Hi All,

I'm using Firefox on 24 PC's in a primary school computer Lab, I have had reports of students installing extensions and plugins that i wish to stop, also i've had issues with students not signing out of their email and other students gaining access.

Im looking for solutions for the following and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction -

1. Disabling the installations of extensions and plugins. 2. Clearing browsing history/logging out of any accounts. 3. Locking settings so students can't change settings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Adam

When you navigate to a web site which is slow to respond the address bar keeps showing the previous address until the web page loads or a network error occurs. It may take minutes. It happens for instance when clicking a a web search result or when the site itself redirects to another web page.

This Firefox behavior is there for years and I even remember that Internet Explorer had the same behavior during its era.

Is there any particular reason to do that? Because I only see downsides: for instance, you can't copy the URL to check in another program or device.

Somebody might argue that it's because you can press Esc during load and stay on the previous page. I think it would be more convenient to revert the address bar value when this happens.

Westpac keep telling me it is the fault of my browser. While I was trying safe mode, deleting the cookies and cache etc. I came across this bit of odd information -

https://assets-prod.sumo.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net/media/uploads/images/2024-08-08-01-10-24-eb9193.png

Westpac have been telling me for two months that it is Firefox's fault, but I don't see how, given that it has always worked before. Finding this data makes me think the problem is Westpac's fault but they just keep saying the same old thing - use another browser. Well I don't want to! I have visual difficulties and my Firefox is heavily customised to account for that.

What is actually happening is that when I enter my information on the log In Page: https://banking.westpac.com.au/wbc/banking/handler?TAM_OP=login&logout=false then click on the sign in button the screne goes white like it is going to log in and then the sign in page comes back up without the information I had entered.

Is there any thing you can do to help me?

Yours Sincerely, Ms Jacq Felis.

Dear FireFox,

Christian greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I wrote you last night requesting assistance. My FireFox does not display images off-Line.

Today I received the following pop up Message:

"Some pictures have been blocked to help present the sender from identifying your computer. Open this item to view the pictures".

Done that and it makes no difference. I am a Christian Minister with nothing to hide. Our Church computer contains the material listen on our Church Website.

This a recent difficulty. Please assist.

Please visit www.http://biblebelievers.au/nl1297.htm or any of almost 2,000 other teaching sermons, Newsletters, ebooks or other files with images. They ALL display with FireFox on-line but NOT off-line, however thew will display off-line on Edge and Google Chrome.

Today I received a pop-up notice stating:

"Some pictures have been blocked to help prevent the sender from identifying your computer. Open this item to view the pictures."

It STILL blocks the images. I, ME, and MYSELF need to view the images as I write and code the pages.

There is NOTHING wrong with the images, it id FireFox that is causing the problem on non-display off-line. I have the latest FireFox, It has ALWAYS displayed images off-line because ALL of the images are on the Church Website. And yes, I use WIN 10 O/S. AND Microsoft Defender Software visits the Church computer every day-or-so.

May God bless you for assisting me.

Yours sincerely in the love and service of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I have a server that runs my minecraft server, and if the console of that is open and needs to generate a bunch of text for the logs in my browser, it ends up freezing my browser for sometimes a few moments and sometimes 30 seconds or more. It stops be from being able to interact with firefox at all.

Is especially weird because nothing on my computer is being maxed out, my Ryzen 5 5600G isnt above 15% usage, my ram of 48GB is only sitting at around 20Gb usage, and my Radeon RX 7600XT GPU with 16GB of VRAM isnt anywhere near even 50% usage. I have Use recommended performance settings turned on in firefoxs settings.

This install of windows is also only about one month old

I cannot fathom what could be causing such a severe and drastic drop in performance and useablility

Hi everyone,

I recently updated Firefox to the latest version, and ever since, it crashes immediately on startup. I haven’t installed any new extensions or made any significant changes to my system. I’ve tried restarting my computer and reinstalling Firefox, but the issue persists.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Are there any known solutions to fix this crash issue? I really rely on Firefox for my daily browsing, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

I've always used Firefox without signing up on it and I've had no issues, but now that I have signed up my history never saves. Every time I close Firefox the history completely resets (It's only the history, all other data gets saved). There was 1 time in the beginning where my history suddenly restored itself, but I wasn't able to replicate that since.
