Version 128.0.3 (64-bit) What’s new Mozilla Firefox for Linux Mint

When I visit a page which contains a Google Doc spreadsheet or try to open a Google Spreadsheet the page often fails to render properly and what I see is my desktop background instead of the Google doc element or Google doc sheet. Please see attached. This has been happening for ages and I resorted back to Chrome for such pages but now I'd like to see if it can be resolved.

Hello, we are running Thunderbird 128.1.0osr (32-bit) released on 8/6/24. Ever since the upgrade my husband's email has not worked correctly.

Around that same time, he received a pop up within the Thunderbird app asking for donations from Thunderbird. The popup would not go away and my husband lost a ton of his email.

Ever since these two events his Thunderbird email won't work correctly.

Messages since 8/4/24 at 6:32 am DO work correctly. Emails prior to 5/6/23 also work correctly. Any message in the time period from 5/6/23 at 11:26 am to 8/4/24 does NOT work correctly.

We are having the same trouble with the sent items folder.

We use a third party email that we import into Thunderbird and have used the third party email and Thunderbird since at least 2020 and never had this problem.

We can see all the message headers in our email list, but when we click on the email, nothing shows up. It will briefly say "message loading" at the bottom corner, but the email is totally blank. Furthermore, the message that peeks out at the bottom is the last email that we clicked on from the section of emails that does work. It is not changing to the email we are actually clicking on.

For example: lets say we have an email with message header "thank you for your order" received on 8/15. We click into that and it pulls up fine.

Then we go into older email from 7/31. The message header is "hurry sale ends today". If we click on that, it will say "message loading" at the bottom corner. However, the message preview at the bottom of the screen still displays the from/to/subject from the previous email we viewed from 8/15 "thank you for your order" (the message from 8/15 shows as blank though).

Even if we double click the message from 7/31 that we are trying to view, it just pulls up a blank screen. The bar at the top will briefly display the correct message title that we are trying to open, then it just blanks out.

Steps we have taken:

1. In Account Settings/Privacy I clicked to "allow remote content". This made an improvement as prior to this we were having the same problem even with recent messages. We could see one or two messages that had just arrived, then the third message we couldn't see. We have messages set to delete on the server after so many days. So I think it was able to recover the message that were still on the remove 3rd party server.

2. We moved a lot of the emails into archive folders as I thought the inbox may be too large. That didn't make any improvement.

Thanks for any help you can provide. My husband has a lot of really important information in his emails that he needs.

I migrated to a new computer with Windows 11 and to the latest TB nebula. I copied the profile folders to the new system and it imported 20 years of email correctly. BUT every connections seems to hang and eventually times out. It almost looks like TB blocked by a firewall. Even checking for updates eventually times out. HOWEVER everything works fine in troubleshooting mode.

I have no add-ons installed. I have no VPNs or additional firewalls. Disabling Windows firewall entirely doesn't change anything. I tried "Make the changes and restart" with no success. I added thunderbird.exe to the exceptions to the windows firewall and even added a rule. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

Is there any setting related to the connection that would be different in troubleshoot mode? Apparently nobody has ever experienced this problem, I feel like I'm going insane.

Everything I get from the NYTimes goes straight to my spam folder, which is not the case with Google Chrome. I've had a GEEK Squad tech try to fix the problem, but he couldn't. Is there any way I can solve this longstanding problem? (I get lots of emails from the NYTimes because I participate in their comment threads, where I check the box to be alerted when someone responds to my comment, but that all goes into my spa folder. It's frustrating!)

pedro@highway1.com.au was with zetta net till last year when they canceled my account out of the blue , no warning , WAS PAIDED UP ? AS WELL ? See zetta has changed its name now to zettagrid ? Now thunder demands a new pass word to load new e-mails , the old pass word does not work any more ? Now have my internet with Optus as zetta would not talk to me from October 2023

I have multiple email accounts configured in Thunderbird, all of them are IMAP and hosted through Google/gmail.

Occasionally emails that I delete or move to folders will return to my inbox. This happens very irregularly. Sometimes it happens daily, sometimes it can go many days without an occurrence.

If emails are sorted within the gmail browser interface, the problem never happens.

