The size of the Thunderbird folder on my Windows 7 PC [C:\Users\ronbar\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird] increases daily. A side effect of this is to increase the size of my daily backup application. I have found if/after I update Thunderbird to its current version, the size of the Thunderbird folder is reduced.. Is there any way to safely reduce the size of my Thunderbird folder [e.g. by deleting files or folders in the Thunderbird folder] without needing to update Thunderbird? In trying to fix settings I have created 2 new account + the original, all with the same name. The system continually tries unsuccessfully then blocks me for too many attempts. 1. how do I delete the two new accounts, one IMAP and one Pop, without deleting the original much used account? 2. How do I change the settings on the old account so it connects through the messaging.co now iinet no longer runs it? It should be IMAP not pop. My attempts so far have just created new accounts and more problems.

I no longer receive emails from a company I do business with. I previously received all of their emails but none in the past several months. They have not made any changes so it must be a Thunderbird issue. I was told to check my spam/junk folder but I can't find in Thunderbird. Can you help?

Dear Support,

After setting up a new laptop, I have tried to use Thunderbird to download the entire contents of my GMail inbox. When I'm logged into GMail via my Firefox browser, I can see 62,635 messages dating all the way back to July 2008. I installed Thunderbird and created a profile to access my GMail inbox via POP3. Then I set Thunderbird to download new messages. After a few hours, Thunderbird has downloaded 23,485 messages dating back to December 23, 2022. How do I get Thunderbird to retrieve the remaining roughly 40,000 messages all the way back to the first message from August 15, 2008? Can Thunderbird also retrieve messages from GMails Spam folder and drafts folder?

Rogers is no longer generating codes to use for 3rd party apps such as Thunderbird. Consequently my husband's email is no longer funneling through. He is getting my emails to his folder. Is there any work around that you know of that will allow him to receive emails rather than utilized Rogers' web? If not, can you please instruct me on how to delete his account from Thunderbird. "Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent) due to network or file access errors. You can retry or save the message locally to Local Folders/Sent-petermillward441@gmail.com."
