I clicked on what may have been a malicious link last night. A Firefox message popped up immediately warning of viruses, so I exited out of Firefox and then ran a full McAfee scan -- which found no viruses.

But I am now getting popup messages, purportedly from Firefox, warning me that my McAfee payment has been rejected (not true) and warning that Windows Security has located viruses. A capture of one is attached.

Note it says it's from qltuh.check-tl-ver-106-1.com.

Assuming these aren't legit, how do I remove them?

I was experiencing a time related issue when my system clock was unexpectedly lagging behind. I was trying to connect to my https proxy while noticing. I had disabled ocsp querying and hard-fail to avoid any issues. So far, nothing was out of the ordinary. What really surprised me however, was that i was getting the OCSP_FUTURE_RESPONSE error all of a sudden. It should have never attempted querying the ocsp server in the first place. why then am i getting this error message?

Now to the problem: Various pages have no favicon in Firefox when I drag them into the bookmark bar as a bookmark. However, when the page is active in the tab, a favicon is visible there.

The problem does not seem to be unique to me. Several people have tested it. It also seems to be a problem in Firefox only. In other browsers, this problem does not occur.

Hi, I'm a UK user and since this update dowloaded it is blocking the "cookie options" popup boxes on my email accounts and as a result I can not access my emails using Firefox. I have had to resort to "Google" but I would much prefer to use Firefox I am trying to see if I can make my email accounts exceptions, however it would be easier if I can just uninstall this update. There are other threads about this, but the solutions given haven't worked for me. I'm using Mullvad VPN, and whenever it's on, I cannot search for anything regardless of my search engine, and pretty much the only website that will open is Tumblr. This problem started yesterday. Whenever I try to connect to a website, I'm met with an error saying "Secure Connection Failed", each time with a different error code. Dropout.tv gives me PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR, Netflix gives me SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG, DuckDuckGo gives SSL_ERROR_RX_UNEXPECTED_APPLICATION_DATA. Downloading MP3 files or Epub books using the Overdrive libraries' website API no longer works since the Firefox 115.120esr update.

Firefox 115.12esr slow to startup takes up to 10 second to load the first time now Firefox was fine in version 112.esr. to bad Firefox forces updates, even when the update make Firefox worse. https://snipboard.io/QF0ERT.jpg of course it works faster without extensions, that does not mean anything. I would reinstall the older version but Mozilla fixed so we cannot. I do not have time to reinstall all the extension so I am left with a useless Firefox. To bad Firefox does not allow reinstall of extension automatically, a reset of Firefox would also make Firefox useless; I am at a loss to how to continue to support Mozilla and not switch to another browser?

Why is Firefox refusing to display Instagram videos?

Over the past week or so, Youtube videos take a while to start, and will at times just stop and buffer. I turned off uBlock Origin for Youtube, and I have Youtube Premium, but this issue is still happening. Ookla speed test is 569.32 Mbps download, and 23.50 Mbps upload. My Firefox is set to automatically update. Current version is 127.0.1

YouTube has been so slow in Firefox. It just takes a ton of time for the video to actually play. It's just a spinning circle in a video. I can refresh several times and then it plays. I cleared my cache, history, data...etc everything from Firefox. That seemed to help for a bit. Then it just resulted back to being slow. It's just in Firefox. I played videos in Edge. It was fine. No issues. It's just FireFox. It started most recently too. It wasn't happening a week ago. I even tried going back to an old version of Firefox. Didn't help. Anyone know how to fix? Not using ad blockers either FYI. I just want videos to play normally and fast.

I can open links in tabs and those can be foreground or background but I cannot find a way to open a link in a new private window that doesn't require the context menu. Does it not exist?
