Can't use my Trackpoint (Thinkpad SL300) to scroll in FF4 RC
Hi all,
today I updated to FF 4 RC 4. I'm not able to use my Trackpoint of my Lenovo Thinkpad SL300 to scroll the sites. That's very annoying! Anybody got a idea?
EDIT: THe Trackpoint is working perfect with the rest of my programs and was working with FF 3.6.
Best Regards, Katsche

It's a problem of trackpoint. You can add the following lines to tp4table.dat in the section of pass 0 rules in C:\Windows\System32\
; Firefox *,*,firefox.exe,*,*,MozillaWindowClass,WheelVkey,0,9
Thanks.
Actualle I was the one figuring out a simular fix (see Comment 83 here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=605357). Since I have a Alps Trackpoint the file can be found at C:\Program Files\Apoint2K
Do you know anything about the values of this setting? I tried the following values (added at the pass 1 rules) and it is working, too.
- Firefox
- ,*,firefox.exe,*,*,*,WheelStd,1,9
Thank you xcycl & Katsche!
I also got the SL300 with the ALPS Trackpoint and combining your tweaks helped me solve this annoying problem.
In the file: C:\Program Files\Apoint2K\tp4table.dat
I added the below lines under 'pass 0 rules' at the top of the file:
- Firefox
*,*,firefox.exe,*,*,MozillaWindowClass,WheelVkey,0,9
The scrolling immediately started working again i.e. no restart of anything needed!
System: SL300 w. ALPS ThinkPad UltraNav, Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, Firefox 4.0 (final)
