The fucking forced dark mode has return despite the previous fix layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override = 1 in about:config fixing it for years. This and the current replacement fixes don't save. I want a solution for PERMANENT light mode (black text on white background) for ALL menus, pop-ups, dropdown menus and hover over tab info.

And don't tell me to go search for a different theme I've already spent hours doing that and firefox has broken them only making some menus use the appropriate mode. On top of that I can't even pick an option to search for one that uses light mode I just have to go through each one and try it if I want to know which mode it uses that is NOT a solution to anything.

Replacement "fixes" for reference: ui.systemUsesDarkTheme won't even let me set to 0 only has true/false browser.theme.content-theme set to 1 browser.theme.toolbar-theme set to 1 (Why in the absolute hell these were added when a simple addition to preference setting wasn't is beyond me)

Very sorry for the aggressiveness but I am so very VERY tired of having to fight firefox on this preferance for years when their dark mode hurts my eyes.

I did a refresh in order to get Firefox 129 to speed up and lost a short cut or icon that would display my favorites in a column on left side of page and stay open until I closed them. This was extremely helpful if you have a list of sites you visit every day. The icon for this was an open book.

I have cleaned files, defragged, restarted over and over and Firefox 129.0 is so slow it is barely functioning. I have Win 10, Norton 360 & Roboform. Please help and give me advice an old man can follow.

Why does PG&E (Pacific Gas & Electric) now refuse to accept login's to their website using Firefox? They claim that they no longer accept Firefox as a supported browser. Gotta use Microsoft Edge (ughh)

I am having a problem when I try to click on "gameday" page on the MLB>COM web site. The gamday page will not load. I do not have the same problem if I use "Microsoft Edge"

My email application is zmailcloud.com from Cloudiance. It has worked fine for me for years using Firefox. However, in the last week or so, when I open an email message, I cannot see anything but empty "From"and To" fields. Nothing is in the body of the message, either (see attached screenshot). But, if I open a reply or forward message, everything in the original message appears normal (see other screenshot). This problem does not occur using Micrsoft Edge, only Firefox. Anyone have any suggestions???

I have purchased and installed Mozilla VPN on my laptop running Mozilla Firefox. I have set the VPN software to load and start on start up,however Mozilla VPN will not run on start up of my computer nor Mozilla Firefox. I have to start Mozilla VPN manually every time I use Mozilla Firefox.

When searching with Firefox, I am forwarded to a Captcha using Google search. I am not required if searching from chrome. Why the difference and how do I use Firefox and avoid the Captcha requirement?

I went to my local streaming platform Videoland (It's like netflix, a paid platform to watch series) And it's telling me the video can't play because my browser version is too old and I need to update it.

Of course, I checked and, well... my firefox is up to date. What could be the problem?

When I attempt to search something and expect a redirect to my search engine or try to access a site that autocompletes in the address bar (for example, typing drive, autocompleting to drive.google.com, then clicking Enter to go to Google Drive), sometimes the website does not load after pressing Enter, and it is as if the search/address input did not go through after pressing Enter.

This seems to be an issue that has been occurring only over the past few months. What may be the issue, and how may I resolve this?

this needs to be able to be disabled. I cannot view my reports on medicare.gov due to this security measure. Help and forums are not helpful.... It says just open in a new window, but if you do that, you have to log in and then it is not a new window, and will not open. Now I have to go another browser which irritates me to no end because I have used firefox always. There are many sites that have embedded information and reports that I would like to see, but cannot and they are perfestly SAFE. NOT ok firefox.

After 129.0 update hulu streaming quit working. I have other streaming services that still work fine. I tried it on older version of firefox 115.14.0esr (64bit) (old pc microsoft 8.1) and it works fine there. Can i go back to an older version of firefox or is this a known issue with update?

 This is the issue, Hulu website loads and allows you to log in. When you try to stream a show it plays commercial then freezes.

When I attempt to go to Walgreens.com to access my prescription account I get the following message:

What is wrong and how do I correct it?

As noted by others about recently-prior versions of Firefox, version 129 ALSO fails to play videos (on Amazon Prime) at HD even though other browsers, Chrome and Edge as examples, work perfectly well. This problem MAY have started with a fairly recent version of Firefox (like 127 or 128). See the post right here by another user, earlier Firefox version, with the EXACT same problem:

Been an issue for a while now. I try to start a YouTube video, and it spins and spins forever, maybe only loading the first 15 seconds before finally crashing the player. Twitch and other video service websites work perfectly fine. Tried a different browser, again worked perfectly fine. I erased all cookies, relogged in and tried, and it seemed to work for a little while, but then it eventually went right back to the way it was. Tried repeating the process, just deleting all YouTube cookies every time I wanted to watch something, and while it worked occasionally it was very inconsistent and obviously very annoying to have to do. Tried disabling ad and malware blockers, as well as all my other extensions, no dice. Needless to say, I'm stumped. Any clues..?
