Firefox audio is very low on all websites.

Hi, all of my audio on Firefox is for some reason VERY low, but I haven't changed any settings. I've tried clearing cache, etc, but it won't help!

Firefox's Default Audio Level

If you check a page that has a volume slider, is it pre-set to a low level? For example:

http://hpr.dogphilosophy.net/test/

This could be due to the following preference:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste VOL and pause while the list is filtered

(3) If the media.default_volume preference is bolded and set to a value less than 1.0 (for example, 0.5 gives 50% volume) you can right-click > Reset the preference to restore the default value of 1.0 (100%)

Application Audio Level

Could you check the slider(s) in the Windows volume mixer? Right-click the speaker icon on the Windows Task Bar in the Notification Area (or System Tray down near the time) and choose Open Volume Mixer.

Hi, my volume string was already set to 1.0. Any other ways it could be fixed?
