I have the same question as the OP in this post from a few years ago: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1265898#answer-1241526].
I am currently finding that the address bar history search using caret "^", does not always list all the webpages that I have visited, especially if I found the page using the search bar within the site. Is there a way to enable Form and Search History in the most recent versions of Firefox as described in the previous post?

I'd love to find a solution! Sometimes this happens when opening a link from my email (to a well-known retailer as shown in the images below), and at other times it is in response to a website requesting information as part of a 2-factor ID request or, or even a password change. It has become almost almost debilitating! What setting seems to be wrong here.
I use Webroot SecureAnywhere and the relevant updates are applied automatically.

I find that playback of media stutters, and is choppy--not sure of a better way to explain it. E.g., YouTube videos and the Bandcamp player have "stuttered sound". Opening another site in another tab can make this effect worse. Likewise, trying to run Google Meet in a browser window causes basically everything on the computer to become very slow.
This still happens even if I go to "about:profiles" and then "restart with add-ons disabled".
But if I switch to another browser, Safari or Chrome, then I don't have the issue. e.g. I can play YouTube in the background fine even when running some compute intensive task.
I have also tried turning on/off "performance settings" and the "use hardware acceleration" checkbox underneath it -- neither of those seem to have any effect.
Activity Monitor showed that at most Firefox was using ~4 GB of memory of a total 48 GB, and the memory pressure indicator seems to be quite low.
I have run Firefox on other systems (e.g. System76, older Macbook Pro) with multiple windows open each having 20-30 tabs and never had an issue like this.
It really seems like it has something to do with how Firefox is interacting with the M3? Happy to learn I'm wrong. And happy to provide more details about the hardware or my settings if it would help.
Firefox is very slow, when I go to Daily Mail it chokes Firefox to death and locks up, why?

I have Windows 11, Firefox yahoo email. I must have clicked somewhere that consolidated all my email to the left in a narrow format. Can't locate where to correct it. Also had no luck attaching a screen shot. Next to the condensed email, is another column that is blank except for the white envelope. Is there a place where I can change the format? Thank you.

I want to change "browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once" preference to true. So I do it in about:config page and if I reaccess this page in another tab within the session, then my value is being kept.
However, when I restart Firefox (thru "Exit" in "File" menu), all previous pages get restored and that preference is "false" again in the config after a new browser start.
I also made a user.js file with the following content: // user_pref("browser.startup.couldRestoreSession.count", 0); user_pref("browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once",true);
Nothing helps.
Please let me know how I can modify the config file.
Thank you!

I can't stay on this site for very long at all, and do my best to write out what I need as quickly as possible then leave. I would never contribute to answering any questions other then my own because how bright it is will eventually cause me pain.
In my view, it represents an amateurish view on website design and likely has an impact of skewing the regular user base to people that don't mind it.
Sincerely,
A user who only subjects themselves to this painfully, pointlessly white website if they absolutely have to.

I can edit my short cuts. One I have added the Name, and the URl, I also have the option to add a custom picture to the square icon for the shortcut. It seems obvious to want, as I do, to "drag and drop" a photo of my choice from my personal collection. For example, when there are multiple shortcuts for the email of each person in the family, their individual photo is a great identifier. As things are now it seems I can only add another URL. I tried to add the URL from a family members Facebook page but it would not accept the link. Can some techno whizzz out there not make "drag and drop" an option? It would be REALLY useful for us all to have the photo of our choice, either a family person where appropriate, or a pet or whatever, or a friend. Thanks. Drag and DRop seems such such a common process now I cant think it would be difficult. Well....I wouldn't know where to start of course, but thats why this is a Help forum! I look forward to you coming up with something! Thanks. Have a great day.

This issue doesn't happen in Chrome. When I stream video in Facebook Workplace, the video stops frequently and becomes poor quality at times. I have recommended performance settings enabled, using hardware acceleration.

So how do I keep Firefox from opening pop-up for about:config? That's right, There are pop ups that firefox allow to open new tabs, and its the about:config page.
Also, every time I start typing out google in the address bar auto suggest fills in googleleadservices or something like that. I already went through all the same steps above and more. I originally thought it was just opening one of the last pages I went to, but if I've "cleared" everything as per the way firefox has it set up, why would it have any history of what the last page was?
