I'm running the latest version of Firefox (126.0) on an iMac, OS 14.4.1. Starting a couple days ago, i was no longer to (consistently) minimize Firefox browser windows by double-clicking on the browser window title bar. I'm able to minimize the window INCONSISTENTLY and only very infrequently via double-clicking, but with no obvious pattern. This problem only occurs with Firefox. I have no problem minimizing any other browser or application windows.

My Mac OS settings are always set to "Double-click a window's title bar to minimize."

I can minimize via Command-M, but i prefer to double click. I vaguely remember this occurring on another iMac of mine some years ago, but don't remember if i found a fix, or if it went away on its own.

Is there any way to block media mini players from popping up on websites entirely?

This is what I've tried, I found this in another article here.

   media.autoplay.default = 5 [0:allow;1:blockAudible;5:blockAll]
   media.autoplay.blocking_policy = 2
   media.autoplay.allow-extension-background-pages = false
   media.autoplay.block-event.enabled = true
   media.block-autoplay-until-in-foreground 

It doesn't autoplay anymore, but it still pops up in the bottom right corner of the screen. I don't mean Firefox's picture in picture, I'm talking about the floating mini player most websites use. It's thoroughly annoying, especially when you have your pop-up settings set to off.

Whenever I browse the web using Mozilla (Google, Startpage or any other browser) AND Mozilla is set to fullscreen mode I get black bars all around website screen which are not present when Mozilla is set to windowed mode.

I am using: Macbook Air M1 (MacOS Monterey 12.6.6.) and latest Mozilla web browser. I have already tried this solution: "go to about:config in the address bar and try changing the value of full-screen-api.macos-native-full-screen to true" and it did not fix the issue. I am experiencing this for a lot of time now and only on my Macbook which means a specific version of Mozilla cannot be blamed. This happens on ALL websites. Note: I did change about:config quite a lot regarding privacy alterations.

I have always been able to use the Mac setting to Double Click Title Bar to Minimize windows and it's always worked fine with Firefox. Until Sonoma, but with a stipulation.

It will not respond at all to a double click, but ONLY when I have chosen to show the title bar in Firefox. It works fine clicking in the tab plane as long as I have Show title bar turned off. This is a bit bizarre, but it appears a recent update of Firefox no longer works like that in Sonoma. Works fine on a Windows 10 machine and on a Mac running an older OS.

Note that I did do all the proper troubleshooting, reset Firefox, start in safe mode and all to no avail. When Show Title Bar is turned on, double click to minimize simply does not work.

When I click on "Bookmark current tab," the small bookmark window opens as usual. But if I then click on "save," nothing happens. The bookmark does not get saved anywhere and the window does not close. Likewise, if I click on "cancel," nothing happens and the window also stays open. Only if I click somewhere outside of the bookmark window does the bookmark get saved and the window close. This has happened only in the current and previous version of Firefox. How can I fix this?

when i fill in a form on a site (example cvs) it will not send and my saved payment information shows when i click into the field but will not stay- i must continually manually fill in my payment information

Getting application errors on some sites – but the same site works in other browsers. This has been happening over the last couple of weeks – getting application errors on some sites but not in other browsers. On the example shown I see the login page flash briefly then replaced by the error.

I have enabled my new Theme but it keeps defaulting back to my old Theme. I have tried closing Firefox and opening new tabs. Opening a new tab also changes it back to the default theme. I have sent an image of the old theme. The new theme is Aurora Australis. And the second image shows this Theme enabled. What gives? Carl

I read books using Amazon Kindle's cloud log in. After installing Firefox 126, I am no longer able to open books on my last page, I cannot turn pages or even open my notes. I tried using Kindle cloud on other browsers and everything works fine.

Any idea why my Kindle cloud functions are not working on Firefox?

Sorry to have this same issue again, knowing full well it can happen after finding this some years ago (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1319823), I tried to carefully connect two older PC devices back to firefox sync, however on one I managed to enable sync before disconnecting my profile (it seemed as if reconnecting sync temporarily was the only way to disconnect a profile from firefox's UI - I should have been more careful and removed the profile from the filesystem level): at which point I polluted the sync server.

I've noticed that `about:sync` has an option under bookmarks/engine actions 'wipe bookmarks', which sounds exactly what I need, and if I watch what happens once pressed it does the right thing and repopulates the sever with the 'correct' PC's bookmark set (when run from that PC), however it also says 'other devices will act like a reset', which i'm finding NOT to be the case: eventually one of my other device repollutes the server with bad bookmarks which propogate.

I'm thinking the culprits are my phones, If I wipe and do a sync on a phone, my phone's bookmarks stay polluted. If i'm right about that, I think my question is: can I wipe my profile (or preferably only my bookmarks) from my phones' Firefox without having to entirely uninstall/reinstall (or do you have any other advice for not re-polluting the server from some already-polluted device's bookmarks?

I am migrating to a new laptop. The new laptop keeps asking me for a primary password. I have never set one up. This issue doesn't happen on the old machine, only the new one. It also won't let me disable the pop-up that asks for the primary password. Please advise.

once every week or two, private browsing shows up in history. it is not cleared when i close all private windows. the rest of the time it works as it's supposed to. any suggestions are welcome. thank you. running 125.0.3 on mac ventura 13.6.6

I'm considering switching to Firefox for my primary browser BUT once I log in to AOL to check my mail, the print is tiny and cut off top and bottom of each letter. This is not a new problem, but I'm using Firefox more now and still have to use another browser OR another device to read my email. I am attaching a screen capture of what it looks like.

I can’t seem to open any Word files in Firefox. Doesn’t matter if it’s a new file or an old one, it just won’t open. What’s weird is that it takes me to a OneDrive page saying the file doesn’t exist or isn’t available. But when I switch to Google Chrome, everything works fine.

Hey there. To get straight to the point, whenever I am watching a YouTube video on Firefox in full screen, every so often the screen goes black then slowly fades back in. I have no idea how to fix this issues and it is not my computer that is causing it (doesn't happen on other browsers, my computer was tested for a variety of problems and nothing was wrong, etc). I have also looked through Firefox Reddit help pages and the support articles on the Firefox support website but have found nothing to help. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated! This is my Mac Monterey. My Windows 10 is in Safe Mode With Networking. The last update will not download. That version is 125.0.3. What's available under Windows updates does not download either. Now I am running my antivirus on my Windows to see if it runs clean. I do not know why I cannot apply these updates.
