Hello, I have a problem with the languages/dictionaries in Firefox (Linux) and would appreciate some help.

Currently the German language is not recognized in the spell checker or is apparently not available.

When I click on the context menu in a language field (right mouse button), only "Englisch (Vereinigte...." is displayed under "Sprachen" (which is "Languages" in the english menu).

However, the German language pack is apparently installed, because when I click on the link to add it in the context menu, the language extension for German already says "remove".

I would also be happy to provide pictures.

Incidentally, the interface in Firefox is already correctly in German.

Deleting cookies, restarting Firefox and restarting the system have unfortunately not helped.

Can anyone help me, I'm getting desperate?

It never happened on Edge or Chrome, not once. I know it might seem Karen-like fuming about it, but when you have dozens of important tabs open and they don't restore you too will become a karen. Hi, Like many other people I have Firefox setup just the way I like it - a few windows open, some windows with 10 tabs open, my most common pages open as pinned tabs, other windows with stuff I want to remain at the front of memory at least temporarily. The last 3 times I have updated Firefox, it opens without restoring my pages. I look in the History menu and both the 'recently closed windows' and 'recently closed tabs' items are greyed out. I really, really don't want to move away from FF, but this behavior is beyond frustrating. I've already checked I have 2 profiles: default and default-release (default). I tried 'Launch profile in new browser' for the other profile but it's empty. Any ideas how to figure out what the problem is? I'm on Windows 11. Thanks!

I have a problem with the import of my backup in FireFox. I made an backup with MozBackup (.pcv) with my old Computer, Now with the new one and new FireFox program I can't import it, as the import will not recognive the used format.

I have tried to solve it to convert it to .zip but then the import won't run, or quit's after about 25 to 30% import.

How can I resolve this problem, which also count's for the new Thunderbird. As I am now missing all the maps at both programs.

Hello I am running 115.12.0 Firefox ESR June 11, 2024 release 64 bit on Windows 7 Professional 64bit. Which I still have to use till I can afford a new PC in a few months.

When I have a streaming youtube music link open when I try to open another tab the Music Stops playing and Video Freezes and cant have the audio in the background continue.

I have tried several Add-on's that are suppose to fix it they do not work. Have also tried the following about:config edits

widget.windows.window_occlusion_tracking.enabled set to false and media.block-autoplay-until-in-foreground set to false Before these would fix the issue till the update to the above update now they no longer work.

Have also tried using the Troubleshoot Mode which makes no difference.

I really appreciate everything you do, but I am a boomer (Loud and Proud), I did not get born with a device attached to my hand, I am a digital imbecile.

With all that in mind, it has become too difficult to keep up with the digitalisation, at least in my case. So when you send me suggestions and update procedures I end up just closing everything, too much to read, too stressing, but the suggestions keep coming every time I open the firefox browser. Can I not just keep the version I have and decline any new versions.

I also have a problem in regard to language, it is set to English, but I do not care for US English, I would like to have GB English, but somehow it won't accept that.

What can I do?

daThis is still frustrating. I do not like to use the browser when something else appears to be in control. I have MacAFee and run a scan but nothing shows up? If developers are following my browser, I should beable to turn this off.

It started this morning (6/23/24) the page for a YouTube video will load but the video doesn't play. I have cleared the cookies and cache, shut the browser down, restarted the computer, turned off all the extensions, and have turned off hardware acceleration. Nothing has changed, I can watch other videos on Firefox and Youtube work as normal on other browsers. Last night (6/22/26) before shutting down may computer for the night I had an update for Firefox and shut the browser so it could update. The image is of what the video section is displaying.
