On my Desktop, Firefox has an option, something like "When opening a link in a new tab, switch to that tab". I always turn it on immediately, by default it's off for some weird reason, to me it seems intuitive that you want to see this link now, just without losing the page you were on. On iOS, on my iPad, this option is missing and functions as if it's off, it never switches focus. And under certain conditions, like watching videos, the current tab is shoved all the way to the right in the tab bar, meaning that I first have to scroll the tab bar before I can manually change to the new tab. This is all counter-intuitive to how it SHOULD work. It's strange that this very useful option is present in the Windows version but not the iOS version. Or if it IS there, I haven't been able to find it despite trying everything.

On my iPad when I tap on Menu Icon > History > Trash Icon > Everything, the tabs refresh/flash and then the order of the tabs change. For example,

Old tabs: 1 2 3 4 (active tab is 2) New tabs after clearing the history: 1 3 4 2 (active tab is now 3)

Is there a way to prevent this? I’d like to keep the original order of my tabs.

So I have an issue where I am unable to reorder or detach tabs after having detached one tab. When I start Firefox I am able to reorder my tabs as much as I want, but once I detach one tab both functionalities do not work anymore.

- Firefox version 126.0 on Kubuntu 24.04 - After restarting Firefox I am able to do it again once - After rebooting I am also able to do it again once - The same issue in private window - I have refreshed Firefox through Help -> More troubleshooting information - Disabled all my add-ons - Tried it in Troubleshoot mode

I cannot seem to find a real answer online. Does somebody here have a solution for me :-)?

If I have an unloaded tab on right of the current tab and I close the current one, instead of going to the right tab, which is the unloaded one, it jumps to another tab which I'm not sure has what relation to it, it certainly is not the tab that opened it.

I removed every modified entry of "Browser.tab" in About:Config, installed "Select After Closing Tab", no result.

If you close a tab that is next to one or more unloaded tabs, firefox jumps those and opens the next one that is loaded. Is there a way to disable this so upon closing it would open the right tab, whether loaded or not. I tried "Select After Closing" add-on, didn't fix it. Disabled Auto Unloading via about:config, same result.

Since the new update, when I select an autofill a new tab opens for the settings. I have closed it many times, double checked the settings and closed it, etc. but it still opens a new one every time I use the autofill feature... please advise.

iPad OS version Firefox 126.1 (41973) iOS 17.5.1. iPad is am 8th gen When trying to read/use a website, it auto refreshes and pops back to top. I keep mine in landscape mode, and when trying to have a page open many will just refresh. I just tried the free Avast anti-track product. I ran a browser clean-up which included browser cache but NOT browser history. (they give you options on what to clear). Now I have lost the 50+ tabs I always open on startup. I have also lost all browser history older than 2 weeks. Avast can't help. Anyone know how I can recover my tabs?

Hi. Randomly, but very often, I cannot drag and drop move tabs. Other moving (p.e. "move to beginning") does work. After restart of Firefox, it works again - till it randomly does not.

In the dark theme mode, there seems to be an issue with the animation when long-pressing the Tab. However, in the light theme mode, the animation works fine

Sometimes drag functionality stops working. I can't grab a tab to move it to another position or to a new window. (Holding left click on the tab and moving the cursor does nothing). Also, re-merging the tab with another firefox window stops working. (Dragging a tab to a firefox window from another firefox window doesn't merge them. It does nothing) I can right click on the tab and select Move to move it to a new window but dragging stops working. I have to close Firefox and start it again (sometimes twice), then dragging starts working again. This happens multiple times a day. I am on Linux Mint and the version is 126.0 (64-bit). This problematic behavior has only recently began.

I use version 115.11.0esr (32-bit). I need help with the color of open tabs. How do open tabs can be all in one color and that is black or dark gray? I don't want all open tabs to be bright because it stitches me in the eye. Active tab can be any color but for all other open tabs I want them to be in the same dark color - black or dark gray. I can log into Firefox, but if I try to click on nay other websites, the URL comes up, but nothing loads. I try to refresh the page, but the refresh 'circle' is greyed out and doesn't work. Then it's as if my mouse pointer is broken; I can't click on anything. Everything works fine in EDGE and other browsers. This seems to have happened after the last Firefox update. I have cleared my cache and data, and refreshed Firefox. So far, no good.

I just opened firefox on my samsung galaxy note 8 and all of my tabs are gone. I have not seen the "restore previous sessions" option, nor are they in the "recently closed tabs" part of my history. Please help. Is there any way to restore the tabs?
