I find it to be a big oversight that the project is so mature but still doesn't have RTL support out of the box. The (unofficial) add-ons that supply this functionality are yet to be updated to be compatible with version 115. Isn't it time to make this part of the base program?

I've been a faithful Thunderbird user since the beginning - and continue to use Thunderbird with our company's Microsoft365 deployment

until Monday of this week -- when suddenly I find that my credentials are being refused.

The symptoms

I've read and tried all the fixes proposed in the article at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202 (restarting thunderbird after each step, naturally)

  • have authorized Thunderbird to our Microsoft365 tenant
  • created and tried registering with a new thunderbird profile
  • have set my security settings to 'accept all cookies'
  • have used the config editor to remove 'oauth2.issuer' and 'oauth2.scope' values
  • I've checked that my account in Microsoft365 has IMAP and Authenticated SMTP enabled

So, since Monday, I've been living in hell, trying to pretend that the Microsoft Outlook app for macOS is useable, but it's practically debilitating to be forced to use that piece of software.

Can somebody please point me to another possible set of steps that I can use to try and diagnose this?

I absolutely hate myself for having to ask for help on this, but I'm at my wit's end...

Recently something changed in my e-mail which I have used for years in conjunction with G-mail hosted accounts / service (google workspace). I do not know if I clicked the wrong setting or what in either... I just know that I cannot see any emails over 30 days in any folder - regardless. And now many folders show no emails in because of no emails have been sent or received within the past 30 days in them. These store many "deals in the works" and notes from pasty dealings... I really need to access these but do not know how or where to find them... any help you can offer?

I'm 65 and have used this email for about 20 plus years... off and on have had problems that I have been able to get through but cannot get this one solved? Help!!

Due to AddOns-issues I always remained on 60.9.1 but wanted now to give 102.13.1 a try.

Everything seems to work (with all addons disabled) except the Program Exit.

With a copy of the same Profile (profile which contains many connections to imap and pop servers), terminating 60.9.1 was very fast, a matter of 1-2 seconds but terminating 102.13.1 takes 1-2 minutes.

When I look at System Explorer, after clicking Exit, not much seems to happen during those 1-2 minutes (till all processes are suddenly terminated). I also noticed that Thunderbird 60.9.1 did have 1 active process, Thunderbird 102.13.1 does have 4.

What is going on ? Or is this "normal" behaviour with those more recent releases ? Very annoying, so I'm switching back to 60.9.1 till I can solve this

for about a month now I have not been able to download mail on Thunderbird for the Gmail account Configuration: imap.gmail.com port 993 SSL/TLS Oauth2 I have double authentication, the confirmation request appears on my smartphone, I confirm, insert the password on Thunderbird, accept the conditions and get the error. I also tried to change the password (on Firefox and Chrome I log in regularly, on smartphones too), with Thunderbird 102.13.0 32 bit on windows 11 no.... Below are the screenshots

Hi; I noticed today that many years of archived emails have disappeared in all but 1 account(yahoo). The only years still there are 2020 and 2021 in 5 different accounts. 5 yrs in 1 account and complete 24 yrs in yahoo account. These accounts archives that disappeared are not stored on the mail server but locally. What has happened??? Can I get them back? How do I stop this from happening?

If I want to tag the email, I have to close the email and tag it in the list of all my emails. Also when an email is open, you can't see that it's been tagged (if it has been).

After upgade Thunderbird to 115.0.1 version, all my outlook.com email accounts encounter an error:

Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead Thunderbird detected a potential security threat and did not continue to account.live.com. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

What is the problem? Doesn't TB support outlook.com accounts anymore?

Up until recently when I clicked on an attached image, whether in a message I'm composing or one I've received, the image would open and immediately be visible on the screen. For some reason now when I click on the image (.jpg, .png, etc) it opens to the taskbar but I have to click on it to see it.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? For whatever reason it doesn't happen with other files types, such as .xls or .pdf. Those still open on top of TB. Only images that open with Photos (I'm using Windows 10) stay behind TB. I'm not seeing anything in the settings (either for Photos or TB) that would determine which window shows on top. Anyway suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
