It just does'nt work properly.it does'nt connect first time to web sites that I have been using forever, when you try to open Firefox again,it says--firefox is in use please close firefox and start again, but you cant close firefox,so you have to restart the computer. I have been using firefox since you began and this the worst I have ever seen it. I have uninstalled 6 and done a clean install of 5 which is working perfectly! Hope you can sort this. My operating program is Windows & Pro,64 bit. Regards Dave Clancy.

Yeh I have never had any major issues with FF, but after installing 6.0 I get 5 second lock ups once every hour it seems.

All my extensions are shown as supported besides Java, which may be the culprit, but I'm not sure.

Hope you guys patch this soon.

Running Firefox 6.0 on MBP Mac OSX 10.6.8. Always have run Firefox, never had major problems. But 6.0 locks up all the time, when I try to click on anything. In the Force Close Apps window, it switches back and forth between working and "not responding." Am now using Safari, but resizing images in Blogger doesn't work in Safari, so I really need Firefox. Please send a fix!

6.0 is pure garbage. EVERYBODY I know is having the same issues. I finally downloaded Chrome and it's been smooth browsing ever since. Nice to be on the internet with a browser that actually works.

I have been using Mozilla Firefox since the very beginning of firefox,it seems a downright shame that Mozilla has made no attempt to fix this problem. No one from Mozzilla has contacted me or anyone I know in the IT field. I am in the IT business,(have been since1972) I have recommend to,and installed Firefox for,100's if not 1000's of customers, but this version 6 is disastrous and I no longer use or recommend its use. A REAL SHAME,IT WAS A GREAT PRODUCT. Dave Clancy

I have the same problem and am running V6.0 on Win Prof 64bit. I found if I uninstalled Hotshield toolbar addin, the problem stopped temporarily and everything else worked. But after I shut down Firefox for a while and start it up again, the Hotshield toolbar addin is back in there. That might be because one of my backup sync programs is reinstalling the original extentions.ini file. So maybe if you don't have Hotshield installed, some other toolbar or addin is causing the problem. I know the extension programmers are working to get their various extension updated so hang in there. 8-)

I have this problem too. I noticed you are rebooting everytime. you do not have to reboot. you can open task manager go to the processes tab, right click on firefox.exe *32 and select end process. when that closes you can restart firefox and it will work fine until the next freeze up.
