So my Question is is there any way to prevent Firefox to change the Profile after Updating. Because i work in IT thats why the Security is a Problem so i cant just leave an older Version on every System. The Problem is the Customer dont want to change it everytime.

I would really appreciate it if someone has an Solution. 😊

In the older Firefox version (92), I could instantly open JNPL files by selecting "Open with Default Use JAVA (TM)". However, in the latest Firefox version 127, while the option is still available, it doesn't instantly open JNPL files. Every time I have to click to open the JNPL file.

Hello. I got a new pc and I am trying to sync my Mozilla account right now but I am not getting a the code to my email so I can not login to the account. The mail in question is *@cock.li that I have all my old data on.

Most tabs that I open now crash. This has been a steadily building problem that now has made the system basically unusable. I did try clearing history, cookies, etc., but that did not help. Even working tabs can crash when I go back to view them. It doesn't matter if it is a saved site, or a brand new one typed in.

I've been using Firefox for years on Windows 10 and earlier, and I just got a new Windows 11 laptop. On the new machine my bookmarks sidebar doesn't persist. I launch Firefox and open it, but when I exit Firefox and launch it again the sidebar is gone. I have to re-open it every time. This is not the behavior I experience on my other machines. Is there a setting in about:config that I need to change?

It's been a while since this problem first occurred but I am now very sure that this is about Firefox and not about graphics driver. This happens both when the hardware acceleration is turned on and turned off.

When I open a website that has mainly images or videos, the browser goes blitz (Reddit, Twitch, etc.). Screen splits to multiple views, it starts flickering and continues until I switch to another tab or quit Firefox. For flickering to stop, I need to restart the computer. I can also send a video if you can communicate a proper way of sharing. (Drive link, youtube, etc.)

Is there any way I can ensure Firefox does not break things on my computer?

Just starting up Firefox on my Windows 11 desktop initiates 9 firefox processes - see attached. Is there anyway to reduce the number of processes and the memory they seem to occupy by possibly going into the Windows registry and making changes to any Firefox configuration settings? If I dont get a satisfactory solution I will have to uninstall Firefox and use the default MS Edge which is not my preferred browser choice.

I use Firefox Nightly 131, because it have vertical tabs, but why you still have a empty top bar? can I hide it?What's the difference between that and horizontal tabs? It takes up just as much space.

I have a subscription to the FAZ and have always been able to read it in Firefox. Now that I have a new computer with the latest Windows 11 and the latest Firefox, I can no longer open the page https://zeitung.faz.net/. But it works fine in Google Chrome. Please tell me which settings I need to change so that I don't have to change browsers.

I was working on a work site and every time I wanted to delete an item a pop up would appear asking if I wanted to confirm deleting. I was tired of confirming and there was a box offering to stop the pop up. I clicked it and now I can not delete anything. I checked settings and added the site to allow popups that did not help. How do I fix this?

I am not part of an organization. Despite that, my browser is being controlled by an organization and I cannot control how my browser operates. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox several times to try to eliminate this issue and it keeps returning. There seems to be a certificate associated with this problem. "ImportEnterpriseRoots" How do I get rid of this problem permanently?

What can you do about it?

khulna.land.gov.bd has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

FF constantly develops problems logging into web pages; I will enter the correct u/n and password and click the login button, and it simply won't log in, it just refreshes the page and asks for my log in again. The same u/n and password work fine in other browsers. And nothing I've done has fixed it--uninstalling all my extensions, refreshing Firefox completely, clearing all cache data--nothing works.

FF also will develop problems with the lastpass plugin, where I also can't log into my vault via the plugin--the same thing happens. It will just refresh the log-in fields without logging in. I can only fix that one if I go to the Lastpass website and log in there--then suddenly the plugin works, until I log out of LP again.

Frankly, the problems with FF only seem to grow over time. I love the privacy focus and it being a Mozilla product. I hate how everything in it constantly breaks functionality.

Also, the Google App Launcher and my Google Account Icon are not working either. I wonder if this is an issue with my desktop, which is 5 years old now. That's not too old, but sometimes the cursor freezes for a few seconds, which is annoying.

I have cleared my cache and restarted the desktop, but that didn't help. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

I find myself unable to send the material on my google docs after declining to pay Vimeo their requested payment. Seems I cannot send anything successfully without this Vimeo in operation. Can you advise or fix the problem?
