I recently had to update all my passwords for all my Thunderbird email accounts. It all seemed to go well. I was able to logon to all my email accounts, but just 2 days ago I wasn't able to logon to one of my secondary email accounts.

I haven't been able to clearly understand just where my passwords are located, so does anyone have any suggestions on where to find my passwords?  I'm stuck....

I'm running on windows 10. Evidently, Thunderbird updated itself last night and today my entire configuration is trashed. I'm going to have to re-set everything back up from scratch. Not Good and I'm not happy

Second time I am writing this. The first try upped and vanished when I was in "Troubleshooting" I believe. When FF starts up on this Win-11 laptop, left 25% of FF screen is obscured by popups concerned with articles in PC-Gamer. There must be some setting that will turn them off?

I used eMclient for years, but recently installed Thunderbird as my mail client. Does anyone know if my "Rules" in eMclient can be imported to Thunderbird ??

An unwanted bookmarks toolbar appears above the URL field, as shown in the image.

After all the bookmark shortcuts it contains are closed, and FF is restarted, the marks reappear.

How can they be purged permanently?

A number of folders in Tbird have changed to a greyed out and italicized font for the name--and are now empty. I have tried 'repair folder' and have also tried deleting the corresponding msf files in the profiles folder and restarting the program, but there is no change.

The files in the profiles folder that have the same name as the Tbird folders appear to contain data, so I'm assuming the messages are there--just need to get them into msf files somehow?

This is Windows 11, Thunderbird ver. 128.0.1esr.

Roboform StartPage will not display as a Custom URL as used before last Firefox update. If Firefox default HomePage is used with shortcuts the Roboform startPage will display, but the pinned items will not link to the logins.

Many web pages now 'flash' when opened in FF (128.0.3 64bit W10). ALL graphics images turn on then off in synchrony. Text does not seem to be affected. Disabling HW acceleration has no effect.

Seem to get the SAME errors in web page display in Chrome, but no flickering.

A problem that I just ran into is going to the shopping tab and having the pictures blurred out. Very difficult to know if your getting what you want if you can't even clearly see the items. I checked the settings and didn't see an option that should be causing this problem.

This morning, for the very first time in 12 years, I opened my hotmail/outlook email tab and got a completely blank white screen, and nothing more. I've restarted my laptop twice, just to see if it was a Windows glitch. Nope. I disabled ad blockers with the little shield in front of the URL--still no change.

I love Firefox and prefer to use nothing else. However, I tried to open my email with Edge and it works fine. It also works fine on my older computer that did NOT get the Firefox update, so something is amiss here. Firefox updated recently on this machine and I'm wondering if something went wrong in the update. I'm not very tech savvy, but can anyone help me?

I've got six email accounts I manage through TB. Until last week all was fine then all of a sudden, I could receive but not send email through Yahoo. I did a new app password and that failed. I deleted an email account in TB and tried to reinstall but got error messages.

I've loved TB but this is driving me insane. Please help me fix it!

Hello, I checked a few similar topics, but wasn't sure about the solution.

The account is IMAP type.

I realized there were 170GB of nstmp files, which I read are unnecessary product of a failed file organising, so I copied them to an external drive (as a backup) and deleted it from the computer.

At the similar time I updated Thunderbird to version 128.0.1esr.

Now old e-mails appear still in the Inbox folder, but they open as empty. Two recent e-mails show as a code, including ------=_NextPart_000_001E_01D97121.DE104D10 at the beginning. The rest old e-mails just show as empty. The e-mails still show correctly in the web of the server provider.

I could perhaps try Repair Folder, but I read that some people lost all the e-mails doing this, so I'm scared, I don't want to lose any e-mails. Is it safe? Can it help?

I tried "Reset toolbars and controls" in the safe mode as advised in one thread, but it didn't help.

I now made a back-up of the profile xxxxx.default

How to see the old e-mails content? Is Repair Folder safe and could help?

i stumbled on site actblue is sharing with 2 cross site cookies with websites i never allowed. i never look at the details because mac firefox "Standard" text implies never can have cross site tracking. The enter key only works for a short time in the search bar. Then it stops working, meaning I have to constantly restart. It's not any of my extensions. What is the problem? Is there any solution? Otherwise, Firefox is unusable for me.
