我已经打开了“在需要时显示触摸键盘”选项，但是经过我的测试，所有的软件、浏览器（Chrome、edge、Steam等等）都能够正常唤起触摸键盘，只有Firefox不行

I have turned on the "Show a touch keyboard when necessary" option, but in my tests, all software and browsers (Chrome, edge, Steam, etc.) are able to call up the touch keyboard properly, except Firefox

I'm old, so having the "header" in my Private Search bar be in dark mode is very difficult. I've done searches on the subject and noted there are other people with visual challenges with the same issue.

I tried to go to Settings to change it, but it wouldn't let me change from "automatic" to "light mode". It was blocked!

Please help as I really, really prefer to do private searches for items relating to my medical issued. It is tough enough to be old, I don't need the whole internet gawking at searches for adult diapers, etc.

Hi there! How can I delete the "go back one page shortcut"? Every time I side-scroll while holding option I go back and this is interfering with another web-app.

Hi,

I have two PCs with latest versions of Firefox and Roboform. On one, Roboform controls the password manager in Firefox, in one it doesn't. How can I change the setting so it controls in both?

i used to be able to go full screen mode in firefox, for example in youtube, by clicking the full screen mode button in lower right corner. this does not work any more and not only in youtube. any stream with full screen does not work. this is Firefox only as fully screen works in Opera. clicking the title bar and choosing full screen does not help. I am on Linux mint.

On website at wordplay.com (like wordl but better) I use to be able to use my keyboard to type in my 5 letter words. Those letters would populate in the boxes on the screen. Now when I do that a little pink box comes up in the bottom left corner of my screen and my letters are shown there.

So, I have to manually select each letter on the simulated keyboard on the app with my cursor. I don't know what I did to change this. I have refreshed Foxfire but that didn't help. Image attached but system wont let me attach the pink box.

I have two printers that were removed from macOS System Settings in Sonoma 14.5. They are showing in the print dialogue menu in Firefox 127.0.2 on both my laptop (MacBook Air M1) and desktop (Mac Studio).

Rebooting the computer, restarting Firefox, etc. haven't resolved the issue.

Firefox's PDF viewer incorrectly applies user-defined font settings intended for HTML pages, resulting in illegible PDFs and requiring time-consuming workarounds.

Key Points: 1. When "Allow pages to choose their own fonts" is disabled in Firefox settings, the built-in PDF viewer renders some PDFs with incorrect fonts, replacing characters with icons and gifs. 2. This setting should only affect HTML pages, not PDFs, as PDFs are designed to maintain the author's exact formatting. 3. Current workarounds (saving/opening PDFs locally or toggling the font settings) are inconvenient and disrupt workflow. (Open a settings tab, navigate to fonts, navigate to advanced, toggle the option, select okay, return to prior tab, reload, view without error, then repeat the process to restore preferred settings.) 4. Users who prefer custom fonts for HTML content are forced to choose between readable PDFs and their preferred web browsing experience.

Background: HTML is intended to decompose information exchange in such a way that the viewer has control of aspects such as fonts; while PDF is a format designed specifically to present exactly as the author intended. The difference is the primary reason an author would choose to use pdf vs html. The issues can be reproduced with B612 and other fonts, in Firefox 127.0.2 and many earlier versions, on github repositories pages that embed pdf files, and most other pdf files opened with the viewer.

Proposed Solution: Implement a separate font control setting for the PDF viewer, allowing users to maintain their custom font preferences for HTML content while correctly rendering PDFs with the author's intended fonts. Or, simply disallow the setting to apply to the PDF Viewer.

Impact: Resolving this issue will significantly improve user experience, maintain the integrity of PDF documents, and eliminate the need for disruptive workarounds, ultimately enhancing productivity for affected users.

Just like title says, there's no download panel when opening a youtube video in a new tab. If i open it in the same tab, it'll show the download panel. How can i fix this?

My New Tab page has four rows of shortcut tiles, 8 to each row. Total= 32 tiles. I accidentally "dismissed" one tile and now the page has only 31 tiles. I can find no way to restore the setting for 32 tiles. I looked in the "about:config" file but cannot figure it out. Kindly help. Thank you.

This setting got reset on me last night. Using 127.0.2.

So, I set it to custom, add in a URL, close the settings, re-open the settings and see it is set.

I close my non-pinned tabs and then close the browser.

Upon opening the browser, I am greeted with an empty tab and the Setting has reverted to "Blank Page".

I have lost recent activity on home screen. There are blank tiles but nothing is being added.Hovering over tiles nothing happens. How do I get recent activity to appear again ?

I want to change "browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once" preference to true. So I do it in about:config page and if I reaccess this page in another tab within the session, then my value is being kept.

However, when I restart Firefox (thru "Exit" in "File" menu), all previous pages get restored and that preference is "false" again in the config after a new browser start.

I also made a user.js file with the following content: // user_pref("browser.startup.couldRestoreSession.count", 0); user_pref("browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once",true);

Nothing helps.

Please let me know how I can modify the config file.

Dear supporter, our firefox is managed by our company, while download file, not sure why some file type could not setup default option, due to no check box "Do this automatically for files like this from now on", could you share how to fix ? Thanks a lot.

I can edit my short cuts. One I have added the Name, and the URl, I also have the option to add a custom picture to the square icon for the shortcut. It seems obvious to want, as I do, to "drag and drop" a photo of my choice from my personal collection. For example, when there are multiple shortcuts for the email of each person in the family, their individual photo is a great identifier. As things are now it seems I can only add another URL. I tried to add the URL from a family members Facebook page but it would not accept the link. Can some techno whizzz out there not make "drag and drop" an option? It would be REALLY useful for us all to have the photo of our choice, either a family person where appropriate, or a pet or whatever, or a friend. Thanks. Drag and DRop seems such such a common process now I cant think it would be difficult. Well....I wouldn't know where to start of course, but thats why this is a Help forum! Hi, got a problem for the last several days - on each visited site Firefox (my guess) is launching a pop up about add-ons for Ad Blocks tham I am using were updated with official national filters for Polish market.

This is super annoying and the pop-up jumps on almost every new site bieng visited (it is visible for ca. 5 seconds). Is there any way to stop it? How can I dissable this feature?
