I'm not sure if this is a new feature in Thunderbird or whether it's due to me setting up a new account whose server was IMAP - but either way...

Sent and received emails used to appear in their own (linear) list but I'm suddenly finding that sends and replies are appearing now in something called a Collapsed List. These can end up out of sequence and (I assume...) it's not possible to delete one entry without deleting all the entries underneath it?

So is there a setting somewhere where I can go back to the original linear arrangement?

I've read through lots of instructions, and tried to list a site as an exception to the ad blocker, but it doesn't seem to work. The site that I want to be able to contact me is Rakuten.com. Please help. This seems so complicated.

I want to put a button on the Toolbar which performs: Edit, Find, Search Messages (Ctrl-Shift-F) with one click of the mouse.

1. How can I put a Search Messages button on on a Toolbar? 2. Like with MS Office I would like to be able to place a custom toolbar below

downloading only produces " .part " files in my downloads directory. I had previously attempted a large file download but error message said it was not completed. Now cannot download anything

I have 10 email accounts in my Thunderbird 115.12.2 (64-bit) and I am using Microsoft Windows 10 Pro and all my sent, draft, archives and templates are going into a different folder. I want them to go into the folder from which the email was sent but they are all going into the email tinakeeling@att.net.

I have changed it to reflect the correct folder but then a few days later and every time I restart Thunderbird the program changes the folders back to tinakeeling@att.net

I have even unchecked the box "place a copy in" and when Thunderbird is restarted it reverts back.

What can I do to fix this issue?

Built a web page which looks fine in all browser but when it comes to firefox focus

The font size and layout shifted and I am not able to find the viewport width and size

Even tried with Chrome dev tools to set my viewport width and height to check but when originally render on page its look weird

I tried changing my color contrast settings to "never" BUT STILL, this thing still has a solid color. i'm making a web page, i tried using neocities, strawpages rn and also i visited other sites and they keep getting the same solid color problem, im tired. you can see how when im editing my site it has a anime girl background but then when i visit my page itself i dont see anything, i know eveyone can see it but im the creator and it really bothers me.

In the Privacy & Security pane we have the following configuration

Clear history when Firefox closes with all items selected except for Site Settings. Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed with some exceptions in Manage Exceptions.

But after quitting and re-launching Firefox there frequently entries for random websites shown in the "Manage Data..." pane.

This seems to related to having Facebook Container and Firefox Multi-Account Containers extensions installed. It does not seem to happen when they are not present. Interestingly. we had been using a a very similar Firefox configuration on a legacy Intel macOS system without this issue. We began seeing it while setting-up a fresh installation of Firefox on a new Apple Silicon system with macOS Ventura. The issue was reproduced in a new profile. It continues to the present day with up the current version of Firefox 129.01 on macOS 14.6.1 I feel like this is probably a bug but I don't have the necessary skill to make an effective bug report.

I want you to let the control key free for me to use as I have always done for other programs. Why did you took direct control of that key? It always opens a new window I do not need. I use control key plus c key to open another program and now I cannot open it with its own keys combination: control-c-c. Please, tell me how to disable it and stop it opening a new Firefox window. I have some Gmail accounts that are approaching the size limit, but I still use them, and want to keep them. Much of the content is archive material, and I might occasionally want to search and retrieve from it, but I do not need to have it remain and taking up space on the servers, as I could store this on my drives and do this offline. What options are available to keep a an email account synced on their servers (IMAP) for current email content and save archived content on my drives (POP), preferabl;y so that I could move them back and forth between the two?

I seem to have lost the ability to open live links sent to me in Thunderbird?

If someone sends me a link to a car for example on ebay I used to be able to clicl the link in thunderbird and Firefox would display the page on ebay, it now just wiggles the Firefox Icon and a notification comes up saying you can view it, you then have to click the firefox Icon as firerefox is there with the page from the linked email you clicked. If firefox is not running it will work as it previously did and open the link, but if firefox it running it just shakes the firefox icon and say available. Firefox won't bring the page to the fore like it did before the last update. Firefox is set as the default browser.

Hello! I have sorted e-mails by a star and choose the option to group them. Now I have two groups - with and without a star. When I open the app, the groups are hidden and I have to expand them manually to see the messages. Can I somehow change it, so the groups would be extended by default?

How do I change the order links open in new tabs? So far I've only found two orders they open in: X, X, O, X Using the above as an example, O will serve as the active tab that multiple links are being opened from. The only two orders I have found tabs will open on desktop are as follows: X, X, O, X, 1, 2, 3, 4 X, X, O, 1, 2, 3, 4, X But the order I am looking to achieve is the same order that the mobile app opens links in which is as follows: X, X, O, 4, 3, 2, 1, X I have already tried all combinations of the advanced settings "browser.tabs.insertAfterCurrent" and "browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent" but still have not been able to achieve the desired order.

Since a few days all incoming email for certain accounts have automatically a the "Important" tag. I did not intentionally set this. What could be the cause? I have many filters (hundreds) could there be a filter that does this? How could I find it. Could it be another setting?

Hello! After updating Firefox Nightly on Android, I found out that it separated toolbar and an address bar, and it's impossible to move toolbar back to the address bar. So now it's at the bottom of the screen regardless of preferences. I looked into the options and haven't found any way to put the toolbar back on the top of the screen. I can only move the address bar around. So now it's all very inconvenient. Maybe I am missing something?

Is there any way to remove the address bar icons (reading mode, translate, share) ??

Even without showing the "https" and/or the "www' the address is very small and these icons making it worse.
