I have two o365 accounts from different companies. One of them works fine the other I get "user authenticated but not connected" I turned off ipv6 globally and specifically for outlook.office.com and tried relogging even revoked the app and allowed it again. Sending emails somehow works but it keeps loading even after the email is received. I'm on Linux tried both native and flatpak app. These account also work just fine through davmail. The irony is that the account which doesn't work recommends Linux users to use thunderbird that's what promoted me to switch to it instead of davmail.

When I originally set up a POP account in Thunderbird for Mac some years ago, my address was at interchange.ubc.ca, then the POP server migrated to mail.ubc.ca

In Account Settings, my e-mail address, POP server name, and Copies and Folders names all reference mail.ubc.ca (as they should).

But in my ~/Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/<profileName>/Mail folder, the POP folder is still named pop.interchange.ubc.ca.

(N.B. <profileName> is a placeholder for my actual profile name, not displayed here for security reasons)

I have many filters set up to move messages to specific folders at the same level as my Inbox in my mail.ubc.ca POP mailbox, but whenever I restart Thunderbird and run a filter, I get the error, "The folder 'folderName' could not be found, so filter(s) associated with this folder will be disabled. Verify that the folder exists, and that filters point to a valid destination folder." (N.B. <folderName> is a placeholder here, for example it might be "Trash")

I can then select the destination folder in the "Choose folder ..." dropdown menu and run the filter, but whenever I restart Tbird, I get the same error all over again.

In the msgFilterRules.dat file for this account, I see lines like these: "actionValue="mailbox://<username>@pop.interchange.ubc.ca/<folderName>", e.g. actionValue="mailbox://<username>@pop.interchange.ubc.ca/Junk"

[N.B. <username> is a placeholder for my actual username

I'm wondering if this is due to a mismatch between the POP server name and the name of the POP mailbox folder in the Finder. Is it safe to change the name of the latter to "pop.mail.ubc.ca", and should this fix the problem? Will this automatically update the server name in the msgFilterRules.dat file, or do I have to edit it to replace all references to "pop.interchange.ubc.ca" with "pop.mail.ubc.ca".

If it is not safe to do this, or it is unlikely to fix the problem, any advice as to what to try instead would be greatly appreciated!

I'd like to create an event but set someone else in my address book as the organizer to whom all event replies will be sent. This is useful, for example, when my account is limited to ME@localhost and my Mail Transport Agent does address conversions.

I deleted a work account (hosted on google) and I keep getting pop-ups from Oauth to authenticate it. Looking at the troubleshooting information while it is not in the mail and news accounts list it does show up as an account.

Also, looking at the profile directories I seem to also see possible accounts that were deleted a long time ago but still straggling around.

How can I resolve this?

Able to access and view them all, but when sent to printer, they remain encrypted and print encrypted code. Have tried reinstalling Thunderbird, over previous installation.Have not tried uninstalling thunderbird before reinstalling.

I have two email accounts coming in to my Thunderbird app on the desktop. One account stopped loading messages to my inbox. I can get the messages on my phone for that account if I access them I don't use Thunderbird. I'm getting message that certificate if not valid. I did the trouble shooting for Thunderbird and cleared the cache. Can you please help? I downloaded the trouble shooting file if needed.

Hello, If you could explain what happen that caused my emails below a given point, having been received before the emails above said given point (about 20 emails ) will not open as usual, but instead I need to open in a different tab after right clicking. If I go to "conversations" I can see my incoming email. Hope that sort of explains the problem that I don't understand? Thanks for any help. Lee

Does Comcast email have a different password from the main password?

When I try to open Thunderbird, a message pops up that says the application had a problem and crashed. It also says that the crash reporter is unable to submit a report for the crash. It then says "Details: The application did not identify itself."

What do I do to fix this?

Can't reinstall Hotmail

I couldn't stop the 'need password' popups so I decided to uninstall my Hotmail account from Thunderbird and reinstall it. Unfortunately I am unable to reinstall it. When I try I get a message that the incoming server exists. I go into the advanced configuration and all ports are correct and Oauth2 authorization is selected. I changed to normal password and got the same error message. I checked and there was no outlook server under passwords on output server.

Next I opened a new outlook email and tried again. Now I get the error message 'could not get issuer for oathe authentication". I changed the authorization to normal password and got the error message 'Unable to log in at the server. Probable wrong configuration, username or password. I am sure that I am using the correct username and password.

Dzień dobry, korzystam z programu Thunderbird na laptopie z systemem windows 10, 64bit po ostatniej aktualizacji programu występuje problem po uruchomieniu programu kiedy pobieram wiadomości co ciekawe tylko od jednego klienta program się blokuje , nie mogę nic zrobić do momentu pojawienia się wiadomości w folderze , po jej odczytaniu i przeniesieniu do kosza następuje taki sam problem klikając na nią żeby całkowicie usunąć program znowu się na chwilę blokuje, tak jak wspomniałem wyżej dzieje się tak tylko z odbieraniem wiadomości od jednego nadawcy i problem wystąpił po ostatniej aktualizacji, przeinstalowałem program ale bez skutku , będę wdzięczny za pomoc, maciek

Thunderbird 128.1.0esr only work in troubleshoot mode

I migrated to a new computer with Windows 11 and to the latest TB nebula. I copied the profile folders to the new system and it imported 20 years of email correctly. BU… (pročitajte više)

I migrated to a new computer with Windows 11 and to the latest TB nebula. I copied the profile folders to the new system and it imported 20 years of email correctly. BUT every connections seems to hang and eventually times out. It almost looks like TB blocked by a firewall. Even checking for updates eventually times out. HOWEVER everything works fine in troubleshooting mode.

I have no add-ons installed. I have no VPNs or additional firewalls. Disabling Windows firewall entirely doesn't change anything. I tried "Make the changes and restart" with no success. I added thunderbird.exe to the exceptions to the windows firewall and even added a rule. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

Is there any setting related to the connection that would be different in troubleshoot mode? Apparently nobody has ever experienced this problem, I feel like I'm going insane.

Now thunder demands a new pass word to load new e-mails , the old pass word does not work any more ? Now have my internet with Optus as zetta would not talk to me from October 2023
