I installed Firefox years ago. This morning, when I click on the browser icon, I get this message: Error platform '127.0.2' is not compatible with minVersion>= 127.0.1 maxVersion<= 127.0.1

What is going on? The browser updates itself so I don't do anything. But now, it doesn't work. I use an alternate browser to send this message to you.

Windows taskbar doesn't unhide itself when firefox is maximised.

Automatically hide taskbar in desktop mode => Enabled Firefox => Maximised When cursor is moved to outer edge of screen, taskbar should unhide (Expected behaviour) but in this case it remain hidden (Reality). Firefox along with all other spinoffs give same result. Chromium based browser works perfect, and taskbar automatically unhide itself.

As OLED screen have became common as monitor, Taskbar auto-hide is must. If this issue cann't be fixed I may have to change my primary browser which I used for almost 15 years.

Kindly, look into it. If Chromium can do it, why not Firefox.

I am using Windows 11 and FF 127.02. I have read the lag issue with Youtube was suppose to be corrected with FF 127.02 but it is not. I have been using FF for many years now an love it. It is my understanding that it is the ad blockers causing the slow down. Do you have an estimated date when this will be resolved. I have tried every trick included running it in diagnostic mode or trouble shooting mode. Nothing seems to work. Not even a refresh.

My Local Inbox suddenly started to arrange itself by group according to correspondent. I can't get the emails back into chronological order. I can't work with a mail program that doesn't give me my messages in chronological order, with most recent at the bottom. If I did something to cause this change, please tell me how to undo it. I have about eight email addresses, and they all feed mail into the Local Inbox.

I've been having this reoccurring firefox bug every couple of months where randomly all audio from the application stops working is no longer available in the volume mixer of windows 11 (see example screenshot with twitch tab in background playing)

In the past, I was able to fix this issue by simply restarting the audisrv service and everything would work normally but now nothing I do seems to work. I've tried:

- Resetting - Uninstall/reinstall - Disabled all extensions - New profile

I do not have this issue on firefox dev or firefox nightly. If anyone has any ideas on how I could resolve or better diagnose this issue it would be much appreciated! TIA

I have a very good PC (5800X3D, 7900XT, 32GB DDR4 3600), but Firefox (either the normal, canary and nightly version) can't play smoothly any 4K video (like the Borderlands trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lU_NKNZljoQ ). 1440 and lower resolutions are fine, as are 4K videos on Chrome and Edge. FWIW, my CPU during 4K playback is barely used (1-2%), and my GPU's video codec (VCE) is used by around a third. Disabling HW accel makes things better, as it still stutters but it's (barely) passable. I already tried creating a new profile, but still it's the same.

I'm trying to read some old emails in an account from around 20 years ago that I have kept in Thunderbird the entire time. I stopped using the account, but kept it configured as it always had been with the old email saved in it. The emails are in several folders in Thunderbird, and I can see them listed when I select a folder, but the content of most of them is now invisible. For many years I upgraded Thunderbird and they remained visible, and I naively assumed that would always be the case. I think the visibility problem happened after a Thunderbird upgrade sometime within the last few years. Strangely, a few emails are readable. I think they're the last ones I viewed before I became unable to see additional ones I select to view. I believe all the data is still there, but I don't know how to read it. In the file system, here's what my Thunderbird profile Mail directory looks like:

/Users/myMacUser/Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/my-random.default/Mail account.server.name - TB Email Folder 1.sbd (empty directory) - TB Email Folder 1 (no file extension, apparently the file containing the email data. File sizes suggest they contain data) - TB Email Folder 1.msf (the index file, apparently readable) etc.

I'm using Thunderbird 115.12.2 on MacOS Sonoma 14.5. I tried several types of exports with the ImportExportTools NG extension, but it just exported zero byte or blank files for the invisible emails.

How do I read these folder data files?

After updating, it still refuses to connect. There is nothing wrong with Mailfence and I do not find anything wrong with the configuration settings in Thunderbird. When opening a website, the url has a padlock with a red line thru it (unsecured), the browser then waits about 5-8 seconds for the red line to disappear (secure )then begins loading the content. It behaves on win 10 and android devices. Upon refreshing Firefox on win 10, it got faster, but reverted. Unchecked wait for secure sites doesn't help.

I am using Thunderbird 115.12.1 (64 bit) on Windows 10 with the email account set up as POP3 for the Gmail account

I have a subfolder under an Inbox (Gmail account) that is no longer showing up. If I search for an email address from a sender that was in the folder, I get a list of emails showing the dates and subject, but if I click on the email, the tab that opens is blank.

My PC crashed, but I can't say for sure when the folder disappeared, other than I know it was there 4 days ago. It the the only subfolder that is missing.

I am a Cox email user and was recently migrated to Yahoo. After I input the correct server settings on the Thunderbird app,each time I click on the Get Message button, It starts downloading all (100K+) the email messages in my Yahoo inbox, including the ones that were already downloaded on my computer from the Cox server. I run a dual boot system with Fedora 40 with Thunderbird installed via DNF and Windows 11 Professional with Thunderbird installed from the Mozilla download site. I have had a Gmail account configured on both sides for some time. Recently I have been seeing very slow (2-3 minutes) outgoing sends from the Gmail account on the Fedora side ( thankfully they are eventually successful), but no such slowdowns from the Windows 11 side. As far as I can tell the accounts on both sides are configured the same (I always take the automatic config option when adding an account). I have also looked at the extra account settings required for OAuth2 authentication with Fedora, and believe they are all correct. I have made sends directly from the Gmail server, and they have no delay, so the problem must be related to communication between Thunderbird and the Gmail server on the Fedora side. Interestingly, I do get the following warning message when opening the Fedora Thunderbird:


Could Not Authenticate -- Imap(imap.gmail.com)

The server for account "imap (imap.gmail.com)" refused the supplied username and password. Do you want to go to the settings for another attempt at logging in, or do nothing?

Login failed, sever replied A000002 NO Invalid credentials (Failure) [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED]


This obviously is a problem, yet it doesn't seem to be fatal, as the server eventually connects, but after the delay. I have checked my account password, and I know it is correct. I would appreciate any insights into what is going on.
