I often like to have 2 browser windows open with multiple tabs going on each window. Recently, however I noticed that whenever I watch a video in full screen mode on one monitor then I switch focus to the second browser window to do other various activities, the video playing on the other monitor will sometimes exit out of full screen mode and continue playing in the original embedded small screen size. So far I've tried disabling all but the most essential extensions, put the theme back to the default mode, made sure my graphics card is fully updated, and even attempted a few setting changes people have recommended for fixing similar issues, but nothing seems to work.

As of right now, the only workaround would be to use the picture in a picture mode and put that to full screen, but that isn't ideal as picture in picture mode is set to be "always on top". I could also use a different browser, like Chome on my second monitor which doesn't seem to cause the video to exit full screen mode, but again, I typically prefer to use firefox for most things online.

Anyway, I'm now out of ideas on what to try to get firefox to behave in the way I want it to.

Firefox won't start after updating to version 123.0 on Ubuntu OS.

At the same time, no errors will appear, and there is also no specific crash report that would help understand the reason.

How to restore the previous version without losing profile data?

All Add-ons are disabled and Firefox still can not play SOME of the videos on twitter. All I can see is a spinning circle on the center of the frame and the video will never be played. I tried other browsers and they all works well. It seems this issue has nothing to do with my network connection.

I searched this forum and find out some thread reporting issues of not playing All videos on youtube/twitter. Replies to these thread provided some solutions ,like update ffmpeg , set media related options in about:config. I tried them all and neither of them work for me.

I've noticed lately that my Firefox keeps freezing and hanging up at random periods for no apparent reason. I have very few plugins and it even happens with them all disabled and removed. I've tried resetting Firefox to default everything yet it makes no difference.

Also I can not clear history. I've tried multiple different clear history plugins but none of them work at all. And when I try the traditional way of clearing Firefox history the window pops up and then the entire browser just freezes while 'clearing' and never gives me back control, I have to force quit and restart to regain control. And then when I relaunch the history is still not cleared!

So aside from the constant lagging and lockups it seems that any attempt to delete history whether using the inbuilt function or adding plugins messes up the whole browser.

Googling this issue it seems others are having the exact same problem with Firefox and yet any suggested solutions (reset browser) don't seem to be working for may of them.. Or me.

a few days ago, Firefox stopped playing sounds. Any sounds. not youtube, not on Facebook. Not even porn videos. nothing. i don't remember installing any new software and Chrome plays youtrube sounds just fine. I listen on headphones and when i unjack, i still can only hear Chrome's browser play sounds. It seems like its not my comp, its the browser itself and it's only happened recently. i have yet to uninstall the browser and re-install, but i think if i use the Mozilla backup program to save my bookmarks, it will save whatever setting is causing the problem as well and re-installing will get me nowhere. anyone have any clue? i'm sure it's something simple but i cant figure it out

I am encountering an issue where Firefox throws an "Uncaught out of memory" error in the console, despite my system having ample RAM available. Here are the details of the problem:

• Error Message in Console: Uncaught out of memory
• Memory Usage Observed: Using about:processes, I noticed that Firefox's maximum memory usage caps at around 7GB.
• System Specifications: The machine running Firefox has 128GB of RAM, so there should be plenty of memory available.
• Firefox Version: 126.0a1

Given the significant amount of RAM available on my machine, it seems unusual that Firefox would hit a memory limit at just 7GB. I suspect there might be a bug or a misconfiguration causing this issue.

Can you please assist in diagnosing and resolving this problem? Are there any settings or configurations I should adjust, or is this a known issue with the current version of Firefox?

I have been getting a message that says firefox has something running and cannot shut down. I went into task manager and 'shut down' firefox, but the message keeps on coming. I then thought that I would uninstall it and then reinstall, but it tells me that it cannot uninstall because it is running, -"Firefox is already running but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." When I click on ' Close Firefox' nothing happens. when I click on 'Cancel' the message disappears, but will reappear. Then in desperation, I went into program files and deleted the Fifefox folders but it wouldn't reinstall. There is obviously somewhere a file/file which is screwing me up, does anyone know what this it?

Hi, for months now, Mozilla, keeps crashing, or asking me to install new updates very frequently. Today it told me I have an old version (I do not) and that I need to create a new profile. I love your privacy policy but am about to give up your product. I have an IT dep and they were not able to help either. Best of luck fixing these bugs

I am in Europe. My Bank is in the U.S. I can no longer log on and access my account through this Mozilla Browser.

I continually receive this message:\Secure Connection Failed

Dear Sir/Madam,

I need help with Mozilla Firefox 119.0.1 (64-bit) version which is almost not working internally without Internet link. When I try to open local internal site Mozilla Firefox waits to open https://www.bootstrapcdn.com/ Internet location which is unavailable because we are using the browser in isolated network and it is waiting for this site for more than 15 minutes before it opens the local site.

This is not the way we are expecting the browser to work so the question is can we disable this requests in Mozilla Firefox that we were not aware of and that are not asked from out side?

On all sites where I need to login with my work account I get a tab crash when the browser redirects to https://login.microsoftonline.com/ac4b0eb0-811e-4ab0-acca-8a87079290dc/oauth2/v2.0/authorize?response_type=id_token&scope=user.read......

This is a recent failure (this week), that occured without any changes on my own account to Firefox developer version 121.0b2(64-bits)

I had to install google chrome to overcome this problem. Chrome has no issues with microsoft authentication.

Please solve as soon as possible, otherwise I will be switching to another browser.

As of yesterday when I was running v119.0 I was able to screen capture streaming content from Hulu/Netflix etc, this morning after upgrading to v120.0 overnight, that capability is now lost. Video and still captures are just a black screen. Please fix!

As of 21/11/2023, I can no longer use several chat services that had previously worked on Firefox, for example Santander bank and EDF. Plus, the POWR widget has stopped working on one of my favourite websites.... it used to pull in the charity's Facebook content but now all I see is the text and no imagery. Today, Firefox appeared to freeze as I was trying to sign into my Hotmail account and then crashed. Subsequent attempts to restart Firefox result in crashes. Usually immediately, sometimes after about a minute.

I have tried "refreshing" Firefox, running in troubleshooting mode, and uninstalling/reinstalling. I also performed the memory test suggested and had no errors.

There are no crash reports in the "Crash Reports" folder.

I have Windows 10 Home, Version 22H2, Build 19045.3693 (not sure if this is helpful or not)

Firefox browser is not responding. I cannot click the menu as suggested because when I do the whole page crashes. How do I fix this "firefox not responding" issue?

The problem persists across different sites I frequent, most notably dropout.tv and archive.org. videos I try to watch either don't play in the browser at all, or play without any sound, even though nothing is muted. The only site completely unaffected seems to be youtube, where everything works as usual.
