I'm trying to set my DNS settings in Firefox Nightly to a custom service. But i am having nothing but problems.

"Firefox Nightly 128.0a1 (Build #2016025199)"

I want to use one of these settings for the secured w/ECS:Malware blocking, DNSSEC Validation, ECS enabled.

My only problem is I'm not sure which format of the address options I should be inputting in the DNS settings in the about:config

Please help.

P S. Yes I know I can set a custom DNS address in the connections settings of my android device. And it works most of the time. I however want my own settings in the browser itself.

In Android 14 oneUI 6.0 i have an issue while i download, the progress of download doesn't show up, i have checked everything but only the Firefox notification of private search shows up, plus when it is downloading the file i have problems when browsing, like when i use the keyboard The keyboard automatically closes and doesn't allows me to type I don't know if i explain myself clear enough

I am writing to request assistance with an issue I am encountering on the latest version of the Firefox browser for Android. My goal is to open specified pages in the same tab using Intent from a third-party custom application. However, I have observed that different URLs open in separate tabs, contrary to my expectations.  Current Implementation:  Here is the code snippet I am currently using: java： Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW); intent.setData(uri); intent.putExtra(Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID, packageName); startActivity(intent); Expected Behavior:  I expect different URLs to open in the same tab without opening new tabs. This functionality is crucial for my application.  Issue Background:  I have researched similar issues and found that users have had comparable needs using Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID. Unfortunately, it appears that Firefox has not fully addressed this functionality. The EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID is a feature that modern browsers should ideally support to enhance user experience and maintain continuity within a single tab. Several times in the last 5 months, I received a notification on my Pixel 7 phone telling me that Firefox was, "using large amounts of data." The first time it was about 750 MB of data (in a 20-ish min period). Today, it was about 400 MB of data (also in a 20-ish minute period). Both times I was simply browsing news sites - catching up on the days news. Today, I was logged into the New York Times (I'm a subscriber) when I received the high data usage notification. I'm a dinosaur who is still on a limited - 2GB - plan, so gobbling up a quarter of my data in 20-ish minutes hurts. Any ideas how to troubleshoot this one?

I attempted to upload two screenshots showing my data usage - 1 showing the overall data usage - the spike. And the other showing Firefox usage. It is unclear to me whether or not the pictures uploaded. Also, I had written this query before but I'm not sure it submitted. If it did, I apologize for the repeat.

Issue 1: Why does Mozilla heat up so fast even though my device has no problems at all, and when will it be fixed? Because I've used Edge before, and it works very well and consumes little of my device resources. Issue 2 After the last update of Mozilla version 127.0.1, the use of in private mode became more difficult to use, and with my habit of keeping tabs open in private mode for a long time, sometimes up to 3 months. And I'd like to know when Mozilla will make it better for people who like to use it privately, because I don't like to use general mode, it's like there's constant surveillance for Mozilla users, and there are also cookies, so I don't like these and use them in privacy mode all the time I surf the web.And why is it harder for me to use it in In private mode? I have a hard time adjusting the buttons. I don't like the button that comes in place of the homepage button.

I need to export passwords from Android Firefox. I know this functionality exists in the desktop version, but I do not have access to a desktop. I cannot find the same function in the Android version.

I keep running into this bug where, on the odd occasion I am trying to download a file and the download occurs slow sometimes from the server's end, I might start a download of the same file twice. Then when one finishes downloading, if I press cancel on the ongoing download, it deletes the other downloaded file from my storage. This probably happens because the files are named the exact same but cancelling a downloading file should not delete an already downloaded, different file.

I was using foxfilter extension on spin browser in android and spin uses Firefox at it's core . The extension used to work well until some point in the past and suddenly it stopped working . I reached out to foxfilter support and they told Firefox stopped supporting some extensions on Android and thus the issue . Is there anyway you could start supporting foxfilter on firefox Android or can i use an olderversion of firefox on Android to get foxfilter working . If so could you guide me how to get that version installed ?

When I go to home button or search bar to visit a new web site it opens on a new tab instead of the current tab. I'd like to have the option to open it on the current tab, and dont go back to close the older tab everytime. Perhaps I coulnt find it in settings. Thank you

I own an S23 and I'd like to know if there's a way to make the browser suggestions fit on the screen. I've added two images to help explain what's going on. The first image shows Firefox, where the suggestion doesn't fit on the screen, whereas on Brave, if the suggestion is too long, it adjusts to the space. Thanks.

After attempting to save about 100+ Tabs on a window frustratingly by hand, I would like to request a way to group Tabs, be able to save them to sessions and have "Select all" when holding a tab for options.

I hope someone or some of the devs can see this, because the lack of support is quite vexing, enough to switch to another browser for good, if it wasn't for the ad-free browsing

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to suggest a feature that I believe would enhance user experience: the option to use custom wallpapers or backgrounds in Firefox. Having the ability to personalize the browser with custom images would make it more appealing and engaging for users. Could you consider implementing this feature in a future update?

I'm wondering why FF doesn't have something built into the browser that will resize text when you zoom in. Right now, if I zoom in on text, it DOES get larger, but then it also goes outside the edges of the browser so that I have to constantly scroll left and right to read the article I did come across an add on, but come on. This is something basic that should be build into the browser:

I want my tabs like in the PC version,in a line across the top. Not hidden under a click me to see tabs.

History keeps showing in shortcuts,how to stop that?

On my Tablet, the Bookmarks have decided to split into two folders :Bookmarks and Other Bookmarks. Not what I want. Is there any way that I can get them to combine to just Bookmarks?

Hello!

For the past many months (possibly a year), the mobile to desk top view setting never stays ON as default. If I leave my email page (while in desk top view), go to another tab & come back even 2 mins later, my email's right back to the mobile view again! I've even tried to switch the setting (in the menu) back to mobile view to reset it, but it just won't reset. The desk top view icon stays turned on & won't turn off, however, the site stays in mobile view. The only way I can reset this & turn the desk top view back on, is to close out my email & reopen it, then tap the setting back on again (& just don't leave the tab)! I have searched "high n low, everywhere" for help on this issue for a long time, however, not even on the FF site, can I find ANY article what so ever about this setting! And yes I "have" cleaned out cache, uninstalled, reinstalled etc... I do believe I have sent in a few support requests in the past (don't recall where or how lol), but never get a reply. I also remember being directed to the "submit a bug report" page but, haha, yeah, I have no idea how to do that, it all looks very foreign to me lol! Is there any way for this to be fixed in an update, or even on my end? Are any others having this issue...?

I would greatly & sincerely appreciate any help if possible?! I've been using FF for "many" years & really don't wish to change!

I would like to request a feature for reading mode. If we could flip page like Kindle book, instead of page scroll, especially in reading mode, it will be great!

BTW I have chosen to use Mozilla Firefox instead of chrome because of this reading mode feature. Thank you for this great feature!
