Firefox is not ment to protect you from scams, it is 'use at your own risk'. Firefox is built to let you access the internet uncensored, and it did it's job. If you were to do this in any other browser it would have done the same thing, let you access it.

Now to get rid of those emails I would contact the company that hosts your email

I will have to change my email address. Foxfire was the pop up and they should have jumped on this scam immediately as it included their name. If they don't care enough to keep that kind of scam out then I don't want to deal with them.

"edit to remove incorrect info about reporting fraud using the Mozilla Firefox name or logos"

Many email systems have a way to mark messages always spam. If there is some noticeable similarity such coming from the same sender or using the same subject you may be able to set up some filters so you no longer see the messages in your email.

From your other post this site did not use any of the Firefox logos or names. So the fraud report site is not the correct place to seek help.

According to http://www.premiumproductsonline.com/info.htm the company is registered at 13762 W. SR. 84 • Suite 612 • Davie, FL 33325

I would contact your local consumer affairs bureau and the Florida. The state attorney general in your state and in Florida. Contacting the Better Business bureau may also be helpful.

"Foxfire was the pop up ..."

That should have been a tip-off that it wasn't legitimate. Firefox is the name of the Mozilla web browser. Foxfire is a bio-luminescent fungus.

Arch99, I'm sorry that a web site displayed a misleading advertisement while you were using the Firefox web browser. If you'd like to uninstall the browser, see Uninstall Firefox from your computer for instructions.
