WHY is it that I can get into my email account through Thunderbird and download mail, but when I try to go into the account manually I can't? I go into the settings copy the password, then manually input it into gmail, but it says it's the wrong password?

• Firefox 127.0.2 (64 bit), Windows 10, all extensions disabled.
• Tested also with a clean portable version (same Firefox version).

In private mode, on Google Images, large images (in the preview pane: if you click on an image in the search results) are sometimes (but not always) blurry. This is not the case in the "normal", nonprivate mode.

It works fine on Android, and other browsers also work fine. I have had this issue for a very long time now, but only now realized that it's a private-mode issue.

Example, which is reproducible for me: Search "site:linkedin.com new york" on Google Images and pick an image with a sufficiently large resolution.

I am using Firefox 127 on Ubuntu.

When I press the Control key, I often lose focus in the window I am currently viewing. This is annoying as it prevents me from copy-pasting for example.

Sometimes the focus is back when I release Control, sometimes it is lost and I have to click again on the text field. It does not happen on all websites, for example support.mozilla.org works well, but it happens on duckduckgo or overleaf.

It does not seem to be the same as existing issues such as [the "show mouse when press Ctrl" of Ubuntu] (it is disabled) or an addon (the problem still happens in safe mode).

In case it is useful, when I press Control the tab bar background goes slightly darker, see attached images.

This started a week or two ago intermittantly on some websites. Today I cannot see any images of amazon items in the shopping cart. I can see the thumbnails in the right side bar, and if I click on an item, the image appears on its for sale page. Ebay usually shows the first image, but the rest won't load, unless I click on "unable to load images" and then they might. Or if I use the icon to put the images in their own box, I can < and > to navigate them

Turned the new "secure DNS" feature off & on, no difference. Turned off NoScript, no difference.

Notifications/New emails not popping up on Mac OS Sonoma 14.5.

I've tried everything including checking Focus Do not disturb is off, all settings in Firefox and Outlook are turned on to recieve notofictions but still nothing.

I'm on a new Mac Studio, but also found that it had started to not show notifications on the older iMac.

I have set toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets to TRUE in both Thunderbird and Betterbird.

I have created the file C:\Users\MYNAME\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\r2v9k1zw.default\chrome\userChrome.css

I have successfully entered css into that file that work as expected in Thunderbird v115.12 and has for the past several versions. But I have NOT been able to do anything in that file that works with BetterBird. In fact, using the inspector, I don't see userChrome.css even being loaded! I have also tried starting the file with '@namespace html url(“http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml”)' but that makes no difference either.

How do I get BetterBird to recognize the userChrome.css file?

Dear FireFox, I am writing this E-mail to address a critical issue. So i wanted to set up a password for my firefox browser so that only I can access it. i set a primary password, and it asks me to enter the password when i open my browser. However, when the message appears asking me to enter the password, you can just click "cancel" option or press 'x' it ignores the password and lets me in the browser, essentially rendering the purpose of the password useless. thus anyone can access my browser. i request you to fix this problem. When playing any Ren'Py web build on Firefox Windows, the frames freeze while entering inputs. Depending on what is being displayed on screen, sometimes it will still continue despite the mouse movement, but most things just completely freeze up. Once the inputs stop, the frames will skip ahead to where they should be. This only seems to happen on Windows, as I was told it is not repeatable on Ubuntu using Firefox. This is also not an issue on Chromium based browsers.

Is there a keyboard shortcut to remove cookies from the website? I mean the page I am currently on. And if there is no such shortcut, can I somehow create one myself?

I installed Firefox years ago. This morning, when I click on the browser icon, I get this message: Error platform '127.0.2' is not compatible with minVersion>= 127.0.1 maxVersion<= 127.0.1

What is going on? The browser updates itself so I don't do anything. But now, it doesn't work. I use an alternate browser to send this message to you.

It seems like a difficult problem, which no one knows how to solve, not even Firefox (?) The problem has existed for a while and has not been recognized and resolved by Fiorefox. Very simple and straightforward problem: open a web page, give permission for location (this is indeed set in the settings) and the web page can determine the location. After closing the web page and restarting it, the location is blocked again, even though the settings states that Firefox still has access to the location.

