Hi Team,

Would love to know how in task manager there are 10+ firefox services running with only 4 tabs open and the usage is ridiculous. Closing one tab the next one that was using roughly 250mb shoots to over 600mb...what are you playing at????

On startup TB pops an error box up saying ' There is no email program associated to perform this action'. When dismissed TB continues to open normally. No other errors seen during operation.

I have checked my Win 10 Control Panel Apps options. TB is the email default. MailTo, file type .eml and all other settings I can see are set to TB as well.

Ever since the Cox-Yahoo migration I am finally getting emails in TB (few glitches). but emails/changes take several minutes to appear/update on my iPhone . My iPhone only option is for Fetch and the time is 15 Minutes..so I have to open the MAIL app and it will look for new/updated messages but it takes a good 2-3 MINUTES to appear. And if I delete a message on TB sometimes it never updates..any suggestions?

In Firefox, after a reboot, how can I re open my previouse sessions?

Originally I had quite a lot of open browsers & tabs. Then I needed to do a reboot, and now I've lost those previouse sessions.

Usually I just open firefox, and this opens one browser, and then all of my previous browser, and tab reopen, but this time firefox crashed, and its popup said it needed to restart, but it would re-open my previous browser and tab, but it didnt.

After following the usuall firefox help giudes, it still wouldn't re open my previouse sessions. Now if I ask it to open my previouse sessions, it just opens the recent help giudes, and not anything before the crash.

So is there a backup file of myu missing sessions that I can roll back to?

viewing sent emails

When I select "Sent" emails to review to see what I have sent. I find that Thunderbird will not show emails with attached files. (see image) To see what I have sent with attachments I have to select attachments. (see image)

I would think that I should see ALL the emails sent when first selecting "Sent".

I then should be able to view only sent emails with attachments when I select attachments.

Are my settings off or is this a bug in the software?

Can't use Gmail account anymore have cleared cookie's and caches removed permissions and account from Google and TB uninstalled then reinstalled then add TB account worked for 2 minutes then got the same error also some emails load while others are just a blank screen all windows 10 and TB updates are current Have attached error we are receiving anything else please just ask Any help appreciated

Starting 3 days ago: Cannot SEND email - receiving works fine. Error message: An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Please ensure your email address and authenticating user match when sending messages. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.

The other odd thing is that I get asked for a password before sending which never happened before.

I followed advice given someone in 2022 - I've messed with the account settings (unfortunately) and I've changed the SMTP settings to match what Comcast recommends.

I have 3 comcast accounts; two work fine on my iPad and iPhone - one doesn't

Also I have no problem sending emails using Xfinity/Comcast Mail... but I want to use Thunderbird.

Where do I start looking?

This problem started yesterday. Whenever I try to connect to a website, I'm met with an error saying "Secure Connection Failed", each time with a different error code. Dropout.tv gives me PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR, Netflix gives me SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG, DuckDuckGo gives SSL_ERROR_RX_UNEXPECTED_APPLICATION_DATA. This doesn't happen with any website owned by Google, such as YouTube, Google Docs, etc. I don’t know if there are any others that it manages to connect to, but those are the observations I've made. What can I do?

Thunderbird suddenly stopped working today,, can not receive emails or send emails. I can log directly into web client and emails are sitting there have confirmed settings with my hosting company and everything is working their end they have also confirmed the settings are correct in Thunderbird

It has been one year, and you still have not fixed the multiselect functionality that was ruined with your Supernova "update" (which is worse in almost all aspects btw). Can you at least tell us WHEN you plan to release the fix since you locked the comments to block the countless negative ones? Is it so hard for your UX team to understand that removing multiselect functionality is like removing Ctrl+C, and Ctrl+V and set the correct priority???

So I've had Thunderbird for a few years. I've always had my (multiple) email accounts set to both check for new messages at startup, and check for new messages every 2 minutes (I keep it open in the background so I can be alerted ASAP). However since the last 2 updates, I can no longer fetch messages either every x minutes, or manually (Get Messages does nothing), and the only way to get new messages is closing and restarting TB completely, defeating the point of having it open in the background.

I've tried: 1) unchecking both 'Check for new messages at startup' and 'Check for new messages every x minutes' = still can't manually pull in mail with Get Messages (the status bar says it's checking, but nothing gets pulled in unless I restart TB)

2) leaving ONLY 'Check for new messages at startup' OR 'Check for new messages every x minutes' selected = nope

3) starting and restarting both TB and my PC = nope

4) checking my antivirus isn't blocking anything = it isn't

5) checking all my email account server settings/passwords are correct = they are

6) testing out Betterbird with the same accounts and seeing if it's still an issue = this also affects Betterbird

7) checking my email accounts are working in other software like Outlook/webmail = they're fine, I can get email there normally

Any ideas as to how to fix this?

I set up a new Windows 11 PC (64-bit) about 2 months ago, and installed Thunderbird Supernova. I allowed MTS to choose all the settings and everything was working fine until about 3 weeks ago I am now running version 115.11.1 (64-bit). I noticed that many messages I recieve at scheduled times every day were not appearing in my MTS message list until sevveral hours (a few actually took 3 days) after their normal delivery times. Checking with the senders revealed no change to the time they were sent. Looking at the messages when they appeared showed that they WERE received on time. Logging into the web interfaces for Gmail and Comcast/XFINITY email revealed that the messages were arriving on time. The only logical conclusion is that MTS has a problem in its IMAP protocol implementation that does not recognize new/unread messages as such, and therefore does not retrieve them. I am legally blind, and up to this point, mTS is the only fully accessible, easy-to-keyboard-navigate email program.

When I launched Thunderbird this morning the right-hand-side panel is completely blank. The left hand side panel shows my folders and if there are any unread emails in them but the right hand side is just completely blank (as per attached image).
