a few days ago, i encountered this weird symbol on my toolbar (check image). it basically looked like a blue keyhole, and this was the first time i encountered something like it, so i ran a gamut of virus scans from many different tools to see if it was a PUP virus or whatever, but nothing came up as a hit. I was puzzled on WHAT it was, but after i shut my browser down and rebooted it, the blue keyhole symbol vanished

so.....wat was dat?

I'm trying to give permission to a website to use my microphone, but if I copy in the web address, the "Allow" button doesn't appear & so when I hit "save changes" nothing happens.

Your instructions under "help" say to click on "Firefox" and click on "preferences". When I click on Firefox the menu does NOT have "Preferences" in it. What's up with that?? And how do I clear the cache and cookies?

As of January 2024, I am constantly being asked for a Primary Password when I use the Firefox browser. I do not believe I ever set a Primary Password or Master Password with Firefox, and I have been using Firefox for many years. When I go to the Settings page, it says to confirm my current Primary Password in order to change it. But I need to know my current password to do that. I also unchecked Primary Password, and got a pop-up that said if I remove my Primary Password my information will not be protected if my computer is compromised. Obviously, I don't want that to happen. Is it possible I am being asked for a Primary Password because I am using a VPN? Please advise on how to resolve this problem. I can't change my password, and I can't confirm ever setting one so I am concerned. Thank you.

I have a folder with multiple files in a Google drive. I want to share the folder with a person in :View only mode" where he cannot copy or download the files (while he is using the firefox browser). How can I do that ?

After a session with many tabs open, I will close the browser. It doesn't matter if I open browser immediately or the next day, or after rebooting computer, the same tabs remain.

This is the message I get. "Please unblock challenges.cloudflare.com to proceed." I can do nothing.

Things I've tried. Adding exceptions in the privacy settings in 2 seperate areas. Resetting Browser deafults. Turning off all vpn's and addons.

Nothing works.

I keep being told on certain websites to turn off my ad blocker. I don't have one. I don't even have one in the Extensions that's disabled. I have no idea how to get past this. What's turned on that I don't know about?

Yesterday the youtube website loaded fine. Today, if I type youtube.com in the address bar & hit enter it doesn't load.

I thought maybe a corrupt add-on so I removed all youtube related add-ons then rebooted the laptop.

No difference. YT wouldn't load.

It loads fine on edge.

Any ideas?

Recently, I've found I cannot successfully submit a superchat donation on Youtube while using Firefox. I was successful using Edge browser. Firefox asks to confirm the card number I'm using to chat, but then once acknowledged, the screen stays grey/white and doesn't ever clear to process the chat.

Since installing NordVPN I am unable to login. FireFox will not accept my password. However, it works on my android phone. I have installed the NordPass extension but the problem persists. How do I fix this issue. I want Bitwarden to manage my passwords.

I play diggy's adventure when I select full screen the game stays the same size but at the top of the screen the bottom half is black, I tried on a different browser and it works ok.

I make frequent use of the Windows system-level keyboard shortcut Windows Logo button + M to go directly to the Windows desktop. Firefox does not respond to this keyboard shortcut by minimizing. How can I fix this? I already tried refreshing Firefox. This is a big enough issue to get me to abandon the browser, since I depend on keyboard shortcuts.

youtube audio library is not working in this mozilla firefox. When I play an aduio from youtube audio library , they show me a message which is (Audio track is unavailable). Other audio and YouTube video is woking perfectly. Please solve this issues.
