Firefox freezes on zoom and then closes on Motorola DROID.Are there any fixes or advice to cure this. Also is the sync feature supposed to bring your bookmarks from your PC to your mobile device? If so, how is this accomplished?
I know I said it freezes on zoom but after messing with it a little bit it freezes all the time on my phone. I also want to try to set google as the home page but haven't been able to find the option for this like you can on a PC. I don't see that I have any plugins or add ons installed on my phone yet other than the ones that were provided with the download and install. No bookmarks are showing up on my phone after syncing. I was under the impression that Firefox would move the bookmarks to my phone after the sync. Is this a misconception on my part? It will show the tabs from the PC but not the bookmarks. I know this is a beta version and I'm not a computer whiz by any means but I find this frustrating. Thanks for your help.

There seems to be a bug in Firefox 4 beta 1 that causes frequent freezes on Motorola Droid. See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=602252 for details. We're working on fixing this.
The bookmarks may take a long while to sync. You can find them in the "Bookmarks" section under "Desktop Bookmarks" when you tap on the address bar (or press your phone's Search key).
Thanks Matt for the response. I will look for the fix in future posts. As far as the bookmarks, they still don't show up on my phone. I went through the steps you outlined in your response but didn't see them. I tried another sync and the phone says update in progress. I also click the sync icon on my PC and it spins a couple times and then stops. When I put the my cursor over the sync icon it shows the correct time for the sync but there's no change that I can see on the phone. Also, as far as the address bar, is there a button that I should be able to see to go to a web page when I type in an address? I can put the address in but there is no button to push to get me to the page. All I can do is push the search button and then pick from the results. I'm using the swype keyboard but in the default browser and in the dolphin browser there is a GO button that I can push. This also seems to be the same for the home button as in there doesn't seem to be one that I'm seeing. I would also like to set a default page and can't seem to figure that out. Am I missing something? Maybe I should uninstall and reinstall the application.
You can press the "return" key on the keyboard to load a web page after entering its address.
(In a future version, we will change this key to say "go" like it does in other Android browsers.)
