Until today it worked fine. But now whenever I try to login to Xfinity I get You don't have permission to access "http://login.xfinity.com/login" on this server. It works fine on Chrome and Edge. I have disabled my add-ons. I have cleared cache, cookies, etc. I have rebooted. I have turned off firewall. I have checked my DNS. I have changed the DNS protection to OFF in Firefox. I have checked my proxy setting (I have no proxy). I have reinstalled Firefox. Etc. Etc. Nothing works. The fact that it works on Chrome and Edge, that it has worked everyday until today gets me confused. I also tried using my mobile phone as a hot spot to make sure it wasn't related to my Internet connection or IP address. Anyone have any ideas?

About two or three times a month the PC randomly freezes completely if a video is running in the actual Firefox browser (regardless of the site, regardless of whether it is in the active tab or in the background). First the image freezes, after about 10 seconds the sound freezes. Only a hard reset helps. The problem is observed both in actual Windows 11 and in Manjaro Linux. In games, rendering, stress tests and other PC works stably, does not freeze. How to solve this problem?

I need to uninsntall my present version of firefox and reinstall an upgraded version . i have a desktop frontier has ended their e-mail and therefore I no longer have the e-mail that everyone knows me by I have no e-mail except on my phone. My reachaable E-Mail is marcumgrover@gmail.com

I have the "Always ask you where to save files" check box checked in settings, but it still just automatically saves everything to my downloads folder and I keep having to then cut and paste the file where I want it. I also have "Ask whether to open or save files" checked. Any idea how to fix this, so it will ask me where to save downloads?

Hello. I am a registered Thunderbird donor. I was using Nebula 128 with no problems on a desktop computer with Windows 10. (The computer will not allow upgrades to Windows 11). All windows updates are installed properly. After updating yesterday to Nebula 130.b03 I can no longer send emails directly from Windows desktop explorer using the send to email recipient right click function (it does nothing) or from within an Office app (Excel and Powerpoint say there is a problem with the mail client and to restart the mail client, (which I have done multiple times). Word shows a Mapi error, which I include a picture of.

From within the app, I can send and receive emails with no problems, on my different accounts, but this lack of functionality is really aggravating. I would love to be able to rollback to 128, (not sure how to do so or if it's possible, and also if it wouldn't automatically update me back to 130)... or would also have to wait and see if the next update whenever that is fixes the problem.

I have obviously restarted both the computer and Thunderbird several times, with no luck. Tried running Thunderbird in troubleshooting mode, but had the same result.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. John

Having hundreds of opened tabs across many windows and 3 separate desktops , I can not find tab that suddenly become active. Particular Icon of active desktop icon and active window icon and list of tabs specific icon should be flashing to make easy to find transmitting/active Icon/tab in ‘Firefox’.

Before, when I would restart Firefox, windows (not tabs, those get restored fine) would be restored to whichever desktop they were previously on. So if I had 2 desktops and one Firefox window in each, on restart the windows would be assigned to their respective desktops. Now, however, both windows always get reassigned to the first desktop.

Am on win10 -- FF 118.0.2

A strange thing has just occurred in the past two days -- Firefox will no longer drag and drop URLs to form a shortcut on the desktop; I get only the international "can't do that" symbol, the circle with a slash, as I drag.

When I make a shortcut within firefox, then copy it and paste to the desktop, instead of the FF icon, I get the blank sheet, but when I look at the file with Notebook, it shows all the expected content:

I've googled for answers, but found nothing worthwhile. One suggestion was to shift the default browser to something else. I chose Google Chrome. Did no good. The shortcuts remained inactive. I could drag and drop from Chrome to the desktop but the shortcuts were still of a white sheet and inactive.

So, I'm suspecting something in Windows needs to be reset, but what? Can't find anything about where and how url shortcuts are treated in the registry. It's an annoyance. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi, Could you add a simple feature for autoscrolling pdf files in the built-in viewer ? It would be a great help when playing sheet music, etc.

Just: start/stop (with hotkeys) and scroll speed setting. It exists for chrome: Tab Scroller - Guitar Tab Auto Scroll, but I would prefer to use firefox of course.

Since the last update, websites (eg- Pocket) that use Captcha recognition as part of the sign-in proceedure aren't loading the Captcha page. Ive checked other browsers & Captcha sign-in works normally. It means I can't use Firefox to log into websites which use Captcha & have to use an alternative browser instead. I've turned off all add-ons such as privacy badger, uBlock, Trace etc

I am unable to create new sub-folders within my Local Folders, nor re-name existing folders.

I am using Thunderbird 128.1esr (64 bit) on a Mac running macOS Ventura 13.6.9.

The process I am using is to select the folder name that I wish to create a sub-folder fro, then Control-click to call up the sub-menu. The New Subfolder command gives no result, nor does the Rename command.

Any advice please?

When I open https://www.bluemountain.com/ the login is a popup. Firefox remembers my log in and when I click "Sign In" nothing happens. This worked fine up to the last Firefox update. Blue Mountain tells me it is some sort of security issue.

 An update or two (maybe more?) ago, the plus sign with which we add shortcuts to the Firefox browser home page/new tab page disappeared, so now we can no longer add shortcuts on the home page/new tab page.  Please help.  I am running Firefox Version 129.0.2 (64-bit) on a Windows 11 Pro 64-bit if that makes any difference.  Thanks.

Is there a problem with downloading from streaming services? I noticed that Chrome had a similar problem to mine. Since about last Saturday, I cannot download MSNBC and other programing on YouTube TV -new shows (Live or Recorded) from YouTube TV. Sometimes there is an error - "there was an error licensing this video". Sometimes it is just a revolving circle that never completes. The programs appear fine on my son's cable. The "about" says that Firefox is up to date and Windows 10 did a cumulative update on 8/13 but streaming worked fine at least through 8/22.

I don't like the default homepage provided by Firefox, so I found an extension that can offer better tabs. But when I open Firefox, my homepage doesn't show the page provided by the extension. It's still Firefox's default homepage. Only when I open a new tab will the page provided by the extension appear. Also, the settings don't offer the option to replace Firefox's default homepage with the page provided by the extension. I need to replace the homepage from Firefox's default homepage to the tab provided by the extension.
