We'll show you how to automatically open any page you want when you launch Firefox.

What is a home page

The home page is the web page that will be displayed when a new Firefox window is opened or each time the home button on the Firefox browser is pressed.

Note: If a third party extension or application designed to override your home page is installed and active on your computer, your selected home page will not be displayed.
The extension or application will need to be uninstalled or deactivated in order for your home page to be displayed.

Set or change your home page

  1. Open the web page you want to set as your home page.
  2. Click the icon to the left of the web address, drag it to the Home button, and release.

  3. Click Yes to set this as your home page.

  2. Drag and drop that tab onto the Home button.
  3. Click Yes to set this as your home page.

Tip: More home page settings are available in the Settings window.

Restore the default home page

If you want to delete your home page customizations, this is the way to do it.

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and then select Preferences or Settings, depending on your macOS version.Click the menu button Fx89menuButton and select Settings.
  2. Select the General panel.
  3. In the Startup box, click Restore to Default.

  4. Close the Settings page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
