Pressing Alt in Firefox in Linux (Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Linux Mint 22.xx) brings up a top menu, which is hugely annoying as I'm always trying to to a window action if I'm pressing Alt.

The suggested solution is to go to about:config and change ui.key.menuAccessKeyFocuses to "false".

But this keeps reverting itself. (Between every other reboot?). Alt will again bring up this menu.

How can I permanently disable this shortcut?

I can't seem to figure this out on my own so i'm hoping someone here can help.

I have some unwanted emails showing up as suggested when i right click on a browser tab and select "share" and i don't know how to find where they are saved on the browser to be able to delete them so they're no longer auto-suggested. Right clicking on the suggested email doesn't show any options and they are not saved in auto-fill either.

Havent tried deleting all cookies/history, but im not sure if that would help.. Anyone have any ideas?

I am on a Windows 10 Pro PC 64 Bit OS with 16GB of memory, running Bit Defender Total Security. I have used Firefox for many years and have never had a problem The browser is version 128.0.2 (64-bit). A few days ago in the application menu told me there was an update and said to install it because it couldn't check for updates. I downloaded and installed it three times now, but the problem still persists. My Bit Defender also keeps popping up messages telling me "firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an unmatching security certificate to aus5.mozilla.org. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since the used certificate was issued for a different web address than the targeted one." I have had over 2000 of those messages in the past few days.

I have never had an issue like this before. Is there a glitch in the most recent update? What can I do to fix it outside of resetting my browser, which logs me out of my google accounts and causes me to not be able to get back into them.

Since today, Firefox is no longer loading the previous settings. Every time I open it up, it opens as it was newly installed.

What changed? I didn't change anything in my computer for this to start.

Hello. How on earth I disable updates? I tried in about:config, but there - the updates come back. So how I disable uploads completely? The second question is: Why do you have so many updates? I don't wanna be the slave to your updates, I don't wanna be the slave to your updates so badly that I will risk all security and everything in my life just to get rid of them! Why? Why? How can I disable updates? I don't want you to touch my computer digitally ever again! Please advise. Otherwise, I am completely leaving Mozilla after 30+ years of usage. And turning to some completely other browser that is not based on google engine and doesn't need more than one update monthly, and if, that I am aiming that for long. What in the hell you have to update so much? Almost on [redacted] daily basis? Are you completely nuts? What is wrong with you? What is wrong with you? Firefox Desktop failed last night 7/24/24 after 8:00 PM PDT the Windows 10 failure message is; XLU runner Error platform version 128.0.2 is not compatible with 128.0 Min or 128.0 Max:

I need Firefox to run, I can run Google Chrome but want to return to Firefox that failed last night.

I save a list of >20 sites on which I allow popups. What is the most efficient way to enter those sites?

==> I would like to avoid entering each one individually.

Firefox would not open so I ran an old installer I had and now I've lost everything. No Bookmarks, no history, no add-ons. is there anyway to get it all back? Is everything in a file somewhere?

Hi there, I'm looking for help with Firefox not loading pages "Hmm. We're having trouble finding that site." 128.0.2 running on Mac os Sonoma 14.5 Mac Studio M1 Max chip

Here's what I've tried so far: -- network connection stable, other browsers work fine. -- disabled plug ins and extensions -- completely cleared cookies, cache, and history -- opened in safe mode (hold down option key and launch app) and refreshed Firefox -- opened in safe mode as above and entered troubleshoot mode

Is there anything else you can think of to try? I'm not able to find any new suggestions yet on the knowledge base here.
