AOL emails won't download to TB. POP. Spent hour and a half with AOL help, reset password, checked everything, got recent emails downloaded, but still can't connect for new mail. 'Server Error" " Log-in Failed" etc. Sending mail no problem. They say TB issue. Sudden stop 6/21/24. Mozilla help site directs me to find things on PC that I can't locate or understand. Not very tech-savvy, pretty frustrated.

I've managed to migrate emails from Outlook 2007 to Thunderbird 115.12.2 (64-bit). Everything was going great until I marked the messages as read. Now, I can't see the messages. I don't want that. I want to be able to archive my emails in folders -- I have the disk space to do so. How do I get my emails to appear (Thunderbird shows email counts, just can't see the messages), and fix it so that I don't lose them again?

I am not computer savy and I have tried every way I know to get to the following web site. Please help me. I put it in and it just says not logged in. I have tried changing passwords and that does not matter. Since my husbands departure, I have had the hardest time trying to access my husbands accounts. Luckily we have recovered many, but one of the most important ones is his thunderbird account. He is due to receive important information that I as his wife am unable to access. Can someone please point me in the right direction. Is there a way to remove the "read" message bar at the top of the mail. It shows all the messages you have read, so I don't have to keep deleting them. I've looked all over and can't find anything about it. TIA Linda

Hi, I am hoping to have two thunderbird downloads/accounts on the same computer.

ie can I run 2 separate thunderbird portals -

one for my talktalk emails

and a completely separate one for my gmail/google accounts.

I know I would be able to load the gmail/google onto my original Thunderbird account (but I would like to keep them completely unconnected)

Hi I have just installed thunderbird and I have 2 email accounts. In both of the accounts I can't find the "sent" folder. Thunderbird is showing only the inbox folder and the trash folder.

Hello Since Youtube on mozilla got updated, it changed showing description and comments to the right, (instead of the bottom) there is missing info on the right When a video has timestamps it is not showing all the description that has in it instead is showing only timestamps When a video doesn't have timestamps then you can see everything and no description is missing The timestamps on a video is blocking the description of the video Soon as I press see more it's showing only the timestamps of the video not the description Is there any solution about?

Prior to ~1 week ago, my process of using Firefox was as follows:

• Open a new tab, search for something, click through a few links

If I couldn't find anything relevant in the first page of results, I'd navigate back to the Firefox Home Page and try another search. I hate going past the first page of results!

However, as of ~1 week ago, I can no longer navigate to the Firefox Home Page - why is this?

Ladies and Gentlemen, I use Firefox for Android on my Xiaomi Phone. If I enter a search phrase and Press enter I receive the topics found. But if I want to change the search phrase in this same tab it is not working. It Always jumps back to the old one. I have to open a new tab and enter the new search phrase. I have been running Thunderbird for almost seven years now, and these behaviors have persisted since day one on my laptop and desktop computer. First, I have five accounts set up. I am running two add-ons (Provider for Google Calendar, and Quicktext). I am currently running a snap version 115.12.2 of Thunderbird on both machines and they both are running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. Plenty of RAM and plenty of free disk space.

Here are the two issues...

1. More often than not, when an email comes into one of the inboxes and I am viewing the unified inbox there are two copies of the same email. If I switch back to the actual inbox of the account it only shows the one. This is very aggravating and when you start trying the delete emails from the unified inbox it gets all hosed up and I end up having to go to each individual mailbox to delete the messages.

2. This somewhat relates to issue one... Sometimes when an email is deleted from the unified inbox, a blank record remains like in the image. This shows only one but sometimes there are multiple ones. Of course, if I go to that message's inbox it is not there.

I have tried all the common things like deleting the index files to let the indexes rebuild, comparing folders etc., and again, this has been a persistent problem since day one. Any insight or solution would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. i ran into a broken problem. sometimes when i bootup my pc and start the firefox, My windows crashes immediately. what shuld i do and how i can send the firefox log files to mozilla team?

I have set Firefox to not automatically restore the previous session on launch. That is, "Open previous windows and tabs" is unchecked in the Startupsettings.

Most of the time it does not do so, however the previous session will get erroneously auto-restored in the folowing circumstances.

Open a few tabs in a normal Firefox window. Fully quit Firefox (via, for example, pressing ctrl+shift+Q). Open a private window first. Open a normal window second.

What should happen is that the new normal window contains just a single new tab. What actually happens is that the tabs that were open in the previous session get auto-restored in this normal window.

To sum up, there is no auto-session restore if Firefox is launched with a normal window first. There is auto-session restore if Firefox is launched with a private window first, and then a normal window is opened second.

Is this a known issue, and are there any known fixes to prevent the auto-session restore in the latter case also?

Hi, I recently opened an account on my iMac with a news media provider. I opted for the Mozilla-generated email mask and securely-generated password. In both cases the mask and password consist of a very long sequence of randomly generated characters. Just wondered if there is an easy way to log in to apps on iphone without having to copy out a long sequence of characters for both email mask and password? Using latest version Sonoma 14.5. iPhone 15 iOS 17.5.1.

In recent Firefox versions, long container names are trimmed to around fifteen letters. Is there a way to disable this feature?

Since containers are named by the same user as the browser, people who want shorter names will name shorter ones by themselves. I wonder who wants this feature.
