My PC was reset by refreshing windows and keep your data (so it was explained to me) Since all registry settings where gone, I reinstalled firefox Now I want to restore my bookmarks and saved passwords from my prior profile, but I can't find it anymore, does a install of firefox wipes or overwrites the profile that was already there ? how an I get it back ?

Hello, When I tried to use ChatGPT on Firefox, It showed only white blank page. I can't type or do anything to ChatGPT. But in Chrome it works fine. I tried to reset Firefox but still be the same. Does anyone know how to fix this? It happened yesterday.

Hi, Why do I have to click twice in a row on a message in the trash that I want to delete? This is how I do it: The message is moved to the trash and should be deleted from there. I mark the message in the trash and then click once on Delete at the bottom right. A window appears asking if I really want to delete. I then click once on Delete and neither the window nor the message disappears. Only when I click on Delete a second time do the window and the message disappear from the trash. What could be the reason for this and how can I fix it? Thank you for a useful answer. I don't have much experience with IT and Thunderbird. Regards Manfred

Hi, I have a problem with my gmail account. It works on laptop, but same settings on pc doesn't let me send emails. The incoming emails on pc are ok, but when I try to send the email Mozilla says that "login on server smtp.gmail.com with my email address was not succeed". It doesn't help to try once more or to delete and reinstall the account. When I installed the gmail to Mozilla on laptop, I must accept it on Googles site, but my pc seems to remember old settings and they are wrong. An image attached. Hilkka

Firefox 129.0 (64bit) - Windows 10 (with current updates)

Sometimes (except when I'm demonstrating the problem of course) a Google search simply hangs. In the search field (next to the shield & lock) the website for the search appears, eg https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=how+secure+are+android+phones or https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=nsw+service+parking+meter+app there is no other response and no activity in bottom left corner of the window.

Simply clearing history (history, cookies, cached files, but not site settings) fixes the problem and the search can then be repeated and new searches done until the next time, when it's a case of rinse & repeat. No other action is required, which would seem to suggest that the problem isn't elsewhere.

This problem affects both my wife's and my PC (same configs), and has for several weeks, sorry can't be more precise as to when it started.

I'd like to be able to see the help page on audible in desktop browser I can still open the help page in chrome but not Firefox and it is annoying having to switch browsers.

I have moved from Mailbird to Thunderbird, a pat on my back I am really satisfied. I use POP3 so all my emails are downloaded to my computer. I keep two years of incoming and sent emails in Local Folders as follows: email account 1 year 2023 > Folders and subfolders organized per topic year 2022 > Folders and subfolders organized per topic The same for three other accounts. These occupy a lot of disk space, so I want to archive each email account with its folders and subfolders and move them to an external drive. Is this possible with Thunderbird? Somehow I was running an unsupported ver 129 on a Win 10 system, not sure how. I was getting a warning message at startup. I decided to install the latest supported ver 128. I did that over the ver I was running and did not save, export or rename anything. Just one install over the other. I have lost my calendar that I spent months building. Did I lose it? Any possibility it is still around hiding somewhere? Help please, but I am prepared for the worst for being hasty in my decision. Cheers, TR

For the past two days (Aug 20,2024) I have received NO emails and CANNOT send. I get the message, "because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com timed out." I have tried reloading Thunderbird with no results. The email zfhanna@gmail is also on my phone. My Tbird is on an IMac and Windows 10 laptop. Neither works. For Wifi I use a satellite provider.

I have had this CPU for 8 months. I have had issues from day 1 with the stock Fedora install of Firefox where text is missing and some green and/or pink boxes appear where the text boxes should be. This has happened with all versions up to 129.0.

This has only been happening with Firefox. Vscodium, (chrome based) Brave and every other Wayland application including foot and freecad render correctly. it is only firefox and only firefox with this GPU. If I run Firefox under qemu without eGL then the rendering is good. If I run it under qemu and enable the virtioGL driver I get the same issue.

I attach a sample of a screen shot that shows that was captured from the frame buffer. In the bottom left corner, you can see quite a few characters missing. This happens randomly and sometimes goes away when scrolling.
