look at the various files that I received - BUT NOT save them.

I tried to leave or make the """"""Save files to"""" field BLANK - which I thought would be a great solution as Then the "ASK" prompt would HAVE TO ASK you where you want to save or NOT save the file - but it won't allow you to do that either!

I've attached screen grabs - lest you think I do not know how to manage the Applications settings.

bold text My firefox browser has somehow gotten the Easy Login browser hacker, and it is causing me numerous problems including; A. It's icon is blocking part of my firefox screen; B. When I seek to go to an address, it opens a different address...

I have "Open previous windows and tabs" checked in the settings, And have been using firefox in that manner for years, Like I would close the browser, And would beable to come back to what I was working on. But after an update, I came back to all my tabs gone, And I opened multiple tabs and closed, And opened the browser again and there were no more tabs. Why am I getting the message below every time I try to go on the The Great Courses website? The Great Courses Customer Service Dept it is Firefox that is blocking me from accessing their website. Please tell me how to correct the problem.

As part of my job I need to fill in long content into webpages. Many of the words can be long and not so common in everyday language - but are words that I use many times in the report writing I do. Like with MS Word's AutoCorrect... Could there not be an option for custom work shortcuts, such as:

cst automatically becomes: custom prg automatically becomes: Pseudomonas aeruginosa

OK - I must be missing something. On my previous browser, Opera, if I wanted to see details of my passwords then I needed to put in the computer password, so keeping them quite secure. However, Firefox seems to let anyone using the browser to access the full details of all my passwords, even offering to copy them! This has to be the most insecure approach possible - surely this can't be correct, can it?

the browser will not open comments sections in Aol, and JPost. But, in other browsers the comments section on the bottom of each article is available. How can i fix it?

I get this msg from FIrefox when I try to login from the webpage kp.org. I have no problem on Microsoft Edge.

Also on NBCwashington.com/weather the video doesn't play on Firefox but does on Microsoft Edge. I contacted NBC Washington local station and they can find no problem on their web page.

On Opera and Chrome, I am logged in as a google user. I make a diary available from a web page which is limited as to how the viewer sees it. If I (or another authorised user) is viewing it then they see all the detail. If anyone else sees it then they only see 'busy' against all the bookings. This has worked fine for years.

On changing to Firefox, though, when the web diary is accessed - even though I am logged in properly - it only shows the 'busy' view. It seems as if it's not maintaining my google login, hence showing the 'incorrect' view.

Is there anything that I can change to make this work properly?

Something funny started happening, but only recently. I cannot reach the Super Micro website, or any of it's sub-pages (https://www.supermicro.com) in normal mode. Though when using private mode, I can. I've already cleared cache and cookies, removed add-ons and add blockers and tinkered with the settings.

Hoping you can help me because I need this website multiple times a day for my job and I don't fancy using 2 browsers, Firefox being my favourite one.
