The Settings Selection "Always ask me where to save [downloaded] files." has no effect. FF will automatically save the file into whatever folder I selected. (As it happens, that is \MyReceivedFiles.) This means I have to download again to the correct directory/folder and give it a new name. Because there is no "Save As" option. I do not have this problem in Edge browser. This exact same problem was posted at "Downloads default to download folder and never ask where to save them. Hi, with every new firefox update, the firefox icon no longer remains in the taskbar. Firefox now must be manually located in programs and then re-pinned to the taskbar (and/or to the start-menu or desktop if that's your preference).

Prior to this year the shortcuts always copied across with each update, but no longer. Is this a Firefox issue, or a Microsoft issue? I run Windows 10 on my PC.

Please help, Firefox will not start. Last night after 8:00 PM 7/24/24 it would not open. I get this Windows 10 error message; XUL runner: Error platform version 128.0.2 is Not compatible with 128.0 min 128.0 max

Idk exactly what happened, other than that I changed emails on my Mozilla account and when I signed into connect.mozilla.org with it, it had me create a new username. My old profile page is still up.

About 40 emails have been deleted from a sub folder on the side of my Thunderbird and I can't seem to find a solution to get them back. It happened I believe after I chose to "repair folder" option. Please help!

I went through all my installed software today, with the intentions of cleaning up shop, and opened Thunderbird to see - what the status of the program was.

My installed version is: 91.6.1 I clicked the three bars, "help", and "about Thunderbird" to look for the latest update.

According to my program, Thunderbird is up-to-date - and I am on the "release update channel" - so I checked the website, in-case the program had been permanently cancelled.

Clearly, the website has been updated more than once - and the program aswell.

I had a similiar problem, with another piece of software - so maybe there is an overlap of some sort.

Hello, I have FF 128.0.2 (64-bit) on macOS 14.5 macbook pro.

Recently, in the past week or so, if I close my laptop and then open it up a few minutes or an hour later, FF doesn't connect to the internet at all. Error says that "you may be behind a firewall"

No firewall. Chrome, safari, MS Edge all connect to the internet but FF refuses to. Toggling wifi on/off for a few mins does nothing. Closing and reopening FF doesn't work. The only solution is to completely restart the machine (macbook pro).

Needless to say, this is incredibly frustrating. Anyone else having this issue?

It's really basic functionality like this I wish FF would focus on rather than all the experiments for new tab layouts, etc. that the community seems to be busy with. Side note: there's other 'quality' issues with FF lately e.g. if the Print dialog is opened, the entire browser window "greys out" even when going back to any of the tabs or windows... it stays in this greyed out mode as though the application isn't the selected one even though it clearly says FF in the upper left as the open application.

Any help is greatly appreciated. FF has really seemed to be declining in quality over the past year and it's sad to see.

I imported Firefox bookmarks from old to new Dell PC via HTML file. That resides only screen but when I open it up it is not formatted the same.

Mainly I want to know how to get it to show up on my Firefox screen... PROPERLY 😉

Dell 5415 new PC.

Recently today I changed my firefox password, and successfully used my new password to login. Now I am unable to login successfully using what I believed to be my new password. A few minutes ago I was able to access gmail using my new password, but just now when I closed and reopened Firefox my password was not accepted.

Mozilla updated on my computed. After the update, the forward and back arrows on my top toolbar only work when I am in the Mozilla settings page. If I am on any other site, in order to get off the page or move back to a previous page, I must go to my app taskbar, highlight the Mozilla icon whereby all open pages that have not been closed appear and locate the previous page I need to refer back to. This is very inconvenient and seriously effects the ease of accomplishing whatever app I am trying to enjoy or task I am attempting to accomplish. Was there are bug incorporated in today's update?