I can't SEND on Thunderbird as of Update to Version 115.12.1 on 6/19. I was able to SEND on June 18th and left town for a week and when I came back could not Send. That could be a coincidence. Have Windows 11, with Defender Firewall and Security virus protection. I have TB version 115.12.2 up to date. I have checked with Spectrum for the correct configuration and currently I have as Description: SMTP Server (on top line); Server Name: Mail.brighthouse.com and Port 465, No Authentication and SSL/TLS. My User Name: e-mail address ends in @tampabay.rr.com and that is the same as shown on incoming server.

My husband just downloaded TB program on his Windows 8.1 which is my old computer that I've been running TB on for 15 years without a hitch!! ''''And he also cannot SEND.'''' It's very frustrating - we've tried changing server settings since Spectrum uses not only Brighthouse (which is the one they say covers the Tampabay.rr.com address) but they also use Mobil.charter.net and also TWC.com. I've tried changing them up but nothing works. I've tried changing Ports and anything I could change I did, but nothing works. I did get a couple of error msgs but they didn't help. Brighthouse timed out and another msg was saying that the email address I was sending as had to match the email address of the authentication and that didn't make sense as I have only had one address & (typed correctly in all places). I have called Spectrum more than once and asked for an upper level, however, they were no help at all saying they have no resp. for 3rd party etc. I HOPE YOU CAN HELP SOLVE THIS MYSTERY. Thank you!

I found missing customization option for Android Firefox to be AMOLED black theme, it just gets darker but not pitch black. Or I haven't found the way to do it

I am using an older MacBook Pro running Mojave 10.14.6, for which the latest Firefox is 115.12.0ser (64-bit). It has always been working like a champ, but a few weeks ago, individual YouTube video pages look very odd. Usually the related recommended videos are along the right edge in one row, and below the default video window is the title, description, and then the comments.

The problem I have is that these two components became transposed, and if the video is displayed as full screen, the page can be pushed upwards to show the title etc got squashed below the video window, with the recommended videos still in a grid below it. I hope the included pictures are sufficient to illustrate the issue.

Another computer, an iMac running El Capitan 10.11.6, and Firefox 78.15.0ser owned by a family member, does not show this odd phenomenon. I must say I am quite intrigued by this, and would greatly appreciate any help my fellow members can offer.

As described in [question] I am unable to install addons in Thunderbird: when attempting to install an addon, either via the in-app browser or via a file, a pop-up window appears for which "Add" and "Cancel" buttons do nothing (there is no way to move or remove the window without killing the process).

I am opening this question as this problem still persists over a year and many versions later.

Thunderbird V. 115.11.1-1 on 6.9.3-arch1-1 with Sway WM

After Thunderbird update 115.12.2(20240621154414) was installed on my PC on the 25/6/2024 I am unable to receive emails. I continue to get an error message on account noeljc@optusnet.com.au (IMAP)

   Connection to server mail.optusnet.com.au timed out.

or Failed to connect to server mail.optusnet.com.au. I have looked thru all the forums and tried various solutions without success including extending the setting for mailnews.tcptimeout to 3000. I have checked and validated my account server settings are as recommended by my ISP(Optus) are correct for authenticated emails. I even turned off my Norton VPN completely to no avail even though I use Split tunnelling to allow Thunderbird thru it as an exclusion. It appears to me there maybe a bug in the last Thunderbird update causing this. I have had this issue in the past at various times intermittently but it has always seemed to correct itself. I have been in contact with my ISP(Optus) regarding this error and all they could say was to logon to email server via webmail and did not offer any other solution. It appears there is a communication breakdown between my PC and the Email server somewhere. As I stated this only happened after the last Thunderbird update on my PC on 25/6 as it was working up until 24/6. I also have another optus email account for my wife on Thunderbird which has the same error messages. Could the Mozilla gurus please advise what to do.
