I am trying to move TBird from a Windows PC to a new Windows 11 PC. When I download and install TBird in the new PC, and look in the Profies folder,everything is stored under a sub-folder with a name like 3umcbvht.default-esr

Is this right or amI doing something wrong please?

I'm no longer able to signon to Thunderbird on my laptop. I can signon to gmail.com server to view email. 2 iPads and 2 iPhones also provide email. Just can't get Thunderbird signon to work on my laptop. I suspect this somehow involves Google. When I try to get msgs in Thunderbird, a panel pops up "Enter credentials for Google". Message indicates Signin to continue to Mozilla Thunderbird email. Then asks for a password. What password? Google or Thunderbird? Neither works. Not sure what to try next. Any help would be appreciated.

I gathered all my mailboxes under Thunderbird and saved my passwords. All of them work except my Outlook email addresses (live) because I have to re-enter the password several times (inaccessible server message). Can you help me

When I did the last update for Thunderbird, it kept asking for me to sign in to my Google account, but rejected my password. Contacted Google and they said I'm already signed in???

TB 128 - pop up notification is in dark theme (white and grey text on black background) even though selected TB theme is light and appeared as light in TB 115. Is there a way to fix it - or is it a bug?

For some silly reason when I changed my email password Thunderbird cannot connect to server either setup password or user incorrect. I am so sad because I love Thunderbird. I have tried everything I can think of. I chatted with Optimum and they said I needed to contact you. When I try to ping my server it just times out. My servers are pop.suddenlink.net and smtp.suddenlink.net. what could be wrong?

I have looks at the forum. I noticed that my problem is very common. Have this issue of not saving to sent folder been solved? Please do so in the next update PLEASE.

Would it be possible to reduce the size of files generated? Perhaps by splitting them into smaller files.

As a home user with a not very fast upload (~10Mb/s) it takes a very long time to transfer files to my cloud backup provider.

Flags appear during use of Thunderbird, and not with any other software. Sometimes they freeze Thunderbird. 1. " Sending of Password for user ricclark did not succeed" 2. "Login to server pop3.telkomsa.net with username ricclark failed"

It is sporadic and most time when deleted (top-right cross) allows one to continue.

Browsing I have tried various suggestions without success. I am on Win 10.

I was sorry to see that the 128 Nebula release did not fix the longstanding problem that Thunderbird is very slow to load in Sonoma, and has been since the Sonoma release. This is with 128.0.1esr (64-bit) on an Apple M1 Mac Mini with Sonoma 14.6. I have the same problem on a 2018 Mac Book Pro running Sonoma with an Intel chip. The problem is NOT manifest on a 2013 Mac Book Pro running the last release of Big Sur. In all 3 cases the same email accounts are loaded, so it is some interaction with the OS. (I previously reported this for Tbird 115 under Sonoma, with no resolution.)

Specifically, when I start Tbird 128 on the Sonoma M1 the window comes up in about 2 seconds but contents are blank. The contents don't fill until about 30 seconds. This makes it painful to quickly hop into email to do something, so I am resorting to Apple Mail when in a hurry. If I do the same on my 2013 Big Sur machine, it's 2 seconds for the window to come up and 8 seconds for the content to fill. Upgrading from 115 to 128 did not change this on any of the machines.

None of the enhancements of recent releases are of sufficient value to compensate for this, so I wish the team would focus on ensuring speed on all platforms. Is there any clue what is going on?
