My bookmarks are lost since updating to the latest version of Firefox, and I could not find multiple profiles, nor did restoring to previous bookmarks folder pull up anything.

When prompted yesterday morning, Aug 25, I updated Firefox to the latest version. Afterwards, I could not find my bookmarks, which were working perfectly fine just the day before. I went to the Help screen and followed much the advice that seemed relevant. I could not locate a profile other than "default", and restoring the bookmarks of Aug 24 pulled up nothing. I don't know what to do at this point.
