I use a CRM program called Nutshell for email marketing. For the past 2 years, it has worked perfectly in Firefox. As of 2 days ago, images no longer show up in the marketing emails. The same thing is happening in Firefox on both my Windows machine and my Mac. Nutshell told me to uninstall and reinstall Firefox, but that didn't help. If I use the "Refresh Firefox" command, the images show up but only briefly, then they're gone again.

I can use Chrome instead of Firefox and everything works, but I would prefer not to. Any suggestions?

Is it anything to do with my preferences - or something else. Very frustrating.

Would appreciate your comments and help to avoid in future

I have been using Thunderbird as my email client for many years, now in a W11 64-bit environment. Whenever I click on "insert image" to put an image into the message the whole thing freezes and all I can do is to invoke the task manager to force the closure of the program.

I did not have this problem in December 2023, which is the last time I wanted to insert images into an email. I can still attach an image or images without a problem. Sometimes, but not always, this is a viable alternative.

Is this a known problem? Is there a fix (easy or otherwise)? Will this problem be resolved in the next update and if so is there a date for its release?

updated from 128 to 129 and now T-Bird is broken. First it opens a second T-Bird apt instead of the original apt. Second the graphics are screwed up as the top tool bars are white with very unreadable faint buttons, so I can not pick and chose , and when replying to an email the header graphics have too much dark which covers the formatting tools and other parts of the header. There are several other problems that I have not found yet as I have only had this update less than 24 hours.

See the screen shot of my broken version 129 of T-Bird. It needs fixing and fixed quickly. How do I revert back to 128 which worked perfectly.

I’m hoping that there is someone out there that could help me with my e-mail problems.

I have been a Thunderbird user for what seems like 30 years or more, but certainly it is a long time. For the best part of this time, so at least for over 15 years, I have been having problems that no one has been able to help me with. But, I just love how Thunderbird is laid out, and honestly, I am a creature of habit! Many friends have advised I move somewhere else, but have refrained to do so.

Where to start! My initial provider was madasafish, and later ported over to Thunderbird. After a few years, a female techie. friend set up my mails to use on PlusNet, so I could receive and send on my mobile too.

This went fairly well for a while, until PlusNet were not providing a very good service for e-mails, so now it is nearly impossible to use PlusNet, as after each action such as transferring an e-mail to a folder, it goes into refresh mode, and can sit there for minutes or hours! Is it possible to sync. my e-mails with a better provider other than PlusNet, and if so, could you please help me out with this?

However, a problem that I’ve had for some time now is not only have I lost a lot of e-mails from Thunderbird (and no one has been able to help me to recover them), but I am having difficulty sending e-mail from Thunderbird. The limitation of data now allowed on Thunderbird is very limiting, so I have had to learn from my son how to save my e-mails in a separate folder on my pc at a too regular basis.

What has motivated me to write again after so many years, is that it appears that there are changes coming about by Thunderbird that have been recently advertised, and I was rather hoping that there would be some developments that could make my life easier after such a long time.

You don’t have to be a techie. to recognise that I am not, so if anyone has the knowledge and patience to help me out, I would be very grateful.

Well, some of them, like my 711 YouTube subscriptions. This started three or four days ago when I noticed nothing new in the feeds folders.

I've not disabled the feeds and all looks well in the settings. I have restarted TB, checked to make sure get new messages was active, tried this in Safe Mode and nothing has made a difference.

I created a new feed, uploaded the OPML file to it and it grabbed 10,000+ ancient files and it updates when it's supposed to. But the old setup, with filters and folders, still does not work.

I found the new folder and the old one and copied the files from there to the old directory and.... nothing.

What might have happened?

It's as if the account simply no longer exists when I click FILE/GET NEW MESSAGES FOR/ and then select the account... nothing. Nothing shows up in the error console and I don't know where else to look. But I'd really prefer not to have to rebuild this whole thing.

Two months ago I had to install Thunderbird as New and I can't access my personal Gmail account. Everytime it fails to connect to gmail servers (Error 400). Two others, also Gmail work fine and in other programs like Vivaldi Mail, Outlook, Windows Mail it works seamlessly, but for more than 20 years I was using my Favourite Thunderbird. The problem persists even after todays upgrade. I tried even with portable version and tripple-checked the password and Servers setting.

I ran out of ideas.

Can you help?

Hello, I have two Hotmail accounts on Thunderbird, one @hotmail.com and one @hotmail.es (if that makes any difference). Both working fine since switching from Windows to Linux a week ago. As of this morning, the hotmail.com address can't send emails (it can receive them no problem). The hotmail.es email can send and receive no problem, although it has the same settings.

When I try to send an email I get the error: "login to server smtp-mail.outlook.com with username ...,@hotmail.com failed. " If I click on 'enter new password', it just tries to send the email again without asking for a password, although I don't think that's the issue because I can login via the outlook.com website using that same password.

When I click cancel, I get the error: "Sending of the message failed. Unable to authenticate to outgoing server (SMTP). Please check the password and verify the authentication method in account settings/outgoing server/(SMTP)".

I've checked both POP settings and outgoing server settings and they are the same for both accounts, apart from the email address obviously (pic below). I got these settings from the Microsoft page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/pop-imap-and-smtp-settings-for-outlook-com-d088b986-291d-42b8-9564-9c414e2aa040

Microsoft support said it's a Thunderbird problem. I've tried disabling my firewall and VPN. Would appreciate any other ideas (in absolute beginner terms if possible). Many thanks for reading.
