Hello, my browser on my personal laptop is now under management by my university. I suspect this is because I used this account on their computers and they've gone backwards for whatever reason. I did a little digging but I don't think this is the same problem as the other articles. I'm just hoping there's a way I can disconnect my personal account from my school's systems and such, many thanks

I used to firefox browser to read e-books but in editting as highlight any word in book you can't select it again via Cursor to copy it when you saved file.

I want to change this because we want quickly to select any word and copy it but highlight prevent us to copy words if we saved before the highlights on file.

And I wish you had supported EPUB file type to open It on browser like PDFs type.

I hop to take this seriously

I know this must be weird

and I am aware of `about:config` -> `layout.word_select.stop_at_punctuation`

here is what bugs me:

with above setting to OFF , when I double click on IP address, like `123.123.123.123` , it selects all , exactly what I want

on the other hand, sometimes I need click on domains , for example I am visiting `https://firefox.org/` , and in address bar , if I double click the domain , it selects `https://firefox.org/` but I want it only to select the `firefox` or `org` depends on where I clicked , as the punctuation OFF only applied to IP, but keep ON with all other text

is this possible ?

If you go to "view", "toolbars", "customize toolbox", you'll see a box titled "search". Problem is, it's worthless. It used to be, you could either search in there using your pre-selected search engine or click on one of the others that are displayed and search using that one. Now, it just sits there taking space. What is the purpose of this? Another thread here titled, "[[Pressing Enter in empty search bar doesn't work anymore|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1452133?page=2#answer-1669039]]", discusses how the search page no longer works either.

If using just the search bar is "a power that be's" version of efficiency, it's not.

When I as a screen reader user will try to adjust the buttons in the settings for the firefox toolbar, my screen reader is totally silent. I not can use the tab-key on my keyboard to jump from setting to setting.

Do the following: 1. Open Mozilla Firefox. 2. Press the left ALT key to open the menu bar. 3. Use the right arrow key to navigate to the "View" menu. 4. Press the down arrow key. 5. Use the down arrow key to navigate to the "Toolbars" submenu. 6. Press the right arrow key to open the "Toolbars" submenu. 7. Press the up arrow key until JAWS says "Customize Toolbar..." 8. Press Enter to open the screen where you can customize the toolbars. 9. Now, my screen reader is completely silent - nothing happens when I use the Tab key or arrow keys to navigate on the setting screen.

Is it possible for you that you can take a look on this issue?

I have tested with both the free screen reader NVDA (in the latest version on the time I write you), and the paid screen reader JAWS for Windows version 2024.

2. Another question - Is there an easy way to access the toolbars in Mozilla Firefox with screen readers (the toolbars contain buttons like reload, Firefox menu, Extensions, and more)?

When I press on the tab-key, e.g. when I stay on the address bar, my screen reader not read information about if I am on a toolbar or if I am on on the website I visit.

I have the latest version of Mozilla Firefox installed (version 129.01). My operating system is Windows 11 64-bit.

There are 32 shortcuts on my home screen - 4 rows of 8 each. However, I accidentally "dismissed" one shortcut - now there are 31 total. I cannot figure out how to restore a shortcut. Is the solution in about:config (browser.newtabpage.pinned)?

As the title of the subject entails, I am trying to disable Firefox's new translation tool, becasue I'm using a 3rd party extension.

I tried to follow the solution on the following support thread ( [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1434741#question-reply] ), but it didn't work for me, and I'm still seeing the new translate button.

Is there another way to fix this?

I'm using Firefox 129.0.1 (64bit) for MacOS.

I am developing a django website.

The login on the default admin page is not working when I am testing locally on my mobile. I assume it is because the connection is http (and not https) in order to protect the users (which is a good thing).

I assumed this is the problem, because on chrome, I got also blocked, but I got this hint.

Therefore following 2 stories:

• As a user, I wish I receive a feedback when something is blocked by the browser, so that I understand what is happening.
• As a developer, I wish I could allow login on whitelisted sites (local websites like 192.* ?), so that I can test my website on android without creating self-signed-certificates.

If my assumptions are wrong (but the server did not receive any call), do you know, how I can visualize the network calls on android?

In Australia, a lot of organisations are forcing native languages upon us. How can I block these words? I do not want to block the website....just the words in Native Languages.

I think this is a new feature that let's you add background wallpaper. I tried it out when I was signed out and it seemed to work. But after I signed in with my Firefox account it doesn't show up.

It used to be that Firefox would remember where I saved similar files (from the same webpage I assume) in the past and save them to the same directory. That doesn't work anymore and I cannot find any setting for that. Now it always suggests the most recent place I saved to.

Even if you change the setting of Firefox about:config from "true" to "false", it will automatically change from "false" to "true".

privacy.userContext.enabled 

If you change "privacy.userContext.enabled" from "true to false" and check after restarting Firefox, it will revert to "false to true." It is unclear why it reverts to the original state.

I know it may sound a bit strange, but I would like to know WHY an extension is not allowed in a private window, so I might understand the reason why I'm not able to diagnose an issue I'm having with fucking amazon who has their cart all over the place for a misconfiguration in firefox that either I did or an extension is causing, however I'm unable to figure out which because I can't enable extensions in private windows, where the issue does not happen, so I'm not able to reproduce and isolate the problem.
