I accidentally cleared the Firefox app's data while my account was still logged in and now all of my account data is completely gone. Am I just done for or is there a way to get this back?

Good morning. I recently changed smartphone, activating Firefox Sync between both devices, making sure that the old one didn't have the setting that makes open tabs inactive. Now after a week I don't see anymore synchronized tabs with the old smartphone. How can I solve it? Thanks, Phil.

This has been brought up before, but not with this exact question (not that I could find, at least).

I understand that cookies cannot be synced across devices, but this is not what I am asking for. Is there a way to make firefox sync the list of exceptions? Meaning, only the specified website URL and its status, not the cookies from these sites.

I've had no issues with Firefox Sync on desktop but frequent issues on Android.

Yesterday, it failed in a different way, announcing that I needed to sign into Sync. I've tried a dozen times yesterday and today using both QR scan and email confirmation. All fail in various ways. For example:

• After scanning QR code: "500 Error Oh dear, something went wrong there"
• After scanning QR code: "Pairing not successful. Error while creating the pairing channel"
• After scanning QR code and approving on mobile device and desktop, desktop says success, but phone stays on "Approval now required from your other device" Interestingly this page isn't open in the normal browser. If I click the three dot menu, it says "POWERED BY FIREFOX, Open in Firefox"
• After going through all the steps and it saying "You're signed into Firefox," yet when I go to share a tab, it asked me to sign in.

Any tips on getting Firefox Sync to work? I don't see any troubleshooting sections in the online help articles.

I've searched, but I haven't found anything to help with this particular situation ...

I love Firefox/Mozilla Sync and I use it a lot, but I've recently had a desire/need to set up a scenario that some may think perculiar - let me set the scene ...

• Work PC running Firefox - 1 profile
• Work VDI running Firefox - 1 profile
• Work laptop running Firefox - 2 profiles (work & personal)

Mainly for the sake of sending tabs to the appropriate Firefox profile on the laptop, I want/need to be able to config things in Sync to treat those 2 profiles as being different entities. Currently, it appears that all profiles on a device (or within the same user profile on a Windows computer) are treated as the same entity by Sync.

Any ideas on how to achieve what if trying to do? Is it possible with Firefox/Mozilla Sync?

BTW., for clarity, if it matters, the devices listed above are all Windows. FWIW., I also use FF on Android and Linux ... and MacOS.

you dont need a screenshot. its reral simple i am tired of nothing working right. i have added multiple wallets on my phantom app but it doesnt show up on my phantom wallet on my laptop. i have been hitting check for updates for 2 hours. why wont it update. and if i have to put in a 24 word secret phrase evertime i want to update my extension. then good bye firefox. then why have a check fofr updates button.

I have Mac, Windows, and Linux boxes. All show connected to Firefox Sync, however, bookmarks etc are only actually in sync between Windows and Linux. I've tried logging out on all devices, resetting passwords, reinstalling FF on the Mac. Can't seem to get it to work.

This seems to be caused by Firefox. I don't have this problem with Edge, Chrome or Opera

Why you create Mozilla account with sync, if I can't use profile which I saved on my old PC. I change my PC and now I can't use my open tabs as needed, I need to open each tab one by one. Why ??? Why I can't use saved profile on my new PC ??????

I am using a Android device, I am finding sync issues in login to my browser, a computer screen is active on my device may be through wch a shared browser is connected. I am not sharing my connection with any one nor I have a computer system for my internet access. While signing in its showing a authorisation error. My internet connection is totally private and confidential & personal wch I am the only user. Why is that I am finding authorisation error and who is the one who authorises me...?? I don't have any authoriser for my acount or browser

Yesterday on my linux computer I noticed that my container setup ise back to the default setting. Now I'm using my windows laptop, and it is als back to the defaults. I'm afraid the same thing will happen when I start using my windows desktop. Should I poll the network cable and delete my firefox sync data, so I can hopefully save my containers setup? Or is this not going to help, and I'm fucked anyway :)

I have enabled Firefox Sync between my laptop and my Android. When I go to the manage history tab on my laptop, the history of both my laptop and phone is shown but without the device the tab was viewed on. Is there a way to filter history based on which device I viewed on?

I’ve used Firefox for many years on both my pc and mobile and keep them both up to date and use sync. However recently when using the app and wish to enter my username and password with autofill, after using my phones passkey, I can find the website on my password list but the username and password are not being displayed and will not autofill to the website I am attempting to use. However, when I am using the website on my pc I have no issues at all. Even after manually entering the username on the app password list and attempt to access it again at a later time, the username and password are not being displayed or deleted. Please see attached photo as an example.