I've tried a complete deletion of Thunderbird and all app data, and resetting all email accounts but the problem persists.

I am getting numerous emails that I can't seem to filter. they end in .best I set up a filter the same way I did for .be etc. They slip right through. Any ideas?

Icons look funny when I am on Chess.com If I use Microsoft edge on this same PC the site looks fine. But when I log in with Firefox the Chess.com website Icons look like symbols. This is some kind of extension issue? Look at the upper right corner of the screen shot I have attached. Thank you, HELP!

Running Thunderbird 128.0.1esr

I use "Manage Message Filters" on Inbox, with "Getting new Mail" and "Manually Run" options checked.

One of the filters was to move anything with 'From' 'Contains' 'Amazon.com' or 'Audible.com' to a special folder. About 1 or 2 months ago, this quit working. Other filters continue to work. (I have 9 filters groups). Some using 'from contains' others using different criteria.

Another filter I have is 'From' Contains 'facebook.com' which worked fine, moving to a social media folder. it worked fine until I added 'linkedin.com'. Now that filter fails for both facebook.com and the new linkedin.com.

I redid the Amazon filter and it still fails.

The rest of my filters are still working as designed.

Any idea on what's going on here, or what I can do?

Thunderbird was configured to send & receive via Cox /yahoo mail. Worked until recently but can no longer send or receive.

When it was necessary to change from Heart Internet to Thunderbird your representative guided me through setting up my email account on my laptop.

I would like to access my emails on my cellphone, as I did before, but require assistance in setting up that facility on my cellphone.

Please send me the details to enable, "an amateur", to load my emails onto my Apple iPhone.

I follow 9 different Google calendars. 7 are linked to my personal Gmail account and 2 to a work account.

Today the 7 linked to my account were unlinked.

My Gmail password probably has changed, but TB reads emails from the account. I have tried:

• Bulleted list itemClicking Enable next to the account.
• Bulleted list itemClicking the three dots to the right of Enable, selecting Properties, and checking the Enable box.
• Bulleted list itemTrying to create a new calendar in the account, hoping it would see all the old ones.

None of these worked. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Gmail inform there is no internet connection. Amount of cookies is only 20 MB and cache is 80 MB. I have to enter my registration to the websites I visit quite often! I'm a Firefox user for over 20 years but planning to quit very soon.

Running macOS 14.6.1 with Firefox V129.0.2.

Since I upgraded Firefox either to 129.0 or 129.0.1 (I didn't notice the issue immediately), it seems I can't access anymore any of the secondary search engines that appear when you click on the search windows. The default search engine is DuckDuckGo and, if I wish to ask it something, it is still correctly answers. However, if I want to ask to one of the secondary search engines (for example, Google, or the French or English Wikipedia), clicking on the icon of this engine doesn't produce any result anymore.

Please note that I also upgraded from macOS Sonoma 14.5 to 14.6.1 at approximately the same time I upgraded Firefox to 129.0.1. No idea if this has any bearing on the issue.

Is this a known issue? And, if not, has anybody any idea on how to troubleshoot it?

I'm moving from an older laptop to a newer one. In the past, I used Sync to transfer bookmarks and other data from an older to a newer system. This time, however, Sync does not appear in the Settings pages. I found "Switching to a New Device" in the Help menu. It engages "Backup Assistant" to collect the data to be transferred (I assume). It first wants me to log in with my Mozilla account. If I enter my account identifier and click "Continue" I receive a "Waiting" graphic that never ends. If I pre-log in to my Mozilla account before engaging Back Assistant, it doesn't make a difference, it still waits forever.

In Chromium you can go a page backward or forward by swiping one finger to the left or right. This works really well. I have been missing this feature in Firefox for years now. Without it navigation in the browser is tedious on Linux tablets or phones.

Is something similar ever going to be implemented?

I have tried everything but my sites show up in microfonts and run off the page, examples are Amazon and Mailchimp. I then have to enlarge it and end up scrolling to the right to try and see the whole page. I went to the settings and changed fonts & font sizes but the problem remains. It drives me crazy and it is also time consuming. What am I not doing right or how can I resolve this?
