Since the last update, websites (eg- Pocket) that use Captcha recognition as part of the sign-in proceedure aren't loading the Captcha page. Ive checked other browsers & Captcha sign-in works normally. It means I can't use Firefox to log into websites which use Captcha & have to use an alternative browser instead. I've turned off all add-ons such as privacy badger, uBlock, Trace etc

When I open https://www.bluemountain.com/ the login is a popup. Firefox remembers my log in and when I click "Sign In" nothing happens. This worked fine up to the last Firefox update. Blue Mountain tells me it is some sort of security issue.

Is there a problem with downloading from streaming services? I noticed that Chrome had a similar problem to mine. Since about last Saturday, I cannot download MSNBC and other programing on YouTube TV -new shows (Live or Recorded) from YouTube TV. Sometimes there is an error - "there was an error licensing this video". Sometimes it is just a revolving circle that never completes. The programs appear fine on my son's cable. The "about" says that Firefox is up to date and Windows 10 did a cumulative update on 8/13 but streaming worked fine at least through 8/22.

I don't like the default homepage provided by Firefox, so I found an extension that can offer better tabs. But when I open Firefox, my homepage doesn't show the page provided by the extension. It's still Firefox's default homepage. Only when I open a new tab will the page provided by the extension appear. Also, the settings don't offer the option to replace Firefox's default homepage with the page provided by the extension. I need to replace the homepage from Firefox's default homepage to the tab provided by the extension.

sign in wants code. my google authenticator not giving correct code to sign in. only can sign in with google acct to post to ask a question.

so need to suggest use a text as I am confused with phone google authenticator. like to turn off this step. so can sync. reinstall ff and old bookmarks show up.

I want to be able to click and drag the URL from the address bar into Excel. (I can do this on other browsers with no issue.)

I want it to display, e.g.: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/desktop/form and not Get Support | Mozilla Support

I can right-click, copy, paste, but it's laborious when I'm used to click and drag! Can anyone help, please?

My account was fine all night and now I get an “inactive account” message when attempting to login.

Firefox 129.0 (64bit) - Windows 10 (with current updates)

Sometimes (except when I'm demonstrating the problem of course) a Google search simply hangs. In the search field (next to the shield & lock) the website for the search appears, eg https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=how+secure+are+android+phones or https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=nsw+service+parking+meter+app there is no other response and no activity in bottom left corner of the window.

Simply clearing history (history, cookies, cached files, but not site settings) fixes the problem and the search can then be repeated and new searches done until the next time, when it's a case of rinse & repeat. No other action is required, which would seem to suggest that the problem isn't elsewhere.

This problem affects both my wife's and my PC (same configs), and has for several weeks, sorry can't be more precise as to when it started.

When Firefox is my chosen browser, I often follow a link in an email to a usual site, but get a message saying 'Network Protocol Error'. I've tried the instructions online; they don't work. If I copy the link address and paste it into a different browser, I have no problem at all... I'm at the point where I don't want to use Firefox! Can anyone help me please?

Like others here and on the internet, the constantly-returning Firefox desktop shortcut is driving me crazy. I've finally just decided to uninstall Firefox and go with Chrome. Maybe in a year I'll check back and see if this bizarre problem is still plaguing Firefox.

I'm new here so please bear with me if I've posted in the wrong place or have missed something obvious.

I running Windows 10, fully updated, on a laptop. I have been using Firefox browser now for many years, suits my needs and avoid's using Goolges Chrome. My Firefox was updated a in the last few days and it shows as up to date on Version 129.0.1 64bit.

I noticed late last night that when opening a fresh window and enter a search term in either the address bar or the Google search bar, my usual choice of search engine, I hit return and nothing happens. Any text I've input disappears totally. Not at all sure what's going on but have found that if I open a new private window Firefow will act as I'd expect without any issues.

I have two other browsers on my laptop, Edge and also Avast's own offering which both work as expected when I enter a search term. Have never experienced this before with the exception of years ago when malware protection wasn't great. It almost seems as though something is just stopping Firefox from searching anything I enter. I can use the bookmarks just fine and then everything works as usual.

Yesterday I thought that maybe following the new windows culmulative updates I was offered and apparently installed just fine, that I needed to restart which a tried and I thought it had cured the issue. Seems that it hasn't and still having the same issue.

Any idea's or thought's on what the cause of this is?

I'm having problems with a website constantly asking me to accept cookie permissions. It happens on some other sites occasionally, but this particular site is one that I use each day.

When I visit the site I get the cookie permissions box. I click accept all cookies. No matter how many links I click I am presented with the box yet again. It doesn't happen with Chrome, Edge or Brave.

Hello, When I tried to use ChatGPT on Firefox, It showed only white blank page. I can't type or do anything to ChatGPT. But in Chrome it works fine. I tried to reset Firefox but still be the same. Does anyone know how to fix this? It happened yesterday.

Why can't I get to my e-mail or bank website on Firefox without jumping through a bunch of hoops? I don't have this problem on Chrome. Do I need to switch browsers?

I'm trying to use a security key for my Vanguard site. I've tried with Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Chrome. I can get to almost the end but get stopped-- I can't get no father to "connect and activate." I get a message saying--"Vanguard is requesting extended information about your security key which may affect your privacy. Firefox can anonymize this for you but the website might decline this key. If declined try again." I talked to Vanguard for help but they didn't know how to help. The key is uTrust FIDO2 NFC. USB-A NFC Certified Security Key. I believe the problem may be that this key will link all my accounts in Firefox ( and will also link if I use any other browser.)

Using an authenticator for one account is safe, but allowing a website to ask for extended information for multiple accounts using the same authenticator can permit that website to identify a link between those accounts. If you are concerned about having accounts linked together in this way, you should either deny extended information when prompted, or use different authenticators for the different accounts. This linkability is based on the authenticators, and not on your browser. If you use the same authenticator with different browsers, websites can still identify a link between multiple accounts. I use Mozilla Firefox for work. Part of my work requires I use the GlobalProtect VPN client. When I log on to the VPN, everything appears to be fine. The problem arises when I log out of the VPN client, such as needing to switch to a different VPN.

When I log out of the VPN client, Mozilla slows down massively. I get the following errors when trying to access websites.

PR_END_OF_FILE Timeout

I thought it was a DNS issue, but the change I made previously did not prove to be a reliable fix, and I do not actually know the root cause of what is happening. Firefox returns to normal ONLY after a full computer restart. At this point I am considering switching browsers as, despite Firefox's functionality, it is starting to interfere with my work.

I have used other VPNs, such as Fortigate VPN, and not encountered anything like this.

Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.

I appreciated how easy it was to restore my bookmarks, but I also discovered another problem in the process. When I went to sort my bookmarks by name, it sorted but added in a gazillion bookmarks that had been deleted many years ago. I have no idea how or why this is happening. Again, I need help. This was, of course, what happened when I asked for help previously. Somehow the sorting (by Name) has been corrupted.
