Just to make sure, have you tried this :

In Chrome, type "chrome:bookmarks" in the address bar and press Enter Click on "Organize" Choose "Export bookmarks to HTML file"

In Firefox: Press Ctrl + Shift + B, which will take you to the Library. Click on "Import and Backup" Choose "Import bookmarks from HTML" Select the file you created earlier.

Of course this works, but I was talking about the default method of importing bookmarks with "Import Data from Another Browser".

Importing from HTML has some downsides because it bulk imports and does not put the bookmarks in an "Imported" folder.
