Firefox za iOS Community Forum

Whenever i use Firefox on my iPad, if I switch to another app and then back to Firefox, Firefox will automatically open up a new tab. I’d like it to stop, and just go to what I set it as in Preferences, or to what I’ve left open when I switched away from it. I’ve looked in Preferences and cannot find out how to stop it from opening new blank tabs by default.

Is there a way to stop it from doing this?

Quite a few news websites seem to be circumventing Firefox’s reader view feature. This includes my favorite tech website arstechnica.com which insists on using text that is too small to read. Now reader view can only be activated on this website on desktop. This is now the case with a bunch of websites recently. I hope you guys are working on this. Thanks again!

While using Mozilla Firefox browser on my iPad Pro, I often switch back and forth to different apps throughout my workday. The keyboard command shortcut I use is CMD+Tab to switch to different application windows.

The problem that I have is that every time I switch from a different application, BACK to Mozilla Firefox, instead of staying on the website/tab that I was on previously, it opens up a brand new tab. And I have to close the new tab out every single time just to back to the page I wanted to be at before.

In the settings, I can’t for the life of me figure out how to STOP the app from launching a new tab every single time I simply switch back to the application. It’s the most irritating function to have to constantly close out new tab windows.

Dear Sir/Madam,

The IOS version of Firefox (both iPhone and iPad) cannot receive tab pushed from all other devices (including pushed from Windows and IOS). I am sure that the Firefox on IOS devices is logged in and the notification of the IOS is on. This problem happened a few months ago which it was fine in the past.

I tried to logout the Firefox account and re-login. Also tried to delete the IOS apps and install again. But all the methods I tried cannot solve the problem.
