After auto update this error message came up and will not allow Firefox to open. Earlier in the day it had also updated ( not sure to what version) and was working fine. Laptop was then shut down and turned off for aprox. 1 hr. I then turned it back on and tried to open Firefox and it again asked to allow Firefox to make changes to my computer to which I clicked Yes. It then would not open and this error came up. error message Platform version 127.0.2 is not compatible with minVersion >=127.0.1 maxVersion <= 127.0.1

I have been using sandrawhitfield@comcast.net as user name for Firefox account. I want to delete that email because I'm leaving comcast ASAP. I read instruction that say add a new email name as a secondary account and then delete the primary one above. I entered whitfieldsandra@gmail.com. I got a message that said that account already exists. Since I didn't know that or remember any password for it, I entered whitfieldsandra@gmail.com and said "forgot password." I changed it Now Firefox won't let me in using the whitfieldsandra@gmail.com account. Would appreciate any help you can offer.

I installed a dev version of Firefox to test a plugin.

Then I uninstalled the dev version, but now none of my profiles on the regular version work...

Please help me, I really need my old browser history and cookies.

When I try to use one of my old profiles, I get "You've launched an older version of Firefox" and it tells me to either Create New Profile or Exit.

I read online that people add "-allow-downgrade" to the Windows shortcut, but this does nothing for me.

Hello, I am using Firefox on a new computer, and I have a bizarre problem that I never experienced on other computers. The 'recently closed tabs' and 'recently closed windows' options are disabled. They are grey, and I can't click them (see image). Also, the 'reopen closed tab' when you right-click one of the tabs is disabled (grey). I have tried to search everywhere why it can happen and found nothing. Any advice on how to enable this option? Thanks

There was an update posted today. I ran the update this morning. Now Firefox will not open.

why do i get a message that firefox has crashed. what has happened. i am not satified with firefox. it is very slow and sometimes crashes.

but the main question is: what can i do right now.

I had the situation maybe a year ago. I use the Firefox profile manager.

I just updated to 127.02, and now not I'm getting this because for whatever reason, since the update, I am somehow on the beta channel, but only with this profile. I just opened two other profiles, and neither is on the beta channel, although i don't know what "Firefox is being updated by another instance" means.

I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but I'm also just noticing that a number of my addons settings have reverted to default.

When I used to take screenshots, they would be automatically named with the date, time, and part of the text captured regardless of language. A few days ago and with no reason I can discern, it now saves any non-English screenshots with something like this "Screenshot 2024-06-23 a[...].png" instead of "Screenshot 2024-06-22 at 08-02-28 Politics Policy Polit[...].png" (usual for English text and what I used to get with all languages).

Which means I have to manually rename screenshots. Does anyone know how I can fix this because I am working on a project with lots of screenshots for topics from different languages?

I just noticed today that none of my various folders storing important bookmarks work anymore and they have all lost their own indiviual logos. Instead there are just globe logos!? This is very recent so i can only imagine so kind of update has done this?

Can i get these fixed?

I recently suffered from the "127.0.1" not compatible error. Eventually I was persuaded to reinstall firefox from the Mozilla oficial site using Edge, despite having reservations about losing my passwords etc. which has happened before. Fortunately, the installation routine included an update option which preserved all of that. However, my menus bar (File ...... History, Bookmarks...) is missing and I cannot find any way to get it back. I rely upon it to restore previous sessions, because I routinely have the same 7 tabs open and want to be able to get them back after an update or laptop shutdown, and also use it to search history and find bookmarks that are not in the bookmarks bar. Any help welcome.

As an asside, my pet hate is updates to any application that remove, move, or hide a very useful feature without explanation or warning and claim to be to "improve the user experience". Take it from a long standing user, they don't. Quite the contrary.

how are shortcuts created on my "new tab" home page in firefox browser. I used to be able to create the shortcuts I wanted, not random shortcuts that I might have visited once. Now shortcuts appear that I don't want. I know I can remove them by dismissing them but I should not get them in the first place. Please help.

When im starting my computer, suddenly this program with old firefox logo auto starting on windows taskbar, i cant open(maximize) it....when i hover to that old firefox logo, it just shows random text......

If i'm opening task manager, that program or something is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\AlphaPress under the name update.exe.....i alrd close that program, delete that, and running malwarebytes, but didnt find any threat.....If u can reassure me that it wasnt dangerous malware or anything....maybe some real firefox update?

I'm working on ASUS, on Windows 86bit. If I reboot my PC g-mail works again for a couple of hours. I have no problem accessing my g-mail accounts from Chrome.

Often, when I go to history and try to restore session..it is greyed out. it occurs randomly, but It ALWAYS occurs after an update. This is so frustrating! It never happened on Edge or Chrome, not once. I know it might seem Karen-like fuming about it, but when you have dozens of important tabs open and they don't restore you too will become a karen. I'm almost about to uninstall Firefox because of it

I am trying to view uploaded videos in to my work portal and when I try to view the video this is the error message I receive. I am running WIndows 10 on my desktop. My Windows is up to date and I have cleared all cookies and still not working. Please help. Thank you

trying to restore previous settings i have accidentally created multiple copy's of bookmarks and folders. many have more than 10 copy's and i now have over 400 000 bookmarks. is there any quick way to delete the copys of bookmarks?

In Firefox, after a reboot, how can I re-open my previous sessions?

Originally I had quite a lot of open browsers & tabs. Then I needed to do a reboot, and now I've lost those previous sessions.

Usually I just open Firefox, and this opens one browser, and then all of my previous browser, and tabs reopen, but this time Firefox crashed, and its popup said it needed to restart, but it would re-open my previous browser and tabs, but it didn't.

After following the usual Firefox help guides, it still wouldn't re-open my previous sessions. Now if I ask it to open my previous sessions, it just opens the recent help guides, and not anything before the crash.

So is there a backup file of my missing sessions that I can roll back to?
