A while back, I had some very bad cataracts. In order to view text more easily, I somehow managed to change black text against a white background to white text against a black background in the pdf reader's settings. A side effect of this change was that color became grayscale. I would now like to return the settings to default. I've lost the article on how I made the changes. How can I get the pdf reader back to it's default settings?

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. The settings did not change.

Those marked grey (in attached file) are the only that are captured as all the rests are left out even if they was intended to be marked .

After I closed Firefox, a notice appeared that an update was in progress. Why should a Firefox update interfere with an active session? Is this an updating issue that needs fixing?

Youtube almost doesnt load videos

For over a month now i have a problem with youtube. It loads videos very badly. I have good connection speed, but 0 network activity and 0 buffer health in Stats For Nerd… (daɗa karatu)

For over a month now i have a problem with youtube. It loads videos very badly. I have good connection speed, but 0 network activity and 0 buffer health in Stats For Nerds on youtube and videos dont load. I can wait for 10-15 minutes (but sometimes they load almost instantly) before video load 40 sec buffer and after that buffer ends i can wait for another 10 minutes befor it load buffer again.

This problem persist only in my firefox on my computer. I tried deleting all the extensions, reinstalling firefox, "refresh firefox" future, changing useragent, reinstalling windows (it was the time anyways) but it doesnt solve the problem. I dont have this problem in other browsers (edge, librewolf, chrome) on my computer.

OS: win 11 x64 Firefox 127.0 x64

Just wanted to let you know, I think the fix to Youtube buffering fixed frame-by-frame navigation too

For several months it would occasionally skip a frame with one tap of the button then show the frame it should've shown when you tapped it again.

I just bought a new MacBook Air to replace a Windows 10 laptop which crashed about a week ago. I have my files backed up with Carbonite. I have found and downloaded a copy of my Firefox profile from Carbonite's website. I wanted to restore the profile to the new Mac computer. I have followed the instructions I found online to copy the specific files to the new profile. I finally got the bookmarks file to work, so my bookmarks are now transferred to the Mac. However, the passwords are still not showing up when I copy key4.db and logins.json to the new profile on the Mac. What can I do to get the passwords copied and restored to the Mac?

I do not know what version of Firefox I was running when the profile file was last backed up, but it was supposed to be running the current version when the laptop crashed last week. However, Carbonite shows the date of key4.db to be April of 2019 and the date of logins.json to be 10/8/2022. Should the files be newer? Would they be from an older version of Firefox that's not compatible with the current Mac version? I also just noticed that even though the bookmarks folder was dated 6/9/2024 in Carbonite, the restored bookmarks do not show some fairly recent bookmarks I added earlier this year. Is there any way to get my files back?

The Windows laptop that crashed is stuck in a loop and says it's trying to repair the hard drive. Is there a way to get it turned on but not booted up and connect it via a USB cable and transfer files to the Mac that way?

Hello all. Having updated Firefox a few days ago, we can no longer sign into Instagram. This happens only on Firefox, only since the last update, and Firefox is the same browser we have been using for years with Instagram. The problem is the cookie permission window for Instagram a) will not make a selection and b) will not disappear/close. We have attached a screenshot. There are no close tabs/buttons anywhere on this window, and we have looked the full length of the expanded window. As we have not changed any other setting, have not added any software, and this only happens on Firefox, we can only conclude that we have missed something which may have changed or been upgraded with your last update. This is quite urgent, as this is to manage the Instagram account of a wildlife conservation charity. So far we have tried reinstalling Firefox, clearing cookies, and deactivating/uninstalling all add-ons, however this has solved nothing. Could anyone suggest a solution please? YouTube VERY slow to start playing videos for the last 2-3 days

For the past couple of days when I watch videos on YouTube on my iMac it's VERY slow to start. Sometimes it takes minutes, at which point I have to refresh, and best case it takes about 1 minute to start.

I have cleared the startup cache, cleared cookies and restarted Firefox.

Also, YouTube works normally on both Safari and Chrome.

Not a super 'tech' guy so any basic steps I can take are appreciated.

Those 8 grids of Recent Activity in the older version of Firefox browsers used to have shown colorful graphics or images representative of the recent websites I visited in the recent past.

May I know what I am supposed to do to recover those graphics or images?

When I use Google Meet, in Chrome I can select on Meet Audio Device Select the different microphone or Speakers but in Firefox I can only select the Default System Speaker.

I would like to know how to change between my Audio Devices for the output or can switch between my different speakers.
