I periodically can not send emails, the message displayed is: An error occurred while sending mail: outgoing SMTP Too many concurrent SMTP connections

I see lots of posts about emails disappearing but none exactly fit my situation.

I find messages disappearing especially when I move them to another folder. My config is TB115.10.1 Been using TB for countless years as an excellent app. After update 115 it has turned into a real mess for me. Always been POP accounts. Gmail is the server. All mail left on the server unless I delete it. I create a new POP account every year to keep track of emails by year. Have lots of folders to place the inbox messages.

For about a week now, when I mark as read and move a message to a folder. Say Paid" or "Cars", the message is no longer visible or selectable. I have read/unread/folder size turned on under my Inbox. So I know the missing messages are there in the folder but I cannot see them or select them. Some of the folders contents have completely disappeared. This a disaster for me. Has just started happening but was working fine before this TB update. Never happened before.

I will appreciate someones kind help.

I'm trying to remove Firefox from a laptop. When I start the uninstall process it reaches the progress bar that says Unisntalling Firefox... and hangs there. 30 minutes and no discernable change.

All the buttons on the dialog are disabled and the only way to get out of it is to restart the computer.

After escaping from the blank screen it says it could not access server. But my credentials are copied from my gmail login that works fine. And I have checked the configuration with other gmail accounts that are running in Thunderbird and they are the same. So why am I getting a blank screen? How do I get my google permissions authorization form to show up?

This procedure now fails to work for a gmail account that I have put into Thunderbird successfully in the past.

I went to a lot of trouble to get all my email accounts into Thunderbird. I really don't want it to fail me now.

When I am supposed to get a google sign-in from Thunderbird, all I get is a blank white window on my computer. I another computer it works. I have tried a lot of settings and cleared a lot of passwords and cookies. Nothing I have found after hours of trying has helped.

I hope there is something easy I have overlooked.

Whenever I try to login my fresh browser, Firefox says "Account Disconnected" as soon as I sign in and sync begins. I have tried refreshing Firefox, clearing cache etc, deleting Mozilla folders from local and roaming, but issue is still the same. Email hidden for privacy reasons

downloading only allows .part files to appear, from Google Photos. In spite of the error message, the source file is intact and can be viewed from my Android device ( source )

bold textdownloading only produces " .part " files in my downloads directory. I had previously attempted a large file download but error message said it was not completed. Now cannot download anything

I wanted to disable the prefetching/preloaad pages and I found some entries on about:config that I had to change. Some of those are here on the official support site and some not, I found them on another forum.

Here's the list: network.prefetch-next (false)

network.dns.disablePrefetch (false)

network.dns.disablePrefetch.FromHTTPS (false)

network.http.speculative-parallel-limit (0)

browser.urlbar.speculativeConnect.enabled (false)

So, my questions are: 1. All these expect one "browser.urlbar.speculativeConnect.enabled" are available on android (nightly). Is there and i can't find it or it's indeed not available ??

2. Is the "network.http.speculative-parallel-limit" works only for http or it works and for https as well ?? Is there some setting to geti it to work for https if it doesn't ??

3. Is true that the "network.dns.disablePrefetch" and/or "network.dns.disablePrefetch.FromHTTPS" doesn't work (if i disable it) if i have turned on the dns over https ??

4. Are there other settings that I need to configurate or I'm good with these ??

since upgrading to nebula TB is very slow to open messages and also very slow to delet messages -unless this can be fixed I'd like to go back to the previous version which I think is 115 - anyone know how to do this proerly without ruining things

Weird Data Corruption. Subject in Preview mismatches with Actual Content of the Message.

The mismatch was not due to cache or refresh because it persisted through Thunderbird restarts and also moving the message across folders.

Thunderbird Version Number: 128.1.0esr (64-bit) (on Linux Mint Wilma)

I have two o365 accounts from different companies. One of them works fine the other I get "user authenticated but not connected" I turned off ipv6 globally and specifically for outlook.office.com and tried relogging even revoked the app and allowed it again. Sending emails somehow works but it keeps loading even after the email is received. I'm on Linux tried both native and flatpak app. These account also work just fine through davmail. The irony is that the account which doesn't work recommends Linux users to use thunderbird that's what promoted me to switch to it instead of davmail.

