When I am on the Facebook app, after a while I have to sign in agian, starting a question about accepting cookeys. Also when I have started Firefox and I click on Facebook I have to sign-in again, before I clicked on Facebook and it was there. Can you please help me?

I try to login to My Virgin Media. Enter my email address - OK. Virgin checks and then asks for password. Enter password, chek it is correct and press sign in. Absolutley NOTHING HAPPENS. O Google Chrome this dadta logs me in immediately. HELP

What does the following error message mean and how can the problem be corrected?

I have had this CPU for 8 months. I have had issues from day 1 with the stock Fedora install of Firefox where text is missing and some green and/or pink boxes appear where the text boxes should be. This has happened with all versions up to 129.0.

This has only been happening with Firefox. Vscodium, (chrome based) Brave and every other Wayland application including foot and freecad render correctly. it is only firefox and only firefox with this GPU. If I run Firefox under qemu without eGL then the rendering is good. If I run it under qemu and enable the virtioGL driver I get the same issue.

I attach a sample of a screen shot that shows that was captured from the frame buffer. In the bottom left corner, you can see quite a few characters missing.

I have seen other issues that say that it is a hardware problem, but I am not convinced. This happened with mesa-24.2.0. Find the glewinfo attached below: (Glewinfo log is very long, uploaded to Pastebin for better viewing) https://pastebin.com/raw/1NMnAjmc

I came here to open a subject that I will address later, but the situation I just encountered here may be related in some way.

I did not upload the two "uploaded" images you see at the bottom to this thread. They were actually used in my previous post, but immediately upon opening this post, they were already there.

I cleared cache and cookies, relaunched, but they still remain.

BTW. wasn't there a "Preview Post" option here before? Not now, at least for me.

EDIT: Now, after I just posted, the "Preview" button is there. But why, if there is no reply to preview? It's still not here in "edit" mode.

Most tabs that I open now crash. This has been a steadily building problem that now has made the system basically unusable. I did try clearing history, cookies, etc., but that did not help. Even working tabs can crash when I go back to view them. It doesn't matter if it is a saved site, or a brand new one typed in.

I started this thread because I believe it may be related to these problems/failures I'm having with exporting /importing Bookmarks, uploading images (on this site and elsewhere), which has also on occasion led to crashing my pc. Images from my previous thread auto-uploaded to this thread. I felt it might be better to separate the conversations until we get motre info.

Thru trial and error, it seems all these symptoms I will describe seem to be linked to my sessionstore.jsonlz4 file.

About six months ago I was having major problems with Firefox, navigation issues, broken toolbar buttons, blank toolbar button spots. I first tried to revert to a good working backup profile, which was fine until I did the file transfers from the problem profile to the backup, after which all the symptoms resurfaced in the backup profile. . I do what I always do by transferring certain files, but only those that make the transition without creating problems/conflicts; sessionstore.jsonlz4; places, cookies, etc.

I eventually chose to build a fresh profile, but the same problems occurred after the file transfer. Thru trial and error, I discovered that sessionstore.jsonlz4 was the root of the problems. I eventually went back and used the sessionstore.jsonlz4 from the backup file, but it was a real ordeal getting my session back up to date.

A couple weeks ago I started having problem here uploading images. I would select the file, but nothing would happen, and I was getting all these strange side effects.

But a few days later, Once again, I swapped out the profiles, these sorts of things started happening is what started happening when I tired to export/import bookmarks

I'm writing in the backup profile now, because trying to upload from here or from Postimage, generates only these,

I didn't have any problem transferring the history, cookies, or bookmarks to this backup profile, but how do I go about fixing this without sacrificing the session. Is there a way to import only the session tabs without bringing in the corrupting elements?

It's been a while since this problem first occurred but I am now very sure that this is about Firefox and not about graphics driver. This happens both when the hardware acceleration is turned on and turned off.

When I open a website that has mainly images or videos, the browser goes blitz (Reddit, Twitch, etc.). Screen splits to multiple views, it starts flickering and continues until I switch to another tab or quit Firefox. For flickering to stop, I need to restart the computer. I can also send a video if you can communicate a proper way of sharing. (Drive link, youtube, etc.)

Is there any way I can ensure Firefox does not break things on my computer?

I'm new here so please bear with me if I've posted in the wrong place or have missed something obvious.

I running Windows 10, fully updated, on a laptop. I have been using Firefox browser now for many years, suits my needs and avoid's using Goolges Chrome. My Firefox was updated a in the last few days and it shows as up to date on Version 129.0.1 64bit.

I noticed late last night that when opening a fresh window and enter a search term in either the address bar or the Google search bar, my usual choice of search engine, I hit return and nothing happens. Any text I've input disappears totally. Not at all sure what's going on but have found that if I open a new private window Firefow will act as I'd expect without any issues.

I have two other browsers on my laptop, Edge and also Avast's own offering which both work as expected when I enter a search term. Have never experienced this before with the exception of years ago when malware protection wasn't great. It almost seems as though something is just stopping Firefox from searching anything I enter. I can use the bookmarks just fine and then everything works as usual.

Yesterday I thought that maybe following the new windows culmulative updates I was offered and apparently installed just fine, that I needed to restart which a tried and I thought it had cured the issue. Seems that it hasn't and still having the same issue.

Any idea's or thought's on what the cause of this is?

I've been running Firefox on my HP Pavilion desktop for many years >10+. Currently running Windows 10. After this latest update Firefox continually disconnects itself from the network. Searches no longer work but Chrome and Edge both work perfectly. I can get it to connect but it only works for a few minutes and then disconnects.

Just starting up Firefox on my Windows 11 desktop initiates 9 firefox processes - see attached. Is there anyway to reduce the number of processes and the memory they seem to occupy by possibly going into the Windows registry and making changes to any Firefox configuration settings? If I dont get a satisfactory solution I will have to uninstall Firefox and use the default MS Edge which is not my preferred browser choice.

After I accept updates for Firefox and all looks good, I must restart my laptop several times before I can use my bookmarks. Or sometimes I just have to turn the laptop on or off several times before everything gets back to normal.

Firefox is refusing to open sites I am trying to access from links in my protonmail email account. It is giving me a message saying the sites are potential threats. "pdpwbj.clicks.mlsend.com" is what it tells me is the problem.

This is something I do everyday without issue. It isn't limited to one source of emails/websites - it is all of them.

I have cleared cache and history already. Help please as I need to access these websites for my work and having to go to all the individual websites and then to search for the linked content is taking a lot of time I don't normally use because I can just load using the links.

Can you (firefox dev team) team remove the fucking idiot features that auto my localhost domain to https? i typed 'localhost' and it's "https://localhost" i typed '127.0.0.1' and it's still "https:/127.0.0.1" i typed 'http://localhost' and it keep "https://localhost"

Microsoft Office LTSC version 2108, Firefox 129.0.1

When I click on an email web link Firefox insists on opening a new profile rather than adding a tab to the existing page.

I cannot find any options to tell FF to open in the existing profile. This seems to be a relatively new happening.

I have a subscription to the FAZ and have always been able to read it in Firefox. Now that I have a new computer with the latest Windows 11 and the latest Firefox, I can no longer open the page https://zeitung.faz.net/. But it works fine in Google Chrome. Please tell me which settings I need to change so that I don't have to change browsers.
