In /en-US/kb/make-firefox-remember-usern.../1637, AliceWyman asks to redirect article discussion forums when the article contains REDIRECT.
I am against this idea, even if it gives a Page Not Found error from links in old notification e-mails. Few people monitor those forums and old threads are moved to the new article discussion forum.

In addition to the individual discussion threads (bug 673944) I think that the Discussion forum page itself should also redirect to the new Discussion forum when the associated article is renamed,
For example, Password manager - Remember, delete and change saved passwords in Firefox now redirects to Password manager - Remember, delete and change saved passwords in Firefox
So, https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Remembering%20passwords/discuss should also redirect to the correct discussion forum.
In addition to the individual discussion threads ([https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=673944 bug 673944]) I think that the Discussion forum page itself should also redirect to the new Discussion forum when the associated article is renamed,
For example, [[Remembering passwords]] now redirects to [[How do I make Firefox remember my usernames and passwords?]]
So, https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Remembering%20passwords/discuss should also redirect to the correct discussion forum.

I have to disagree there: Redirect articles are just articles, and their discussion forums are a logical place to, for example, discuss using the article for something else.

So you're fine with leaving the page https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Remembering%20passwords/discuss
.... even though https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Remembering%20passwords/ is now a redirect?
Alice, suppose you want to replace REDIRECT by See in https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Remembering%20passwords?redirect=no and create a discussion forum thread to describe this change, how could you do that if the forum is redirected?

So, you want to keep the discussion forum available for https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Remembering%20passwords?redirect=no just in case [[Remembering passwords]] is recycled?
OK, I suppose. Anyway, I created a new thread in that forum as a "pointer" to the new location:
