Tell me how to get rid of the shortcuts to Amazon and Google?

Also, can anyone explain why we must humor some paranoid loony nut-job regarding our passwords?

My email was hacked and AT&T suspended my account and I can no longer access my old [email1]@att.net email. My new email is [email2]@att.net. Your system will not let me change my information since I cannot access the old email account. Do I just delete the entire account and if so will I loose all my Firefox information I have saved and get a new account?

I can not send emails to gmail & optusnet addresses they bounce back. See example below.

Hi Mozilla/Firefox, I've just started using Firefox with DuckDuckGo because I loathed, hated and despised Bing on Microsoft. So far, everything is great. But, (there's always a but, isn't there?) when I used to sign on to my internet banking or any financial website, I used to get a text from the institution to a designated phone number held on their database giving me a six-digit code that I input to confirm that i was the person logging on to the account. Sadly, this extra bit of security does not happen any more. Is there a facility on the Firefox settings that I need to switch on for this to happen again, or do I need to revert back to Microsoft for my financial websites? Many thanks for your help. Peter W. I have a problem where after restoring session in FF it makes me unable to drag and move tabs around at all. I tried to start FF in safe mode to see if it was one of the extensions causing it, but that didn't stop it. I noticed that the last time this happened not that long ago it sorted itself out after a while and i regained the ability to move tabs around again, although i still don't know how/why it got sorted out the first time. So i hope someone here could maybe help me a bit.

I am using windows 7 (with the latest update i believe) and updated FF to the latest available version.

I really enjoy Firefox's reader mode and the "listen" (text to speech) function. I get an email newsletter that doesn't have a web page (i.e. the content exists only in my inbox).

Is there a way to have Firefox use the reader mode in gmail? Or is there another app I can use?

Firefox continues to add a new tab during navigation on a website. Every selection adds a new tab rather than staying within the original tab. Trying to sign out from a website is problematic because a new tab is added which is blank and the original remains signed in. How can this be changed?

Using Outlook Calendar, any day with more than 1 event simply shows as 3 dots. You have to open that day to see the events. Not this way with Edge nor Chrome. Am I missing a setting?

when using the search box for a query - if I type the letter between the s & f on keyboar- a popup box appears for bookmarks??? I trie- to uninstall firefox / reinstall. no help. same issue

The only way I can get my email window to show is to click on it from behind the Firefox window. I never had this problem before. When I click on my email Icon, my email window should show in front of Firefox. How do I fix this? It's extremely annoying

We can't find that page... when I try to go to https://www.thaiairways.com/ When I click on the mark to the left in the addressline it promts: your connection to the site is not secure And when I click on more information and go to the securety tap there is no certificate shown

Familiar functions have disappeared (I find this disturbing) in particular being able to see address books when entering an email in order to select contacts. I have over 30 address books (the indexed Nickname field having been removed, I have been faithful to Thunderbird this long). How do I SAFELY get these functions back or something functionally equivalent?

Firefox, This website discounttire.com seems to be the only site I cannot load. I tried it another browser and it worked fine. I have also tried clearing the DNS cache, resetting my firewall and turning off all my extensions. I don't remember what else I have tried as I can't remember everything. I am also using FF 114.0.2 and the free Avast antivirus. Please let me know what I can do to try and fix this issue. It's not that big a deal as I can use another browser, it just bothers me when things don't work right and I can't figure out how to fix them. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I'm trying to send a file for upload but I once I select the file, Firefox simply crashes. I've tried running in "Troubleshooting mode". Go to my website I want to send a file on, click "browse", choose file and... crash to desktop.

Checking the about:crashes page and uploading the crash (that works...) gives the error: STATUS_CALLBACK_RETURNED_LANG

I had issues with Firefox and Mapped Networked Drives in Windows before. So, I thought... save my stuff (no issues...) then reboot windows. Rebooting seems to fix a lot of stuff after all. But not here.

I reconnected my 3 drives (to the same NAS), opened Firefox, which takes a while to show a single page, go to sendspace.com and choose a file to upload from my NAS. Crash.

I disconnect my drives (all 3 of them), try send a file and... succesfully queued for upload.

What the heck? 99.5% of my files are on my NAS!

Hi - I installed a fresh copy of Firefox. However, when I click on a desktop icon to start a program, I get an error message to "Enable Javascript". I checked the registry, and sure enough, "Enable Javascript" is set to "True". I disabled some extensions that I thought might be causing the problem, but that didn't fix the problem. Anyone out there who had this problem, and fixed it, kindly share your solution with me. Thank you, Nick M.

So, I've seen many apps that looked like they'd be helpful one way or another. (The latest was Malware Browser Guard.) When I click to install them, I'm warned that I'll be allowing the app to read what I enter, change things, etc. When I read more it sounds more reasonable -- it sounds like that at each step I'll be asked if I give permission for the app to read or edit -- the implication being read this specific page or edit this particular entry.

So by downloading these apps am I giving blanket authority to them to monitor my every click and keystroke or am I only telling the browser that I might want them to be able to do these things, but I need to be informed first when they are actively seeking to do something so I can decide whether to allow it at that point?

I don't suppose I have any guarantee that any software I use isn't collecting my userids, passwords, sites I visit, email I write, etc. -- but when I'm specifically warned I am authorizing a program to read what I enter, etc. it gives me pause. It's one thing to not know, another to say, no problem, have at it.

I'd like to take advantage of what some of these apps purport to provide. I'm hoping for some reassurance about downloading ones from presumably reputable companies.
