I'm trying to set my DNS settings in Firefox Nightly to a custom service. But i am having nothing but problems.

"Firefox Nightly 128.0a1 (Build #2016025199)"

I want to use one of these settings for the secured w/ECS:Malware blocking, DNSSEC Validation, ECS enabled.

My only problem is I'm not sure which format of the address options I should be inputting in the DNS settings in the about:config

Please help.

P S. Yes I know I can set a custom DNS address in the connections settings of my android device. And it works most of the time. I however want my own settings in the browser itself.

In Android 14 oneUI 6.0 i have an issue while i download, the progress of download doesn't show up, i have checked everything but only the Firefox notification of private search shows up, plus when it is downloading the file i have problems when browsing, like when i use the keyboard The keyboard automatically closes and doesn't allows me to type I don't know if i explain myself clear enough

I am writing to request assistance with an issue I am encountering on the latest version of the Firefox browser for Android. My goal is to open specified pages in the same tab using Intent from a third-party custom application. However, I have observed that different URLs open in separate tabs, contrary to my expectations.  Current Implementation:  Here is the code snippet I am currently using: java： Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW); intent.setData(uri); intent.putExtra(Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID, packageName); startActivity(intent); Expected Behavior:  I expect different URLs to open in the same tab without opening new tabs. This functionality is crucial for my application.  Issue Background:  I have researched similar issues and found that users have had comparable needs using Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID. Unfortunately, it appears that Firefox has not fully addressed this functionality. The EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID is a feature that modern browsers should ideally support to enhance user experience and maintain continuity within a single tab. Several times in the last 5 months, I received a notification on my Pixel 7 phone telling me that Firefox was, "using large amounts of data." The first time it was about 750 MB of data (in a 20-ish min period). Today, it was about 400 MB of data (also in a 20-ish minute period). Both times I was simply browsing news sites - catching up on the days news. Today, I was logged into the New York Times (I'm a subscriber) when I received the high data usage notification. I'm a dinosaur who is still on a limited - 2GB - plan, so gobbling up a quarter of my data in 20-ish minutes hurts. Any ideas how to troubleshoot this one?

I attempted to upload two screenshots showing my data usage - 1 showing the overall data usage - the spike. And the other showing Firefox usage. It is unclear to me whether or not the pictures uploaded. Also, I had written this query before but I'm not sure it submitted. If it did, I apologize for the repeat.

Issue 1: Why does Mozilla heat up so fast even though my device has no problems at all, and when will it be fixed? Because I've used Edge before, and it works very well and consumes little of my device resources. Issue 2 After the last update of Mozilla version 127.0.1, the use of in private mode became more difficult to use, and with my habit of keeping tabs open in private mode for a long time, sometimes up to 3 months. And I'd like to know when Mozilla will make it better for people who like to use it privately, because I don't like to use general mode, it's like there's constant surveillance for Mozilla users, and there are also cookies, so I don't like these and use them in privacy mode all the time I surf the web.And why is it harder for me to use it in In private mode? I have a hard time adjusting the buttons. I don't like the button that comes in place of the homepage button.

Firefox for iOS version 127.0 (42448) deletes tabs when app is closed. The option to keep tabs when the apps is closed has been removed from the privacy menu. So how can I configure the app to keep tabs between sessions?

The button in settings/privacy/close tabs automatically has disappeared in firefox for ios v 127. It appears that I no longer have the option to keep my private tabs open which is very inconvenient

When I opened my iPad all tabs saved in private browsing had disappeared. I keep them there not because they are particularly private but for ease of access. A note from Google said that it had changed my settings as they didn’t know if I was over 18. (I’m 75!) and I needed to sign in to Google. I always use Duck Duck Go as my search engine on my desktop and do NOT want to use Google if possible. Can you help. I’m really fed up/ angry about this intrusion. Sorry for explanatory ramble. From time to time firefox deletes suddenly all my tabs in normal as in private browsing. Also few years ago I could turn off the „close private tabs“ option in setting, but since firefox cleared off everything (again), that option ain‘t available anymore. Someone pls help.

I’m having a problem very similar to the one described here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1421173 from last year. Ever since the version 127.0 update from last week, all my private tabs are GONE. My regular tabs, including inactive tabs, are fine but more than 40 private tabs were lost (and I’m pissed because the nature of what those tabs were makes them very difficult to go re-find). Now, anything I open as a private tab vanishes if I leave the app for more than just a moment, even if I left it open to that tab. It makes the private browsing function effectively unusable for anything I’m not gonna just sit down and do in one sitting.

I don’t expect my 40+ lost tabs recovered, it’s a pain but it’ll be fine, but the function issue is NOT fine and needs to be fixed!

I'm on Firefox 127.0 (42448) ios and all my private tabs were closed on update and now whenever I make a private tab it disappears after the app is closed or refreshes. It's kind of behaving like the setting where private tabs are closed automatically but when I looked in the privacy settings of firefox ios it's not there anymore. Does anyone else have this issue? I know theres an existing problem with tabs for firefox but I don't think this is exactly the same because my normal tabs are totally fine.

Was the option to close privacy tabs removed recently? I would like to be able to save my tabs without losing them again. I only ask because I just like to organize my tabs instead of having all the tabs in one section.

Why would your team release a version that closes all tabs in private browser mode? Why would you not list this in your release notes? I only browse in Private mode and prefer to leave tabs open there. Please return the feature or give the user the option to close all tabs on exit

I usuallg keep a few tabs open in private browsing but now it seems they’re closing automatically when I come back from regular browsing. The settings/privacy/close private tabs doesn’t seem to exist in the setttings any longer. Did it move? Am I missing something? Reopening private tabs again and again sort of may push me out of Firefox on iOS altogether.

Firefox will close my private browsing tabs after inactive for a couple hours. I do not see any setting section for controlling when Firefox closes or doesn’t close private browsing tabs. Just started happening bout a day or 2 ago.

I’ve updated to IOS Firefox version 127.0 I lost a good chunk of tabs in the private browsing section after this update removed the ability to leave private browsing tabs open after exiting the app. Scrolling down to the privacy section of the settings for my application showed me that the button/prompt for that setting was removed outright. If this was an intentional decision, it should have been noted in the update/change logs in preview of the IOS app store. I don’t agree personally with this change, but it happened regardless.