When I originally set up a POP account in Thunderbird for Mac some years ago, my address was at interchange.ubc.ca, then the POP server migrated to mail.ubc.ca

In Account Settings, my e-mail address, POP server name, and Copies and Folders names all reference mail.ubc.ca (as they should).

But in my ~/Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/<profileName>/Mail folder, the POP folder is still named pop.interchange.ubc.ca.

(N.B. <profileName> is a placeholder for my actual profile name, not displayed here for security reasons)

I have many filters set up to move messages to specific folders at the same level as my Inbox in my mail.ubc.ca POP mailbox, but whenever I restart Thunderbird and run a filter, I get the error, "The folder 'folderName' could not be found, so filter(s) associated with this folder will be disabled. Verify that the folder exists, and that filters point to a valid destination folder." (N.B. <folderName> is a placeholder here, for example it might be "Trash")

I can then select the destination folder in the "Choose folder ..." dropdown menu and run the filter, but whenever I restart Tbird, I get the same error all over again.

In the msgFilterRules.dat file for this account, I see lines like these: "actionValue="mailbox://<username>@pop.interchange.ubc.ca/<folderName>", e.g. actionValue="mailbox://<username>@pop.interchange.ubc.ca/Junk"

[N.B. <username> is a placeholder for my actual username

I'm wondering if this is due to a mismatch between the POP server name and the name of the POP mailbox folder in the Finder. Is it safe to change the name of the latter to "pop.mail.ubc.ca", and should this fix the problem? Will this automatically update the server name in the msgFilterRules.dat file, or do I have to edit it to replace all references to "pop.interchange.ubc.ca" with "pop.mail.ubc.ca".

If it is not safe to do this, or it is unlikely to fix the problem, any advice as to what to try instead would be greatly appreciated!

When I'm watching a show, sometimes I get uncomfortable during certain parts and will click the "skip" button a couple times until the scene is over. However, sometimes If I do this too many times the audio will completely stop (but the video continues playing). I will need to refresh the page for it to fix.

I've tried running firefox in troubleshooting mode but the issue seemed to still be there. Doesnt happen on any other browsers either.

I've been trying to watch live sports events on SECN+ through my Hulu subscription, but I'm encountering an error message stating, "The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported." I discovered that Firefox is blocking the stream, while it works perfectly on Chrome. With the college football season and other sports events approaching, I’m concerned that if this issue persists, I may have to stop using Firefox, which I've relied on for over two decades. Please help me fix this issue at your earliest convenience. Thanks.

Is there a way to set/change the organizer of an event in Calendar?

I'd like to create an event but set someone else in my address book as the organizer to whom all event replies will be sent. This is useful, for example, when my account is limited to ME@localhost and my Mail Transport Agent does address conversions.

I deleted a work account (hosted on google) and I keep getting pop-ups from Oauth to authenticate it. Looking at the troubleshooting information while it is not in the mail and news accounts list it does show up as an account.

Also, looking at the profile directories I seem to also see possible accounts that were deleted a long time ago but still straggling around.

How can I resolve this?

I use Mozilla on two things, my laptop and my android cell phone. The syncing on my cell phone appears to work perfectly well. However, when I am on my laptop, I am unable to view my "Tabs from Other Devices" - It will show me tabs from days ago. I've tried manually syncing on both devices but nothing happens.

The only thing that seems to work is if I log out of my Mozilla on my cell phone and log back in but then it will stop syncing again.

If something else isn't syncing, I honestly don't notice because I don't use anything else much.

All email files on this windows10 laptop appear to have become encypted (inbox and sent and all defined folders). Able to access and view them all, but when sent to printer, they remain encrypted and print encrypted code. Have tried reinstalling Thunderbird, over previous installation.Have not tried uninstalling thunderbird before reinstalling.
