How to alphabetize my bookmark address without moving them one-by-one. Is there an automatic setting that allows me to organize them?
I have an Apple IMac version 10.5.8, with Firefox 3.6 as an Icon. All of my internet addresses are saved in Bookmark bar not Bookmark menu. I would like to arrange all of my addresses in alphabetical order so that when I retrieve an address I do not have to stroll up and down until I find it. Is there a version of Firefox that I need to download and replace the out-of-date version that would allow me to automatically arrange my addresses and not have to drag them one-by-one? Please help!!
Thank you in advance for your help, Virginia

This link shows how to do this - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Sorting_and_rearranging_bookmarks_-_Firefox
There are some bookmark addons available, I do not know, but some may offer that sort of feature.
Meanwhile that sort of task can be done fairly quickly manually using firefox's library view of bookmarks; with its built in sort feature. Groups of folders or groups of bookmarks may be copied and pasted or dragged and dropped etc.
If a folder full of bookmarks is in an unsorted order you may use the sort options to sort the display; if you choose to copy and paste the bookmarks whilst they are displaying as sorted in alpha order, that is the order they remain in as you paste them into the new location.
There are however limitations on the size of such actions that can be completed without Firefox hanging, especially if the bookmarks are in deeply nested folders you may need to reduce the size of the chunks you try to move at any one time.
If you are making changes I recommend making manual backups of your bookmarks in advance of the changes
